Dualities in high energy and condensed matter physics
Dualities in high energy and condensed matter physics Gonzalo Torroba Centro Atómico Bariloche, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina Duality is an emergent phenomenon where a quantum many-body system admits different classical limits. In this talk we will describe new dualities in two spatial dimensions, at the interface between high energy and condensed matter physics. We show how they follow from supersymmetry, and discuss applications to both fields of physics, including bosonization and quantum Hall systems.
