I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather. Many good things are happening in the community. Please take a nice walk
through the neighborhood – visit one of our parks, get something to eat at one of our great restaurants, but most importantly,
spend some time outdoors in our city.
Please take a look at some our most recent improvements and remember there is so much more to come!
Police Memorial Park – 11th and West Streets
Please visit this beautiful, new park. One side is designated as a play area
for young children with splash toys and beautiful police-themed play
toys. On the other side of the park is a life-sized monument dedicated to
the Union City police officers who died in the line of duty. Bronze plaques
of each officer are displayed in their likeness. This park is a must visit!
The beauty and honor of this park can be felt when you visit.
Union City High School Sanctuary
This is a peaceful and beautiful green space for Union City High School
students and residents. The space has various plants and a waterfall to
sit, relax and enjoy. It is a serene space and a nice compliment to a busy
street like Kennedy Boulevard.
Beautification of Our Streets and Sidewalks
Recently we have completed work on the streets listed below with paving, new sidewalks, hundreds of new trees and decorative
lights. We will continue to complete as many streets as possible over a period of time depending on the funding we can secure.
If you get a chance, please take a look around your neighborhood at the streets that have recently been beautified.

This summer and into 2017 you will see additional streets paved,
new sidewalks and trees, etc.

• 22nd Street to Palisade Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard
Many other streets will be added at a later date.
Please help us keep your block clean. If you see trash on
your sidewalk, please help us by sweeping it up or hosing
down your sidewalk.

Police Memorial Park – la calle 11 y West Street
Por favor, visite este hermoso, parque nuevo. Un lado del parque está
designado como una zona de juegos para niños pequeños con juguetes
de agua y hermosos juguetes de temas de policíacos. En el otro lado del
parque se encuentra un monumento de tamaño natural dedicado a los
oficiales de policía de Union City que fallecieron en el cumplimiento del
deber. Réplicas de placas de bronce de cada oficial se encuentran en
exhibición. No te pierdas de visitar este parque! La belleza y el honor de
este parque se puede sentir cuando se visita el mismo.
Santuario de Union City High School
Se trata de un espacio tranquilo y hermoso para los estudiantes de
Union City High School y residentes del área. El espacio cuenta con una
variedad de plantas naturales, una cascada, sitio para sentarse, relajarse
y disfrutar. Es un espacio sereno y un buen complemento en una calle
tan frecuentada tan como es Kennedy Boulevard.
Mejora de nuestras calles y aceras
Recientemente hemos completado el trabajo en las calles especificadas a continuación con pavimentación, aceras nuevas,
cientos de árboles nuevos y luces decorativas. Vamos a completar tantas calles como sea posible en un período de tiempo
determinado, dependiendo de los fondos que podamos conseguir. Si tienes la oportunidad, por favor, mire alrededor de su
vecindario a las calles que recientemente han sido embellecidas.
