I have been edified by the commitment of so many to the Lenten Longings weekly gatherings and to the enthusiastic involvement of our youth in their Lenten retreat, as well as the steady attendance of so many at weekly Stations of the Cross. Lent was a time well spent in preparation for the celebration of the great Paschal Mystery. 10:00 a.m.: Archie B. Meyer Sr. Birthday + (req. Bernese Meyer) MONDAY, THURSDAY and FRIDAY 7:30 a.m. : Living and Deceased Passionist Benefactors TUESDAY, 7:30a.m.: Tom Shea 84th Birthday (req. Katheanne Shea) WEDNESDAY, 7:30 a.m. and SATURDAY, 9:00 a.m.: Communion Service SATURDAY,4:30pm: Maria Teresa Briz, her soul+ (req. Marilyn Dos Santos) I want to thank all who shared in any way in preparing for and carrying out our beautiful Holy Week observances— from Palm Sunday right through to Easter itself. I realize that the bilingual celebration of the liturgies of the Sacred Triduum can be challenging for some Spanish as well as English speaking members, but, overall, those services were strikingly beautiful and deeply devout. Our joint participation was a small but meaningful reflection of the Church Christ established. The blending of musical traditions with the ancient Holy Week hymns added to the richness of our celebrations. I found the veneration of the Cross on Good Friday a most moving experience—one I look forward to each year as pastor, to hold the Cross as each person venerates it. The sight of little children kissing the feet of the Crucified is one of the most blessed experiences a priest could ever have. P. Alberto, C.P.
