Hello all!
It is with great excitement that I endeavor in the next several bulletin articles to
write for you regarding Pope Francis most recent document called Amoris Laetitiae
or The Joy of Love. I feel it first important to explain what role this type of
document has within our Churches teachings. It has been categorized as an
exhortation which is a document intended for the world to read but is not
considered to be a teaching document or one which establishes new norms for the
Church. Unlike a Papal Encyclical which is intended to advance the doctrine and
teachings of the Church, the aim of an exhortation is rather to expand the
understanding of what the Church already professes.
This document, as it seems all of Pope Francis' publications seem to do, has caused
a stir amidst many who desire to find their own opinions in the Pope's words rather
than be receptive to what is present. I invite all of you to meander and peruse what
our Holy Father has written to us regarding the reality of the family. These articles I
hope will serve as "teasers" and a catalyst for your own readings of this work done
by our Holy Father and the Bishops of our global Church.
The exhortation is broken up into nine chapters. It is the culmination and
summation of the work done through the world meeting of families which
occurred the end of last year in Philadelphia and the world synod of families which
occurred shortly thereafter in Rome.
Every document from Rome is named after the first two to three words of the text.
These words provide the theme for the document as a whole. What the Holy
Father accomplishes in this exhortation is a Theology of Family. Rather than treat
family as an obstacle to living out the Christian life or a distraction, he seeks to
remind us of its inherent greatness as a reflection of who God is within Himself:
"The ability of human couples to beget life is the path along which the history of
salvation progresses. Seen this way, the couple’s fruitful relationship becomes an
image for understanding and describing the mystery of God himself, for in the
Christian vision of the Trinity, God is contemplated as Father, Son and Spirit of
love. The triune God is a communion of love, and the family is its living reflection.
Saint John Paul II shed light on this when he said, “Our God in his
deep- est mystery is not solitude, but a family, for he has within himself fatherhood,
sonship and the essence of the family, which is love. That love, in the divine family,
is the Holy Spirit' (Paragraph 11)."
As we will continue to chew through this exhortation over the next several weeks, I
invite you to consecrate your own family to the Holy Family. If your family has
already advanced to the co-creating with God for their own family, offer prayers
that they may better imitate that perfect model of love.

DeGroot, New York Yankees Player Development:
There are a few minor league baseball players
(mostly members of the Tampa Yankees) who are
in need of housing in the Tampa Bay area. They
are having trouble affording housing here in
Tampa because they are sending the majority of
their monthly earnings home to their families in
Latin America. They will potentially be here
through the end of the 2016 season (ending in
September). If a family is willing and able to take
in one of our players, they will be granted free
admission to Tampa Yankee home games and will
get to make a huge impact in these players' lives.
We also feel that if one of your families does
decide to take in one of our players, he could be a
huge influence and role model for their kids (if
you have any). If you have anybody interested in

¡Hola a todos!
Es con gran emoción que me esfuerzare en los próximos varios artículos que voy a
escribir y compartir con ustedes en relación con el documento más reciente del Papa
Francisco llamado Amoris Laetitiae o La Alegría del Amor. Creo que primero es
importante explicar la carta y sus componentes, este tipo de documento tiene
adentro nuestras enseñanzas de la Iglesia. Se ha clasificado como una exhortación,
que quiere decir que es un documento destinado para el mundo a leer pero no se
considera que es un documento de enseñanza o uno que establece nuevas normas
para la Iglesia. La diferencia de una encíclica papal que está destinada a avanzar en
la doctrina y las enseñanzas de la Iglesia, el objetivo de una exhortación es más bien
para ampliar la comprensión de lo que en la Iglesia ya se profesa.
En este documento, como siempre parece hacer en todas las publicaciones del Papa
Francisco, ha causado un gran revuelo en medio de muchos que desean encontrar sus
propias opiniones en las palabras del Papa en lugar de ser receptivos a lo que está
presente. Invito a todos ustedes a leer lo que nuestro Santo Padre nos ha escrito con
respecto a la realidad de la familia. Estos artículos espero que nos sirvan como
"rompecabezas" y un catalizador para sus propias lecturas de este trabajo realizado
por nuestro Santo Padre y los obispos de la Iglesia mundial.
La exhortación se divide en nueve capítulos. Es la culminación y la suma del trabajo
realizado a través del encuentro mundial de las familias que se produjeron a finales
del año pasado en Filadelfia y el Sínodo Mundial de las Familias que se produjeron
poco después en Roma.
Todos los documentos de Roma se nombran después de los primeros dos a tres
palabras del texto. Estas palabras proporcionan el tema para el documento en su
conjunto. Lo que el Santo Padre cumple en esta exhortación es una teología de la
familia. En lugar de tratar a la familia como un obstáculo para vivir la vida cristiana
o una distracción, él busca para recordarnos de su grandeza inherente como un
reflejo de lo que Dios está dentro de sí mismo: "La capacidad de las parejas humanas
para engendrar la vida es el camino por el que la historia de la salvación progresa.
Visto así, fructífera relación de la pareja se convierte en una imagen para
comprender y describir el misterio de Dios mismo, porque en la visión cristiana de la
Trinidad, Dios se contempla como Padre, Hijo y Espíritu de amor. El trino Dios es una
comunión de amor, y la familia es su reflejo vivo. El Papa San Juan Pablo II arrojo luz
sobre esto cuando dijo, "Nuestro Dios en su más profundas misterio no es soledad,
sino una familia, porque él tiene dentro de sí la paternidad, la filiación y la esencia de
la familia, que es el amor. Que el amor, en la familia divina, es el Espíritu Santo
"(párrafo 11)".
Como vamos a seguir compartiendo y para masticar a través de esta exhortación
durante las próximas semanas, les invito a consagrar su propia familia a la Sagrada
Familia. Si su familia ya ha avanzado a la co-creación con Dios por sus propios
familiares, ofrecen oraciones que mejor pueden imitar ese modelo perfecto del amor.

al día siguiente se festejo al Inmaculado Corazón de María, cercanos a estas dos
festividades, ofrecemos una oración de consagración de la familia a los Santísimos
Corazones.
Oración de Consagración
Santísimos corazones de Jesús y María,
unidos en el amor perfecto, como nos miráis con misericordia y cariño,
consagramos nuestros corazones, nuestras vidas, y nuestras familias a Vosotros.
Conocemos que el ejemplo bello de Vuestro hogar en Nazaret fue un modelo
para cada una de nuestras familias. Esperamos obtener, con Vuestra ayuda,
la unión y el amor fuerte y perdurable que os disteis.
Que nuestro hogar sea lleno de gozo. Que el afecto sincero, la paciencia, la tolerancia,
y el respeto mutuo sean dados libremente a todos. Que nuestras oraciones
incluyan las necesidades de los otros, no solamente las nuestras. Y que siempre estemos
cerca de los sacramentos.
Bendecid a todos los presentes y también a los ausentes, tantos los difuntos como los
vivientes;
que la paz esté con nosotros, y cuando seamos probados,
conceded la resignación Cristiana a la voluntad de Dios.
Mantened nuestras familias cerca de Vuestros Corazones; que Vuestra protección
especial esté siempre con nosotros. Sagrados Corazones de Jesús y María, escuchad
nuestra oración.

Dios todopoderoso y eterno, Pastor que guías a tu pueblo. Te damos
gracias por habernos concedido a monseñor Lynch como obispo nuestro
durante los últimos veinte años. Confiados en tu amor durante este tiempo de
transición, creemos que, una vez más, darás a la Diócesis de St. Petersburg un
pastor que nos inspire a ser el corazón misericordioso de Cristo, su voz de

Especialmente a nuestros feligreses que se
han graduado en estos ultimos dias de
nuestras muchas escuelas secundarias de la
área. La graduación es un logro importante
en la vida de nuestros jóvenes. Nos gustaría
ofrecerles las siguientes reflexiones:
Todos somos capaces de logro y éxito, pero
me gustaría recordarles que Jesucristo te
