Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Graders,
Congratulations!!! Your student is nearing the end of their final trimester at Graham Middle School. This is the perfect
time to update you on all of the graduation activities and the expectations we have for all of our 8th grade students.
There are many exciting events to look forward to (I Belong). These events signify the celebration and privileges
earned by completing all requirements for promotion (Take Pride).
The activities that make up the 8th grade graduation experiences are:

Saturday, May 21, 7:00 -10:00 pm
Tuesday, May 31, 8:45 am – 2:30 pm
Wednesday, June 1, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday, June 2, 10:00 am
Friday, June 3, 3:00 pm
It is our goal to have every 8th grader participate in all of the activities that are traditions for 8th grade graduates. To
qualify and participate in these events, we expect all students to remain focused on learning (Pursue Knowledge) and
maintain positive behaviors (Do No Harm).
The following four things will disqualify students from participating in one or more of the end of the year events:
Below a 2.0 cumulative GPA
Below a 2.0 for Trimester 3
Three office referrals
Suspension
The 8th grade graduation is an important milestone in your student’s educational career. It is a time for them to reflect
on their experiences at Graham Middle School, as well as look towards their future in high school. We are looking
forward to helping all students achieve this milestone and participate in the well-earned celebration.
Enclosed you will find the forms needed to be filled-out and returned to the Graham office. As we move closer to this
exciting time of year you will receive further details on these events in the Bear Tracks.
We will sell graduation gowns for $25.00 in the office on May 25th, 26th, 27th at break time and after school. Gowns will be
cash only. Students will receive graduation gowns as they turn in cash. Please contact the office if you need financial
assistance.

Queridos padres/tutores de 8vo grado,
Felicitaciones!!! Su alumno ha entrado ya en su último trimestre en Graham Middle School. Este es el momento perfecto
de actualizar todas las actividades de la graduación y las expectativas que tenemos para todos nuestros estudiantes del
8vo grado. Hay muchos eventos emocionantes que esperamos con impaciencia (Yo Pertenezco). Estos hechos significan
la celebración y privilegios ganados por completar todos los requisitos de promoción (Enorgullecerse).

Nuestro objetivo es hacer que cada estudiante del 8vo grado participe en todas las actividades que son tradiciones del
8vo grado. Para calificar y participar en estos eventos, esperamos que todos los estudiantes permanezcan centrados en el
aprendizaje (Aplicar Conocimientos) y mantener comportamientos positivos (No Hacer Daño).
Las siguientes cuatro cosas descalificará a los estudiantes de participar en uno o más de los eventos de fin del año:
Debajo de 2.0 GPA acumulativos
Debajo de 2.0 durante Trimestre 3
Tres remisiones de oficina
Suspensión
La graduación del 8vo grado es un hito importante en la carrera educativa del alumno. Este es el momento de reflexionar
acerca de sus experiencias en Graham Middle School, así como, mirar hacia su futuro en la escuela preparatoria. Estamos
buscando ayudar a todos los estudiantes a alcanzar este hito y participar en la merecida celebración.
Adjunto encontrará los formularios necesarios para ser completados y regresar a la oficina de Graham. Al acercarnos a
este momento emocionante del año recibirá más detalles sobre estos acontecimientos en la Pistas de Oso.
Venderemos las batas de graduación por $25.00 en la oficina el 25, 26, y 27 de mayo en el recreo y después de la escuela. Las
batas solo serán en efectivo. Los estudiantes recibirán las batas de graduación cuando entreguen el efectivo. Póngase en
contacto con la oficina si usted necesita ayuda financiera.
