Pruebas de laboratorio: ECOPIEDRA dispone de un
laboratorio propio de control donde ensaya y comprueba la
calidad de las materias primas y de los productos acabados.
Las pruebas son realizadas por nuestro laboratorio y
contrastadas por laboratorios homologados.
Componentes de hormigones: ECOPIEDRA utiliza
exclusivamente áridos y cementos de alta resistencia y
calidad.

Heladicidad (resistencia a las heladas): Ensayos nuestros
productos según la normativa UNE EN 14617-5 (modalidad
más exigente) del siguiente modo: en 25 ciclos completos de
hielo-deshielo no se observa ningún efecto visible de
desconchamientos, fisuras, grietas, etc...
Ciclos de hielo: la temperatura de la cámara frigorífica baja
en un plazo de 4 horas a -20ºC y se mantiene así durante 2
horas. A continuación son sumergidos por completo durante
2 horas en agua de +20ºC. Estos ensayos han sido realizados
por nuestro laboratorio y contrastados por el laboratorio
homologado EPTISA.

Con independencia del tipo
de revestimiento de suelo
que elija, debe colocarlo
siempre con una inclinación
de 2,5% como mínimo.
Además, la inclinación de la
explanada mejorada debe
ser idéntica a la del suelo
acabado. Se debe prever
igualmente evacuaciones de
agua.
Pueden existir matices de
tonos en razón de la
utilización de materiales
naturales. Le aconsejamos
reunir todos los productos
antes de comenzar el
trabajo y en el momento de
la colocación mezclar los
palets.
Para ser admisibles las
reclamaciones de aspecto u
otras, deberán efectuarse
antes de la colocación,
puesto que nuestra
responsabilidad se limita
únicamente a la sustitución
de productos defectuosos,
excluyendo cualquier
contribución a los gastos
de desmontaje y nuevo
montaje.
Se prohíbe estrictamente el
uso de productos de tipo
ácido o derivado, como
sales contra el hielo u otros
productos que deterioren el
cemento y causen daños
irreparables.
ACLARACIÓN
Estos «consejos de
colocación» de las baldosas
y pavimentos están
adaptados a una aplicación
ordinaria en el marco de
espacios privados. En todos
los demás casos, nos
remitimos a las normas de
uso y colocación vigentes.
GENERALITIES
Regardless of the type of

CLARIFICATION
These «tips on laying» the
tiles and paving are
adapted to an ordinary
application in the context
of private spaces. In all
other cases, we refer to the
standards of use and laying
currently in force.
1- PREPARACIÓN DEL TRABAJO Y TERRENO. DIBUJAR
PREVIAMENTE EL PROYECTO CON UN PLANO DE
COTAS Y SUPERFICIES.
Trasladar las dimensiones del plano al terreno, delimitando la
superficie con estacas y cordeles. Definir bien el nivel del suelo
acabado que desea.
Para que la colocación resulte más rápida, marque los extremos
del enlosado con estacas, uniéndolas con un cordel. Así contará
con una guía para delimitar la superficie del solado. Prepare el
piso excavando unos cimientos de 10/12 cm de profundidad.
Eche una capa de gravilla, alísela y compáctela. El nivel de la
capa deberá quedar unos 8 cm por debajo del nivel definitivo
para poderlo igualar con una pequeña capa de mortero.
1- PREPARATION FOR THE WORK AND THE SITE. DRAW
THE PROJECT BEFOREHAND ACCORDING TO A
MEASUREMENT DRAWING AND TOPOGRAPHICAL
SURVEY PLAN
Apply the measurements of the plan to the site, delimiting the
surface with stakes and cords. Define well the level of finished
surface you wish to have.
For faster laying, mark the ends of the paving with stakes and
join them together with a cord. This will give you a guide for
delimiting the surface of the paving. Prepare the decking by
digging foundations of around 10/12 cm deep. Place a layer of
gravel while smoothing and compacting it. The level of the layer
must be around 8 cm below the definitive level so that it can be
leveled off with a small layer of mortar.
2- COLOCACIÓN DE PAVIMENTOS ECOPIEDRA GREEN
GENERALIDADES
La arena utilizada debe ser «lavada» (arena de río u otro).
Con independencia de la naturaleza del lecho de colocación,
éste debe tener una acción drenante para evitar acumulaciones
de agua en el plano inferior de las baldosas.
2.1 Colocación sobre lecho de arena
Extender en la base bien apisonada el lecho de colocación: una
capa de 4 a 5 cm de arena de río que deberá igualarse con regla
colocada sobre cuñas de nivel. Colocar acto seguido las baldosas
comprobando el nivel de cada una de ellas. Perfeccionar la
regularidad con una espiga o una maza de caucho (evitar las
mazas de color negro que marcan las baldosas).
2.2 Colocación sobre capa de mortero
Para preparar el mortero aconsejamos 6 partes de arena por 1
de cemento. El mortero estará lo bastante húmedo como para
facilitar el trabajo y evitar que manche las losas, cosa que
ocurriría con un mortero demasiado líquido. Prepare la
cantidad necesaria para cada media hora de trabajo.
2.3 Colocación sobre gravilla
Con relación a esta técnica, el lecho de colocación debe preverse
sobre un grosor de aprox. 5 cm y una granulometría de 15 mm
como máximo.
Las demás condiciones de aplicación son idénticas a las
precedentes.

2.4 Colocación con cola (sobre base rígida de hormigón
únicamente)
La colocación con cola sólo puede efectuarse sobre un soporte
totalmente seco (tiempo de secado de unos 2 meses), limpio y
sin polvo. La cola de mortero elegida debe ser obligatoriamente
ECOCEMENT NATURA.
Extender la cola de mortero sobre el soporte con una alisadora
o una paleta y distribuir con peine dentado de 20 mm. La
colocación de tas baldosas debe efectuarse siempre con un
doble encolado: revestir el dorso de las baldosas con cola de
mortero con la parte no dentada del peine. Aplicar a
continuación sobre los surcos de cola. Trabajar con limpieza: ir
limpiando bien, a medida que avanza el trabajo, los restos de
cola de mortero-cola sobre la superficie de las baldosas porque
resultan difíciles de eliminar una vez secos.
2- LAYING OF ECOPIEDRA GREEN PAVING
GENERALITIES
The sand used must be «washed» (white sand or other).
Regardless of the nature of the laying bed, it must have a
draining mechanism in order to prevent water from
accumulating under the tiles.
2.1 Laying on a sand bed
Extend the laying bed on a well rolled flat base: one layer of 4
or 5 cm of white sand must be leveled off with a ruler placed on
leveling wedges. Lay the tiles immediately while verifying the
level of each one. Finish the regularity with a dowel or a rubber
mallet (avoid black colored mallets as they mark the tiles).
2.2 Laying on a layer of mortar
To prepare the mortar we would advise 6 parts of sand for 1
part of cement. The mortar must be sufficiently damp to
facilitate the work and at the same time avoid soiling the
pavers, which happens when the mortar is too liquid. Prepare
the amount necessary for each half hour of work.
2.3 Laying on gravel
With respect to this technique, the laying bed must have a
thickness of approximately 5 cm and a grain of 15 mm at most.
The other indications for laying are the same as the foregoing.
2.4 Laying with glue (only on a rigid base of concrete)
Laying with glue may only be done on a completely dry surface
(drying time of around 2 months), that is clean and dust free.
The mortar glue chosen must, of necessity, be ECOCEMENT
NATURA.
Extend the mortar glue on the surface with a smoothing blade
or a trowel and spread a 20 mm layer with a comb trowel. The
tiles must always be laid using the double-bonding technique:
cover the back of the tiles with mortar glue using the non-comb
part of the trowel. Then press them on to the grooves of glue.
Clean as you work: as the work progresses, clean the remains of
mortar glue left on the surface of the tiles because they are
difficult to remove when dry.
3- PECULIARIDADES
3.1 Si el enlosado va a soportar el paso de vehículos (acceso al
garaje, etc.) se aconseja poner una capa de hormigón de unos
10/15 cm. de espesor. Para calzar las losas correctamente a
nivel, colóquelas y ajústelas con la ayuda de una regla y un
mazo. Repítalo en cada hilada. Prevea dejar 1 cm. de junta
entre las losas.
3.2 Según la fecha de fabricación y los materiales naturales
utilizados, pueden existir leves diferencias de tonalidad en
nuestros productos. Por lo tanto, se recomienda reunir los
materiales en la zona de trabajo de una sola vez antes del inicio

3.3 Por otra parte, pueden constatarse algunas variaciones
de dimensión inherentes al aspecto voluntariamente
rústico de nuestros productos. Éstas no podrán ser objeto de

3- PECULIARITIES
3.1 If the paving is going to support the passage of vehicles
(garage entrances, and so forth) we would recommend that a
layer of cement of a thickness of around 10/15 cm be laid. To fit
the pavers correctly at level, lay them and adjust them with the
aid of a ruler and a mallet. Repeat this for each row. Ensure
that you leave 1 cm. joints between the pavers.
3.2 Depending on the production date and the natural
materials used, there might be slight differences in the shades
of our products. Therefore we recommend that you set out all
the pallets before you start work and as you lay, alternate
pieces from the different pallets.
3.3 Moreover, there might be variations in sizes inherent in
the rustic appearance of our products. This aspect is not
subject to claims or litigation insofar as it falls within the
margin of tolerance generally accepted in this product.
4- REALIZACIÓN DE LAS JUNTAS
Prevea dejar 1 cm. de junta entre las losas. Para realizar el
sellado de las juntas utilizaremos un modero para rejuntar
ECOCEMENT NATURA, producto que permite el llenado de
las juntas utilizando una manga pastelera, y posterior
compactado con la utilización del “llaguero” para que queden
bien selladas. Este tipo de junta es permeable, por lo que es
muy importante haber previsto un buen sistema de drenaje en
el pavimento. Posteriormente aconsejamos utilizar hidrófugo
ECOCEMENT NATURA que para impermeabilizar el
pavimento y las juntas. Evite sellar las juntas en días de lluvia o
con el pavimento mojado.
4) MAKING THE JOINTS
Ensure you leave 1 cm. joints between the pavers. To seal the
joints, use an injection grouting tube ECOCEMENT NATURA,
which product enables you to fill the joints using a piping bag,
and then compress them with the aid of a joint trowel so that
they are well sealed. This type of joint is permeable, therefore it
is absolutely essential to have anticipated a good drainage
system in the paving. Subsequently, we recommend that you use
water-repellent ECOCEMENT NATURA to make the paving
and the joints watertight. Avoid sealing the joints on rainy days
or when the paving is wet.
5- LIMPIEZA FINAL DE OBRA
La limpieza final de los pavimentos debe ser esmerada:
• No utilizar nunca productos de tipo ácido (clorhídrico u
otros).
• No emplear un limpiador de alta presión.
5) END-OF-WORK CLEAN
The final cleaning of the paving must be painstaking:
• Never use acid-type products (hydrochloric acid or others).
• Do not use a high pressure cleaner.

• Certain color products might, due to humidity, undergo a
phenomenon called “efflorescence”. This is no more than a
whitish crystalline deposit forming on the surface of the
product. The phenomenon is beyond our control and is
characteristic of all quality products manufactured with
cement, and it goes away in time and with use.
