To vote for a candidate for Chief Justice of California; Associate Justice of the

Appeal, TOUCH THE BOX to the left of the word "Yes". To vote against that candidate,

screen to the left of the candidate’s name. A large red box with a white "X" will appear
designating your selection. Where two or more candidates are to be elected, TOUCH
THE BOX to the left of the names of all candidates for the office for whom you desire
to vote.
To vote for a qualified WRITE-IN candidate, select "Write-In" and a keyboard will
appear on the screen. Type in the name of the qualified write-in candidate and then
select “Record Write-In." The normal voting screen will return and the name you
entered will appear as the choice for that particular race.
To vote on any measure, TOUCH THE BOX to the left of the word “Yes” or the word
“No”.
To change or cancel any of your selections, touch the box again and make another
selection.
VERIFYING AND CASTING YOUR BALLOT
On the Summary Page, review your choices. Items in red are races that were left fully blank or
not fully voted. If you want to vote for a race that was left blank or not fully voted, or change
your vote for any race, just touch that race on the screen and you will be taken back to the
proper page to make or change your selection.
To verify your selections, touch "Print Ballot" and you will see an enclosed printed copy of your
choices to the right of your machine. After reviewing your ballot printout, you can either cast or
reject your ballot. After your ballot is cast, the verified printout feeds into a secured canister.

Measure C was placed on the ballot by the governing board of the Mojave Unified
School District (“District”). A “Yes” vote by at least fifty-five percent (55%) of the
voters voting on this measure will authorize the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds for the benefit of the Mojave Unified School District Schools Facilities Improvement District No. 1 in an amount up to eight million one hundred
thousand dollars ($8,100,000).

purpose including teacher and administrator salaries and other operating expenses. As required by law, the District has listed the specific projects to be
funded, in whole or in part, by the bonds. The list of projects is printed in the
sample ballot.

The District will conduct an annual independent performance audit, in order to ensure that the bond proceeds have been expended only on the specific projects
listed, and an annual independent financial audit of the bond proceeds until all of
those funds have been expended. In addition, the District’s Board of Trustees will
appoint a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to inform the public concerning the
expenditure of bond revenues.
The bonded debt will be a general obligation of the District and will be financed by
property taxes levied annually on taxable property located within the District in an
amount necessary to pay the annual debt obligation. Approval of the bond measure does not guarantee that the listed projects will be completed. Certain of the
District’s proposed projects assume the receipt of matching State funds, which
could be subject to appropriation by the State Legislature or approval of a statewide bond measure. The District’s Tax Rate Statement provides an estimate of
the tax rates which will be applied to fund the bonds issued.

An election will be held in the Mojave Unified School District School Facilities Improvement District No. 1 (the “District”) on November 4, 2014 to authorize the sale
of up to $8,100,000 in bonds of the District to finance school facilities as described
in the Measure. Principal and interest on the bonds will be payable from the proceeds of tax levies made upon the taxable property in the District. The following
information is provided in compliance with Sections 9400-9404 of the Elections
Code of the State of California.

1. The best estimate of the tax which would be required to be levied to fund this
bond issue during the first fiscal year after the sale of the first series of bonds,
based on estimated assessed valuations available at the time of filing of this statement, is 2.200 cents per $100 ($22.00 per $100,000) of assessed valuation in
fiscal year 2014-15.
2. The best estimate of the tax which would be required to be levied to fund this
bond issue during the first fiscal year after the sale of the last series of bonds,
based on estimated assessed valuations available at the time of filing of this statement, is 2.200 cents per $100 ($22.00 per $100,000) of assessed valuation in
fiscal year 2018-19.
3. The best estimate of the highest tax rate which would be required to be levied to
fund this bond issue, based on estimated assessed valuations available at the
time of filing of this statement, is 2.200 cents per $100 ($22.00 per $100,000),
which rate is expected to be levied in each year while the bonds are outstanding.
Voters should note that the estimated tax rates are based on the ASSESSED
VALUE of taxable property on the County’s official tax rolls, not on the property’s
market value. Property owners should consult their own property tax bills to determine their property’s assessed value and any applicable tax exemptions.
Attention of all voters is directed to the fact that the foregoing information is based
upon the District’s projections and estimates only, which are not binding upon the
District. The actual tax rates and the years in which they will apply may vary from
those presently estimated, due to variations from these estimates in the timing of
bond sales, the amount of bonds sold and market interest rates at the time of each
sale, and actual assessed valuations over the term of repayment of the bonds.
The dates of sale and the amount of bonds sold at any given time will be determined by the District based on the need for construction funds and other factors.
The actual interest rates at which the bonds will be sold will depend on the bond
market at the time of each sale. Actual future assessed valuation will depend
upon the amount and value of taxable property within the District as determined by
the County Assessor in the annual assessment and the equalization process.

to meet its urgent needs and to accomplish long-term goals while lowering the burden on taxpayer’s.

million in unsold bonds which were approved by voters in 2008 – if Measure “C” is
