We hope that everybody had a wonderful Spring Break and had the
chance to spend time with friends and family. We are feeling
reenergized and excited to finish the rest of the year strong!
-No School
In three weeks, we will be taking our End of Cycle 4 Interim Assessments.
These assessments will be cumulative, and will measure how much your
child has learned from the beginning of the year until now. Now is a
great time to reach out to your child’s teacher to see how you can help
him or her at home in reaching the end of cycle goals. You can help set
your child up for success by reviewing content from his/her homework,
reading every night, and practicing math facts regularly.

FLC Meeting- April 15th
In our April 15th FLC Meeting, we will be discussing plans for Teacher Appreciation Week on May 4th. Please
attend if you would like to help with providing lunch for our amazing teachers that week! Please note that all
classroom representatives must attend every FLC meeting. We will
continue to take attendance each meeting.
!Attendance and Tardies
As part of our efforts to increase attendance, the classes with the highest
attendance each week will receive an attendance trophy during Comienza
Ignite on Monday morning. They will be able to keep the trophy in their
classroom all week long as a reward for their great attendance!
Congratulations to Oregon/UCLA (tie) and NYU who won the trophy last
week!
!
Congratulations to second grade who had the highest attendance for the
month of March. As a reward for their great attendance, second grade
received Free Dress Day on Thursday, 4/16. As always, students with
perfect attendance will receive monthly awards during Comienza Ignite.
!Chuck E. Cheese Limo Ride
The Chuck E. Cheese limo ride for students who sold 20 or more items
during our Blue Dog Fundraiser will be on Thursday, April 9. If you are interested in being a chaperone for the
field trip to Chuck E. Cheese please let Ms. Sanchez, Ms. A or Ms. Flores know. Permission slips should be
returned to the office.
!Popcorn Fundraiser
We are so excited to have launched our Popcorn Fundraiser. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards
instructional supplies. We will be collecting order forms and money envelopes during the times indicated
below, please make sure the top section of each form is completed. We will not be collecting orders at any
other time. !

Esperamos que todos tuvieron una maravillosa vacaciones de
primavera y tuvo la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con amigos y
familia. Nos sentimos energizados y entusiasmados para terminar el
resto del año!
En tres semanas, estaremos tomando nuestras evaluaciones
provisionales de fin de ciclo 4. Estas evaluaciones serán acumulativas,
y medirán lo mucho que su hijo/a ha aprendido desde el principio del
año hasta ahora. Ahora es un buen momento para hablar con la
maestra de su hijo/a para ver cómo se le puede ayudar en casa para
lograr los objetivos de ciclo final. Usted puede ayudar a establecer a su
hijo/a para el éxito por repasar el contenidos de la tarea con su hijo/a,
leer todas las noches, y practicar las operaciones matemáticas regularmente.
