With Palm Sunday we begin the most sacred time of the year. The liturgies
during Holy Week put us in contact with Jesus’ saving work. We are invited
to ponder the meaning of his life, death, and resurrection in our own lives
and in the life of the world. This is the stuff of Christian prayer and
contemplation.
Con el Domingo de Ramos iniciamos el tiempo más sagrado del año. Las liturgias
durante la Semana Santa nos ponen en contacto con las obras salvadores de
Jesús. Nos invitan a reflexionar sobre el significado de su vida, muerte y
resurrección en nuestra propia vida y en la vida del mundo. Esto es lo que hace la
oración y contemplación cristiana.
As we move through Holy Week and into the Easter season, things will
begin to pick up at the parish. Fast approaching are several key events for
our parish family. Please be sure to mark these dates on your
calendars! 1.) The Spring Fest will be held in the school gym on Saturday,
April 25. 2.) BREAD’s Nehemiah Action will take place at the Ohio State
fairgrounds on Monday, May 4. 3). The Fiesta de Mayo will be at Our Lady
of Victory Church on Friday, May 8. More details will be made available in
future bulletins about these events. Please know that I will be asking for
your support in making them a success.

Ministers to bring Holy Communion to patients. This is a unique

Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence. Fasting is for all who
are 18 years old to 59 years old. A day of fasting means that one meal
should be greater than your two other meals combined. Abstinence is for
all who are more than 13 years old. No meat should be consumed on days
of abstinence.

Registration for Parish School of Religion (PSR) and the Rite of
Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) has begun. We ask that all first
through eighth graders of the parish who do not attend a Catholic school
participate in PSR. Adults who would like to receive Baptism, First
Communion, and/or Confirmation in the Church are encouraged to join the

All registration forms must be turned in by July 31. No registrations will be
accepted after July 31.

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will hold a Women's Silent
Retreat entitled “Marian Receptivity to God.” The retreat will be held at
St. Therese’s Retreat Center. It will begin on Friday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m.
and conclude on Sunday, April 26, at 12:00 p.m. The Retreat Director is
Father Walter Oxley, STD. The cost is $100 and pre-registration is
