Remove contents from box. Verify that all parts listed are present and free from damage. Read installation instructions carefully before attempting installation. This product requires the removal of the factory tow hook assemblies (if equipped) and the lower bumper grille cover. Locate the two main bumper brackets that attach to the front of the vehicle frame. Starting at the driver side, remove the two 18MM hex bolts that secure the bumper to the frame. The metal tab above the inside bumper stud must be flattened with a hammer. Due to the shape, the tab will not be completely flat. Only the drive side must be modified. ( fig 3) Attach one lower frame mount (ITEM 16) to the bumper studs. Secure only the outside stud with a factory 18MM hex nut. Leave the inside stud unsecured for a future part attachment. ( fig 4) Repeat steps 3 & 4 for the passenger side. Slide the driver side lower mounting bracket (ITEM 3) through the bumper opening so that the lower mounting bracket cradles the previously installed lower frame mount. Remove the bumper plastic valance and place the lower drivers side grille guard bracket ( ITEM 11) on the outside of the previously placed brackets( NOTE: THE PLASTIC VALANCE MUST BE REMOVED OR TRIMMED TO FIT THE LOWER GRILLE GUARD MOUNTING BRACKETS). Secure the two upright flanges and the lower grille guard mounting bracket with four M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 22), eight M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), four M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and four M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23). Do not fully tighten at this time. ( fig 5, 6, and 7) Repeat step 6 for the passenger side lower mounting bracket ( ITEM 4) and passenger lower grille guard mounting bracket (ITEM 12) . Insert the driver side M12 drilled & tapped plate (ITEM 30) through the top opening of the driver side tow hook tower. Make sure the holes on the plate align with the holes on the inside of the tower. (fig 8, and 9) Attach the driver side upper frame mount (ITEM 9) to the inside of the driver frame rail. Align the lower hole on the most forward flange onto the lower inside bumper stud. Secure with the Factory 18MM hex nut. Secure only the top rear slot in the upper frame mount to the installed M12 drilled & tapped plate with one M12 x 25mm hex bolts (ITEM 26), two M12 flat washers (ITEM 28)(TWO STACKED PER BOLT), and one M12 lock washers (ITEM 29). The top hole at the most front flange is unused in most cases. If the vehicle front bumper has a top mounting stud, the bracket can be secured with such. Do not fully tighten at this time (fig 10) Repeat steps 8 & 9 to attach the passenger side upper frame mount (ITEM 9). (fig 11, and 12) Attach the driver side lower frame reinforcement bracket (ITEM 5) to the bottom of the tow hook tower and lower mounting bracket. Secure to the tow hook tower with one 7/16” x 2” hex bolt (ITEM 25), one M12 large O.D. flat washer (ITEM 27), and one M12 lock washer (ITEM 29). Secure to the lower mounting bracket with two M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 22), four M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), two M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and two M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23). Secure to the upper frame mount lower rear slot with one M12 x 25MM hex bolt (ITEM 26), two M12 flat washers (ITEM 28)(TWO STACKED PER BOLT), and one M12 lock washer (ITEM 29). Do not fully tighten at this time. ( fig 13, and 14) Repeat step 11 for the passenger side lower frame reinforcement bracket (ITEM 6). (fig 15) From below the vehicle, attach the cross bar assembly (ITEM 15) the attachment flanges on each upper frame mount. Secure with two M12 x 100MM hex bolts (ITEM 24), four M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), two M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and two M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23). Do not fully tighten at this time. ( fig 16, and 17) Insert each lower tray mounting bracket (ITEM 7, 8) from behind the bumper and through the bumper opening. Each bracket mount to the inside flange of the cross bar assembly. Secure to the cross bar with four M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 22), eight M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), four M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and four M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23) for each bracket. Do not fully tighten at this time.( fig 18, and 19) At this time attach the winch tray assembly (ITEM 1) to the mounting brackets. Secure the winch tray to the lower center brackets with four M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 22), eight M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), four M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and four M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23). Secure the bottom two slots on each side mounting bracket with two M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 22), four M12 flat washers (ITEM 28), two M12 lock washers (ITEM 29), and two M12 hex nuts (ITEM 23). Secure the side flanges and the upper grille guard mounting brackets to the side mounting brackets with six M12 x 40MM hex bolts (ITEM 17), twelve M12 flat washers (ITEM 21), six M12 lock washers (ITEM 20), and six M12 hex nuts (ITEM 18). (fig 20, 21, and 22) With help align the grille guard with the upper and lower grille guard mounting brackets, the upper grille guard mounting brackets go inside the uprights of the grille guard and attach with two M12 x 40MM hex head bolts (ITEM 17), two M12 lock washers ( ITEM 20), four M12 flat washers (ITEM 21), and two M12 hex nuts (ITEM 18). Do not fully tighten at this time. (fig 23, and 24) Attach the grille guard to the lower mounting brackets with six M12 x 40MM hex head bolts (ITEM 17), six M12 lock washers (ITEM 20), twelve M12 flat washers (ITEM 19), and 6 M12 hex nuts (ITEM 18). Do not fully tighten at this time. (fig 25) Install a winch to the tray to the manufacturers specific instructions Align all brackets and winch tray as desired and tighten all fasteners. Closely follow all Westin Installation Instructions for the proper installation of product. Improper installation can result in death, serious injury, and/or product and vehicle damage. In the operation of these products, it is imperative to observe precautions for your personal safety and the safety of others. WARNING Failure to follow these instructions could lead to death, personal injury, and / or property damage. FASTENERS: All Westin supplied fasteners must be utilized and installed in accordance with the installation instructions and apply torque to the specifications as defined. DOUBLE CHECK ALL FASTENERS BEFORE PRODUCT USE TO ENSURE PROPER FUNCTION AND SAFETY. DRILLING: Most Westin products do not require drilling for installation. If drilling is defined as required, use caution when drilling a vehicle. FAILURE TO REVIEW AN AREA TO BE DRILLED MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND OR INJURY TO OTHERS AS WELL AS VEHICLE DAMAGE.
