GREAT DAY TO BE A WARRIOR!
En mi nuevo trabajo, es la misma escuela, los mismos maestros, y estudiantes, pero nuevas responsabilidades.
Hemos tenido un buen principio este año escolar. Los atletas, los entrenadores, y los estudiantes están trabajando
para aprender la nueva información y destrezas. Éstas son expectativas importantes por el año:
Debe ser confiable. Necesita llegar a punto cada día y estar listo para aprender.
Necesita demostrar respeto. Tiene que escuchar y después seguir instrucciones.
Necesita ser seguro.
Necesita hacer su trabajo
Debe hacer su mejor trabajo cada día.
Debe ayudar a otros y necesita ser un buen líder.
Si no entiende algo, necesita hacer preguntas.
Si hacemos estas cosas, tendremos un buen año escolar. Soy orgulloso ser un "Warrior" y espero que los maestros y
los estudiantes también sean orgullosos ser una parte de nuestra escuela.

Rotary Students for AUGUST

STUDENT COUNCIL BEGINS 16-17 WITH EXCITEMENT
El Comité de estudiantes ayudarón a los estudiantes en el grado 9 aprende de los
iPads. También organizaron el baile en agosto para SCHS y SMS. Ayudaron
con las entrevistas para los estudiantes en el grado 9 que quieren ser un miembro
del Comité de Estudiantes.

What is a TeamMates Mentor?
Un Team Mates Mentor es una persona que
proporciona la ayuda y la amistad a una
persona joven. Es también un ejemplo y
ayuda a un estudiante. Este programa se
basa en la escuela y está disponible en SCS.

OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE AWARD
Nomination Form
The Schuyler Area Outstanding employee award is designed to recognize the efforts of all staff members and to honor those
employees who have made significant contributions to Schuyler Community Schools. The program includes any district
employee that is not an administrator. (food service, transportation, custodial/maintenance, office assistant, technology, paraeducator, teacher, counselor etc…).
This year the Chamber and School Foundation will recognize one member from each employee group each quarter (Support
Staff, Para-Educator, Teacher). We encourage everyone to take the time to nominate a special employee who is deserving of
being recognized and rewarded for their hard work. Once nominated, the employee remains in the pool for the current school
year.
The Outstanding support staff member, teacher, and para-educator will each be presented an award for each quarter. Schuyler
Chamber of Commerce & Schuyler Community Schools Foundation will select one winner from each quarter and present a
plaque and $250 in Chamber Bucks to the winner of each category. Anyone (students, parents, fellow teachers, administrators,
school board, etc.) is welcome to nominate a deserving employee for this award. The nominee should be someone that you feel
has made an outstanding contribution to our school district. Please complete the information below and on the back of this
form or compose a separate letter of recommendation. The letter of recommendation should include the nominee’s impact on
students, colleagues, and/or parents along with extra curricular and community activities. The letter must include the job
assignment and why you feel they are deserving of this award.

“I believe in the future of agriculture…”
Bienvenidos a los estudiantes y a los miembros de FFA. Soy Sr. Peters,
el nuevo maestro de la educación agrícola y el nuevo patrocinador de FFA.
Hemos tenido un buen verano. Los miembros de Schuyler FFA tenían éxito en
el Colfax County Fair. Caleb Novak, Jabob Sobota y Kendra Marxsen
recibieron honores.
Las clases son buenas y estoy feliz para trabajar con los miembros de
FFA. Todas las clases aprendieron de Wrold Population Calculator que cuenta
todas los nacimientos y muertos en el mundo. Sorprendieron a los estudiantes
cómo la población del mundo está creciendo rápidamente. En el año 2020, la
población del mundo será casi 8 mil millones. La gente en la industria de la
agricultura necesitará producir el alimento y proporcionar los materiales para la
ropa para toda esa gente. Necesitamos aprender ser más eficientes, producir
más comidas con menos espacio.
