T his week’s Lenten mediation is about Life and the “resurrection power” of God. God can bring life to ANY situation of death--that’s Ezekiel’s wisdom--the dead, white bones lying on the desert floor--the Jewish soldiers of Judah slain by the Babylonian advance--are “restorable.” And, indeed, in his lifetime, Ezekiel saw Judah restored. If we live long enough we see that NO defeat is eternal--and God tells us--not even the seeming defeat that we experienced in our physical death. The story of Lazarus is about that “resurrection power” which is greater than all our doubt. What in YOUR life and relationships needs resurrection this Lent? -Fr. -Padre Bill Axe WHERE THERE’S A WILL THERE’S A WAY St Agatha is a special place, where we are touched daily by God’s presence among us. And from this freedom within commitment there arises every sort of fruitfulness.” - Adrienne von Speyr To build and foster a Christian Community that offers the opportunity to experience God God’s ’s unconditional love and acceptance to all who come into contact with it. T he season of Lent and Easter display for us the drama of death and resurrection. We hear this so clearly in today’s readings. The first reading has such powerful imagery to lift the exiled Israelites and give them hope. We need to hear that also in today’s world. We live in a society that doesn’t seem to need God or each other. Our technology has become so necessary for many people. What would life be like if we didn’t have our phones or computers? Would we take the time to talk to another person, or look them in the eye when speaking to them? Perhaps this could be a Lenten offering. Take the time to talk to someone and spend time with them, without all the technology. What do you see and hear and learn about the other? Maybe we could do this with God as well and see what He has to say to us. Que tengan una semana agradable, Hermana Karen Have a good week, Sr. Karen TOGETHER IN MISSION PLEDGE BILLINGS RECORDATORIOS DE PAGO DE UNIDOS EN MISIÓN The monthly pledge billings for the Together in Mission pledges have been mailed. April 5—10AM Choir, Contact and Assist Yvonne Shoulders "NOBODY CAN DO EVERYTHING BUT EVERYBODY CAN DO SOMETHING" Thank you Tere, Religious Ed teachers, students and parents for the donation of 200 plus sandwiches and 100 plus desserts for our guests. We appreciate the sacrifices that are made in the name of Jesus by so many caring church family members in reaching out to provide a meal for our guests. In today's economy it is not easy to be able to provide for the needs of others. But God places it on your heart and He makes a way to place what is needed on your path for you to pass on. Is it not amazing how God uses us to be a blessing for someone? Praise God who is our provider for sending saints in the form of St. Agatha Church Family to serve. Amen. If you forgot to return your filled Lenten Grocery Bag today and if you plan to donate any portion of the 35 filled Easter baskets that are needed for the Saturday children you may bring these to the PC Office before 2PM on Saturday April 11. We are in need of the names of businesses and the name of the person to direct a request letter to for consideration of a donation for the Christmas Day Dinner. We need to submit a letter for consideration early for any possible consideration. These letters will be mailed to the possible donor During and after the Christmas Day Dinner we are approached with "why don't you send a letter asking ---------to donate something" then it is to late. Now is the time to submit those names to us. You may place the names and the person to address a request to in an envelope addressed to S.H.A.R.E in the offertory collection during mass. We would like these by May 1 please. April 12—Spanish Lectors, Contact Dn. Ricardo Ladies if you have new/ unused make up, nail polish, perfume that you brought and decided you don't want it please considered donating these for Mother's Day for our guests. You may bring these on Sunday April 27 or drop off to the PC Office during the week God id good all the time all the time God is good. We know that it seems like in this column we seem to have many request. We know that God provides all that we need. He does this through all of us and in turn we do this through sharing and passing on our blessings to supply someone needs. It is true the more you give the more you are given. Our blessing may not be a financial blessing, it may be good health, something in your family that you have been praying about, a job, guidance, marriage, a compassionate listening heart, peace, there are some many blessings that we miss that God sends our way that we need to be grateful for and to share and pass on for someone who is need of a touch and blessing in knowing "YES Jesus and somebody LOVES me and CARES.". Amen. Thank you for your support because it only with the grace of God and you dear family are we able to be a blessing and serve our guests each Saturday. Our prayer for you today is that as you continue on your Lenten journey towards Resurrection Sunday may you find peace in giving and sharing the gifts that God has blessed you with, with the stranger who you rush by looking the other way each day. Let it begin with giving your smile away before you leave church today. Blessings, The S.H.A.R.E. Ministry Sun 6 Grocery Bags Coll.
