Page 10 TOMADO DE NOSOTROS: St. Athanasius Church LA PALABRA March 6, 2016 ENTRE SE ACERCA LA SEMANA SANTA ., ESTAS PREPARADO? Cada año acostumbramos por epoca de cuaresma como tradición hacer lo que se llama vigilia durante todos los Viernes de Cuaresma y durante los dias Santos del Triduo Pascual;pero en realidad esa vigilia ejerze en ti algun cambio o algo en tu vida ha mejorado a partir de esta vigilia ? En la conocida parabóla del hijo prodigo , el hermano mayor siempre fue libre , pero actuaba como si fuera libre , pero actuaba como si fuera asalariado de su padre. Es cierto que no se fue lejos con parte del dinero de la familia, como su hermano menor, pero su falta de entendimiento le costó caro. Lleno de envidia y rencor le sacó en cara a su padre que nunca había podído dar una fiesta para sus amigos, pero sin darse cuenta de que su padre jamás le había negado El fin de semana pasado miraba en una pagina nada. Si se lo hubiera pedido , habría tenido todo lo Católica en el internet que decía la mejor vigilia que quisiera perder la oportunidad de amar y recibir es dejar de comer lo que nos hace daño , pero amor. A cuántos de nosotros nos sucede algo parecido? Dios nos ha dicho “todo lo que tengo es tuyo” , pero no le creemos y tratamos de ser mejores para merecer el favor de Dios. Nos portamos como asalariados, no hijos ni herederos de Dios. Y por tener un concepto tan mezquino de nuestra propia vida, no llegamos a experimentar el amor inefable de nuestro padre celestial. Qué bueo sería darse cuenta de lo extremadamente generoso que es nuestro Señor. A veces uno piensa que a Dios solamente le interesan los hijos pródigos, que toda su misericordia y milagros se los tiene reservado a ellos. Y se olvida de los que han procurado ser fieles toda la vida. Esto es absolutamente falso ! El padre te ama de la misma manera a los que son “hijos mayores” Dios nos tiene reservada a todos una herencia eterna que viene con promesas y bendiciones que podemos empezar a aprovechar desde ahora mismo, en esta vida. Ya es hora de dejar de pensar en nuestra salvación depende de lo que hagamos con un sentido de deber o por temor , y entender que Dios nos ama sin reservas y que nunca dejará de hacerlo; lo que a nosotros nos toca hacer es reconocer ese amor y alabar a Dios y compartir ese amor con los demás. luego continuaba diciendo no comida regular sino dejar de hablar mal del projimo , dejar de criticar , dejar de quejarnos de nuestra propia vida, procurar hacer el bien y dedicarnos mas a hacer las obras de Misericordia para ayudar al projimo. Jesús nos invita en esta Cuaresma para que nos preparemos de la mejor manera para celebrar junto con el estos dias Santos donde llegaremos a la gloria de la Resurrección y junto con Maria Madre de Dios y Madre Nuestra recibiremos el perdon y la Misericordia infinita en este año jubilar. The Society is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the love of God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily life. We are involved in all Parish activities, liturgical and social – and keep informed about civic community activities. Spiritual activities include an Annual Retreat, Annual Communion Breakfast and Baby Shower for Unwed Mothers. The Society raises money to help our Church continue outreach efforts. The form is available in the rectory or can be downloaded from our website. We even have an E-form so you complete this form without writing. Just e-mail it back to us, or print it out and drop it off. All Requests must be made using our form. E-mail completed form to AnnaMarie Scuteri at [email protected]. This is the ONLY way to reserve a room here at St. A's. The group listed on the parish calendar is the group that has the right to use that space. If you are not a designated ministry of our parish, permission must be granted from our Pastor, Msgr. Cassato, a rental fee is paid, and a lease agreement completed in order to use space. Sunday Bulletin Deadlines The Sunday Bulletin must be e-mailed to our printer by 10a.m. Monday. All announcements must be submitted in WRITTEN form only (handwritten, typed, computer, fax, e-mailed, etc) by 3p.m. Friday. Announcements received after the deadline will be published the following week. No one on the parish staff will assume the responsibility for your ministry’s articles. Include your bulletin articles in your advance planning for your event. All Flyers need to be approved by a staff member and submitted by Email only to [email protected].
