Sr. D. Javier Alonso Gil
President, WIRESA

WIRESA was founded in 1934 and gives technical and commercial support to various international
companies including Rockwell Collins, Schottel and Kongsberg. It operates in the aeronautical, electronic,
communications and naval industries.
Sr. D. Javier Alonso Gil started his career in the Marketing Department of Burroughs S.A. (now UNISYS).
After 6 years there he joined H & O Wilmer, SA as Manager of their Aeronautical Department. In WIRESA
he has worked in several projects (MBB, Bell Helicopter Textron, Raytheon, Kongsberg and Diehl BGT
Defence) with the Spanish Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior. He became President of WIRESA in
August 2015. He holds a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of
Madrid.
