Human affairs and nature are an endless source of inspiration to me.
I materialize my observations and try to create work that stimulates the
viewers' imagination. It results in autonomic pieces, which are, instead
of decorating a room or hanging in a museum, worn on bodies.

continua fuente de inspiración para mí.
Materializo mis observaciones e intento crear una obra que estimule
la imaginación del espectador.
El resultado son piezas autonómicas que, en lugar de decorar una
habitación o estar colgadas en un museo, se llevan en el cuerpo.

His work follows a conceptual path realized with patience and

Music, mathematics, and geometry inform the elemental
designs created by the artist. Abba builds three-dimensional
decorative forms that at once echo modern architecture and
the natural world.
La serie de Oscar Abba de piezas en plata y oro crea un
discurso caracterizado por una sucesión de líneas y planos.
Su obra sigue un camino conceptual realizado con paciencia
y una meticulosidad absoluta.
La música, las matemáticas y la geometría forman los
diseños elementales creados por el artista. Abba construye
formas decorativas tridimensionales que hacen referencia a
la arquitectura moderna y al mundo natural.

What I find really fascinating, and one of the reasons why
it’s so interesting to make jewellery, is the moment of
recognition when something that comes across as cute
and pretty, has on second glimpse an almost obscene
grotesqueness. I would say this quality probably works
best in jewellery, where politeness and cold-blooded
anger can clash mercilessly into one another.
Lo que realmente me fascina y una de las razones por las
que es tan interesante hacer joyas, es el momento de
reconocimiento: algo que de entrada parece mono y bonito,
se vuelve casi obsceno y grotesco cuando se mira por
segunda vez. Diría que esta cualidad es mas patente en las
joyas, donde la cortesía y la ira a sangre fría pueden chocar
despiadadamente.

Not following any rules or guidelines traditionally related to the
practice of enamelling, I have developed my own method of
applying and fusing powder enamel on various types of chain.
The appeal to me is that each piece is unique. My designs cannot
be pre-conceived; each piece is allowed to create itself.
No sigo las normas o pautas típicas del esmaltado, y he
desarrollado mi propio método para aplicar y fusionar
esmalte en polvo en varios tipos de cadena.
El principal atractivo para mi es que cada pieza es única.
