Oral History Project
Share your story, participate in filmmaking
workshops, and see movies as LACMA brings the
Monterey Park Art+Film Lab to East Los Angeles
College. Free and open to the public select Fridays,
Saturdays, and Sundays, the Art+Film Lab is an
interactive art space that comes alive through
your involvement.
Presented by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
in collaboration with East Los Angeles College (ELAC) and the
East Los Angeles Foundation Board
Workshops
Contribute to a bank of stories about
your community by sharing a personal
anecdote on camera. Or, interview
a friend or family member. Bring a
thumb drive to take home a copy of
your recording and video portrait.
Experiment with a variety of low- and
high-tech tools and materials to explore
and create moving images. All equipment and tools are provided. Capacity
is limited; adult participation is
encouraged. All levels welcomed.

on Sunday, April 6, 2014, to LACMA! Check out familyfriendly art activities, explore the museum, and watch
the premiere of a new video artwork featuring Monterey
Park–area community members.
Film Screenings
Watch an exciting selection of films—
shorts, independents, and international
films—that are sure to capture your
imagination. All screenings take place
in the recital hall of the Performing
and Fine Arts Center.

Proyecto de historia oral
Comparta su historia, participe en los talleres de
cinematografía y vea las películas del Laboratorio
de Arte+Cine que LACMA trae al Colegio del Este
de Los Ángeles. La entrada es gratuita y está abierta
a todos los viernes, sábados y domingos. El Laboratorio
de Arte+Cine es un espacio interactivo de arte que se
hace vivo con su participación.
Presentado por el Museo de Arte del Condado de Los Ángeles (LACMA)
en colaboración con el Colegio del Este de Los Ángeles y la Mesa Directiva
de la Fundación del Este de Los Ángeles.
Talleres
Contribuya a un banco de historias acerca
de su comunidad compartiendo alguna
anécdota personal frente a la cámara.
O entrevistando a un amigo o un
pariente. Traiga consigo un thumb drive
para llevarse a casa una copia de su
grabación y un video retrato.
Experimente con herramientas de
tecnología baja y alta y otros materiales
para explorar y crear imágenes en
movimiento. Se proporcionan todo el
equipo y las herramientas. La capacidad
es limitada, pero se invita a los

Día gratis en LACMA
