Crisálida, after eighteen years of mature experimentation, finally - after five records - take the route to the Olympus of transcendental names in the
national scene, thanks to the recording shaped by an established Daniel Cardoso (drummer for Anathema), “Terra Ancestral”.
A record that after two years of a lot of sacrifice (between composing, recording and promoting) has harvested results without obstacles. In fact, the
response that its 2015 production’s had (and still has) in the media has come naturally, since the work speaks for itself.
Many have been the congratulations -from the old continent, to renowned entities from the fourth art- have been received for these seven songs to the
rescue of our national identity, mixed with the most psychodelic passages along Chile, and elements from popular music in its Progressive, Metal and
Fusion currents...
But that is the past, that even though it backs a well sponsored present, it looks over to a promising future. Embracing changes, the band endorses
ethical turns towards the benefit of expanding its DNA, such as the award for “Best Metal Act” (Pulsar 2016 - Chilean “Grammy” awards) and with a
vast array of highlighted opening performances for acts of every generation (from Deep Purple, Therion, Riverside, Anathema, The Gathering, Asia, The
Gentle Storm among others) consecrating their act to a diverse audience at The Metal Fest (Megadeth, Dark Angel, Voivod) and Baja Prog Festival
in Mexico (Steve Hackett, The Crimson ProjeKCt, Eddie Jobson, among others). With this, and led by Cinthia Santibáñez, they set their eyes onto the
next goal: Europe.
BIOGRAFÍA
Crisálida, a sus 18 años de experimentaciones maduras, por fin toman -tras cinco discos- la ruta hacia el olimpo de nombres trascendentales de la
escena nacional, gracias al registro moldeado por un consolidado Daniel Cardoso (baterista de Anathema), “Terra Ancestral”.
Disco que tras dos años de mucho sacrificio (entre composición, grabación y viralización) ha cosechados logros sin pie forzado. De hecho, la respuesta que ha tenido (y sigue teniendo) su producción 2015 en los medios, se ha dado de forma natural, pues el trabajo del conjunto habla por sí solo.
Han sido muchas las felicitaciones -desde el viejo continente, hasta renombrados académicos del cuarto arte- recibidas para estas siete canciones
al rescate de nuestra identidad musical, fusionado con los pasajes más sicodélicos a lo largo de Chile, entre elementos de la música popular en sus
vertientes progresivo, metal y fusión…
Pero eso ya es pasado, que si bien respalda un presente auspicioso, mira hacia un futuro prometedor. Abrazando los cambios, la banda dedica turnos
éticos en pro de expandir su identificación; al reciente premio como “Mejor Artista Metal” (Pulsar 2016 – Premios Grammy Chilenos) y tras un
puñado grande de aperturas de shows a referentes de ayer y hoy (desde Deep Purple, Therion, Riverside, Anathema, The Gathering, ASIA, The Gentle
Storm entre otros) consagrando su propuesta ante un variado público en The Metal Fest (Megadeth – Dark Angel - Voivod o el exclusivo Festival Baja
Prog en México junto a Steve Hackett, The Crimson Project, Eddie Jobson, entre otros), los comandados por Cinthia Santibáñez fijan su atención en
su próximo objetivo: la antigua Europa.
