In Our Parish / En Nuestra Parroquia World Mission Sunday This weekend a special collection is taken up in all parishes across Arkansas. By baptism, all Catholics are called to participate in the mission of the Church. This means they are called to share their faith as missionaries. The World Mission Sunday Collection gathers funds to be distributed in the pope’s name to support the pastoral and evangelization programs and needs of more than 1,150 mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands and remote regions of Latin America. A Diocese-wide Holy Family Icon Mass and prayer service will be at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Saturday October 29th, Rosary at 10:30 with Mass at 11:00 a.m. All Souls Day Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Anthony Taylor at Calvary Cemetery on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 9:30 am. The Mass is followed by a procession through the cemetery and praying the rosary. In case of rain the Mass will be at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew at 10 am.
