2. GETTING STARTED
2.1 Power ON / OFF
Press and hold the
button for 3 seconds to power the CT2 ON/OFF
2.2 Charging
To charge the device, attach the USB clip as
depicted in the images to the left. Align the charger
guide posts with the
guide holes on the back
side of the CT2 unit to
clip in place. The battery
indicator will display while
charging as shown in the
image to the right. When
fully charged the battery
indicator will display as
a f u l l b a t t e r y. To d i s c o n n e c t t h e C T 2 , p i n c h
the charging clip and pull away from the unit.
2.3 Time Setting
The time will set automatically once the CT2 successfully connects to Satellite’s via GPS (please
note: you must be outdoors to connect to satellites); however, time zones and daylight savings will
need to be set accordingly. To set the clock manually (from the Time/Date screen), press and hold
the
button to bring up the time setting mode. Press the or
buttons to change the hour, then
press the
button 4 times to apply the changes.
*Note: The minutes are set automatically upon successful satellite connection and cannot
be manually adjusted.
French Date Format: In time setting mode, press the
button once to edit the Format. The default
Date Format is in English; the secondary option is French. When the blinking
/
icon appears,
navigate with the
/
buttons to select desired selection. Press the
button three times to apply
the changes and return to time mode.

once you arrive at the Tee Box screen C or D will be displayed. Once the distance(s) are showing
on your device you have the option to switch preferred screen by pressing and holding the bottom

The Auto Time Display is an automatic feature that displays the time and date
when the golfer is within 20 yards of the center of the green.

You can access the Dynamic Green View & Pin Placement Mode by
pressing the
button from the Play Golf Screen.

From the Dynamic Green View screen, you may also change the placement
of the pin on the green image by navigating with the

button to return to Play Golf Sreen.
*Note: If there are Left and Right Greens available on your fairway, you can quickly choose the green by

button for 2 seconds then press the
button to confirm your selection while
in Dynamic Green View & Pin Placement Mode.

2.4 Measuring Shot Distance
From Play Golf Mode, press and hold the button for 2 seconds to start
measuring your shot distance. The Shot Distance Mode will default back
to the Play Golf Screen and will measure distances in the background.
Once you have reached your ball, press the
button again to finish
measuring and view the shot distance.
*Note: The Shot Distance screen will default back to the Play Golf Screen
after 15 seconds.
2.5 Hazard Information
From the Play Golf Mode, press the
button to view the Hazard
information. When more than 3 hazards are available, press the button
to cycle through pages. Press the
button to return to Play Mode.
*Note: If Hazards are unavailable for any given hole, the hazards feature is
inactive. If the course hazard information is incorrect, please contact our

From the Play Golf Menu, scroll with the / buttons and select the

button to enter the Quick Selection for Prior Hole screen.
Scroll through and select the prior hole by navigating with the

button to confirm the selection.
Dynamic Green View
You can also access the Dynamic Green View/ Pin Placement Mode from
the Play Golf Menu by navigating to the
icon with the

buttons
and selecting with the
button.
*Note: Dynamic Green View will allow you to always get the Front/Center/Back
distances to the green from your angle of approach.
*Note: You can also select the Left or Right Green if available from this menu
selection.
4.3 Exit Game
From the Play Golf Mode, press and hold the
button for 2 seconds. Then Select the
icon with
the
button after scrolling to it with the
/
buttons. Select Yes or No by navigating with
the
/
buttons, then press the
button if you would like to end the round.

5. ADVANCED OPERATIONS
5.1 Recording Scores
From the Play Golf Mode, press and hold the
button for 2 seconds to
access and record scores. To record your scores, navigate to the desired
hole using the / buttons, then press the
button to select the hole.
You will then scroll to the score with the
/
buttons and confirm this
score with the
button. Press and hold the
button after recording
your Scores to return to Play Golf Mode.
*Note: When recording scores Par will be the default.
5.2 GPS Tracking
While in Time/Date Mode, press and hold the
button for 2 seconds
then scroll to the
icon with the
/
buttons and select with
the
button. Once the GPS signal has been found the device
will automatically start recording. You can pause the Tracking feature by
pressing the
button. Press and hold the
button for 2 seconds to
delete the record when device is paused. Press the
button to switch
between Yards / Meters. To Exit, press and hold the
button for 2
seconds and then scroll with the
/
buttons to YES and select by
pressing with the
button.
*Note: GPS tracking is activated automatically when the CT2 is in Play Golf
Mode (refer to Page 7).
5.3 Systems Information
While in Watch Mode, press the
button then scroll to the

buttons. Press the
button to select and view detailed
system information, including model number and serial number.
5.4 How to Reset the CT2

6. SOFTWARE UPDATES
Your GolfBuddy CT2 unit has been pre-loaded with the latest firmware and world-wide course maps
available at the time of manufacture, so it’s ready to play right out of the box. For optimum performance
and longer product life, we do recommend you register your unit and keep it updated with the latest
levels of firmware. You can also add the latest course maps and updates for free once you have
registered your unit. The instructions below will provide you with a step-by step guide on how to
register and update your GolfBuddy CT2.
1. Downloading the GolfBuddy Management Software (GB Manager) to your
computer:
• Please visit our website at www.golfbuddyglobal.com
• Click on the panel titled “Download GB Course Manager.” You will then see a screen with an option
to choose either Windows or Mac based software.
• Click on the correct version for your computer. Once downloaded, you can run the application to
install the GB Manager on your computer.
• Once completed, you will see a blue icon labeled "GolfBuddy World Course Manager" on your
desktop that you will use to access the GB Manager once you have registered.
2. Creating a User ID:
• Open the GB Manager application by clicking on the blue icon on your desktop.
• You will see a Login Panel . Click on “Sign up for new user” at the bottom. This will bring up a panel
for you to create your User ID and Password.
• Fill in all the details that are required ( indicated by " * " ). Please note the instructions regarding
no Caps, Symbols, Spaces, & 4-15 character-long requirement. You will need to click the “Check
Availability” to verify your selected User ID is valid and not already being used.
• Click “Submit” at the bottom of the form when finished.
• You have now created your User ID and Password...Make sure you write them down somewhere in case
you forget them!

3. Registering your GolfBuddy CT2:
• Connect your GolfBuddy unit to a USB port on your computer using the USB cable provided with
the unit.
• After a short time, your GolfBuddy unit should show an icon on the screen indicating it is connected
to the computer.
Notes: You can disregard any driver download requests that your computer may say is required.
• Click on the blue GB icon on your desktop and open the Login Panel.
• Enter your User ID and
Password. You should
now see a panel that
indicates the GB Manager
is searching for the device.
After a short time, you
will
see
“Connection
Established”. At this stage,
your unit is successfully
registered to the account
that you created and you
will not be able to register
your unit under a different
account.
4. Updating your GolfBuddy CT2 in three Steps
Step #1
Once
you
get
the
“Connection Established”
message, please click
“Next” to proceed to Step
#2. Firmware Update.

Step #2 :
Firmware Update
At step 2, click “Next” to install
the latest firmware. If the firmware
is already up to date, click “Next”
to proceed to step 3.
Step #3 : Course
Download
Select the countries that you
would like to update and click
“Next”. You will see a panel
that asks you to “Overwrite” or
“Newly Updated Only”(default
option - already selected). Click
“OK” to start the course update.
Once all the courses have been
downloaded you will receive a
message “Update Complete”.
You can now disconnect the
unit. Your GolfBuddy is now
ready to go with the latest
updates!

2. PREMIERS PAS
2.1 Interrupteur marche / arrêt
Appuyez et maintenez le bouton (
allumer / éteindre le CT2.
) pendant 3 secondes pour
2.2 Chargement
Pour charger l'appareil, fixer le clip USB comme
illustré dans les images à gauche. Alignez les ergots de
guidage du chargeur avec les
trous de guidage à l'arrière
de l'appareil CT2 et clipser
en place. L'indicateur de
batterie s'affiche pendant le
chargement, comme indiqué
dans l'image à droite. Une
fois complètement rechargé,
l'indicateur de batterie
affiche une batterie pleine.
Pour déconnecter la CT2, pincer le clip de chargement
et tirer pour le séparer de l'unité.
2.3 Réglage de l'heure
L'heure sera réglée automatiquement dès que le CT2 se connecte aux satellites par GPS (note : vous
devez être à l'extérieur pour que la connexion réussisse); toutefois, le fuseau horaire et l'heure d'été
devront être réglés séparément. Pour régler l'horloge manuellement (depuis l'écran Date/Heure),
maintenez appuyé le bouton (
) afin d'activer le mode de réglage de l'heure. Appuyez sur les
boutons ( 3 ) ou (
) pour régler l'heure, puis pressez le bouton ( 2 ) 4 fois de suite pour confirmer
les changements.
*Note: Les minutes se règlent automatiquement une fois la connexion au satellite réussie, et
ne peuvent être ajustées manuellement.
Format date français : dans le mode réglage de l'heure, appuyez sur le bouton ( 2 ) une fois pour
changer le format. Le format par défaut est anglais ; l'option secondaire est le français. Lorsque
l'icône se met à clignoter, utilisez les boutons ( 3 ) et (
) pour sélectionner l'option désirée.
Appuyez sur le bouton ( 2 ) trois fois pour appliquer les changements et retourner au mode horloge.

Format horaire 12/24 heures : une fois entré en mode réglage de l'heure, appuyez deux fois sur le
bouton ( 2 ) pour changer le format 12/24 heures. Lorsque l'icône
clignote, utilisez les boutons
( 3 ) et ( ) pour sélectionner la fonction désirée. Appuyez deux fois sur le bouton ( 2 ) pour confirmer
les changements et retourner au mode horloge.

l'heure d'été (DST). Lorsque l'icône

*Note : L'horaire de lever et coucher du soleil est disponible uniquement en
format 24 heures.
Chronomètre
Depuis l'écran Date/Heure, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton ( 3 ) pour
utiliser la fonction chronomètre. Appuyez sur le bouton ( 2 ) pour
démarrer/arrêter le chronomètre, et appuyez sur le bouton (
) pour
remettre le record à zéro. Pour sortir de cette fonction et retourner au

2.4 Mesure de la distance du coup
Depuis le mode jouer au golf, appuyez et maintenez le bouton ( 3 )
pendant 2 secondes pour commencer à mesurer la distance de votre
coup. Le mode distance du coup retournera par défaut à l'écran jouer au
golf et continuera à mesurer les distances en arrière-plan. Lorsque vous
avez rejoint votre balle, appuyez sur le bouton ( 3 ) à nouveau pour finir
et voir la distance du coup.
*Note : L'écran distance du coup retournera par défaut à l'écran jouer au
golf après 15 secondes.
2.5 Informations objectifs & hazards
Depuis le mode jouer au golf, appuyez sur le bouton (
) pour consulter
les informations sur les obstacles naturels. Si plus de 3 hazards sont
présents, appuyez sur le bouton ( ) pour faire défiler les pages. Appuyez
sur le bouton ( 3 ) pour retourner au mode jeu.
*Note: si aucun obstacle naturel n'est présent pour un certain trou,
la fonction hazards est désactivée. Si l'information sur les obstacles

4.3 Sortir du jeu
Depuis le mode jouer au golf, appuyez et maintenez le bouton ( 2 ) pendant 2 secondes. Puis
sélectionnez l'icône
avec le bouton ( 2 ) après l'avoir fait apparaître avec les boutons ( 3 ) et

). Sélectionnez Oui ou Non en navigant avec les boutons ( 3 ) et (

5. OPERATIONS AVANCEES
5.1 Enregistrement des scores
Depuis le mode jouer au golf, appuyez et maintenez le bouton ( ) pendant
2 secondes pour consulter et enregistrer les scores. Pour enregistrer vos
scores, naviguez au trou désiré en utilisant les boutons ( 3 ) et ( ), puis
appuyez sur le bouton ( 2 ) pour sélectionner ce trou. Vous défilerez alors
jusqu'au score avec les boutons ( 3 ) et ( ) et pourrez confirmer le score
avec le bouton ( 2 ). Appuyez et maintenez le bouton ( 2 ) après avoir
enregistré vos scores pour retourner au mode jouer au golf.
5.2 Traçage GPS
*Note: Lors de l'enregistrement des scores nominale sera la valeur par
défaut.
Depuis le mode Date/Heure, appuyez et maintenez le bouton ( 2 )
pendant 2 secondes, puis défilez vers l'icône
avec les boutons
( 3 ) et (
) et sélectionnez avec le bouton ( 2 ). Une fois que le
signal GPS a été trouvé, l'appareil commencera automatiquement à
enregistrer. Vous pouvez suspendre le traçage en appuyant sur le bouton

6. MISE À JOUR LOGICIELLE
Votre appareil GolfBuddy CT2 est doté du dernier firmware et des dernières cartes de parcours du
monde entier disponibles au moment de la fabrication : il est donc prêt à accompagner votre jeu
dès son déballage. Pour une performance optimale et une plus longue durée de vie du produit, nous
vous recommandons d'enregistrer votre appareil et de le maintenir à jour avec les dernier firmware
disponible. Vous pouvez aussi ajouter les dernières cartes de parcours et les dernières mises à jours
gratuitement une fois que votre appareil est enregistré. Les instructions ci-dessous vous offrent des
instructions pas à pas pour enregistrer et mettre à jour votre GolfBuddy CT2.
1. Télécharger le logiciel GolfBuddy Management Software (GB Manager) sur votre
ordinateur :
• Consultez notre site web www.golfbuddyglobal.com
• Cliquez sur le cadre intitulé "Download GB Course Manager." Vous verrez ensuite un écran avec le
choix entre le logiciel Windows ou Mac.
• Cliquez sur la version correspondant à votre ordinateur. Une fois téléchargé, vous pouvez lancer
l'application pour installer le GB Manager sur votre ordinateur.
• Une fois installé, vous verrez une icône bleue intitulée "GolfBuddy World Course Manager" sur votre
bureau que vous pourrez utiliser pour accéder au GB Manager une fois que vous vous êtes enregistré.
2. Création d'un identifiant utilisateur :
• Ouvrez l'application GB Manager en cliquant sur l'icône bleue sur votre bureau.
• Vous verrez un écran de connexion. Cliquez sur "Sign up for new user" en bas de l'écran. Ceci fera
apparaître un écran pour que vous puissiez créer un identifiant utilisateur et un mot de passe.
• Remplissez tous les détails requis (indiqués par "*"). Prenez en compte les instructions concernant
l'absence de majuscules, de symboles ou d'espaces, ainsi que la longueur entre 4 et 15 caractères.
Cliquez sur "Check Availability" pour vérifier que votre identifiant sélectionné est valide et n'a pas
encore été enregistré.
• Cliquez sur "Submit" en bas du formulaire lorsque vous avez terminé.
• Vous avez ainsi créé votre identifiant et votre mot de passe...Prenez soin de les noter dans un endroit sûr
au cas où vous les oublieriez !

3. Enregistrement de votre GolfBuddy CT2:
• Connectez votre appareil GolfBuddy à un port USB de votre ordinateur en utilisant le câble USB
fourni avec l'appareil.
• Après un bref moment, votre appareil GolfBuddy devrait afficher une icône à l'écran indiquant qu'il
est connecté à l'ordinateur.
Notes : Vous pouvez ignorer toute demande de téléchargement de pilote de périphérique pouvant être
demandée par votre ordinateur.
• Cliquez sur l'icône GB bleue
sur votre bureau et ouvrez le
panneau de connexion.
• Saisissez votre identifiant
et votre mot de passe. Vous
devriez à présent voir un écran
indiquant que le GB Manager
recherche votre appareil.
Après un bref moment, vous
verrez "Connexion établie".
A ce moment, votre appareil
est correctement associé
au compte que vous avez
créé et vous ne pourrez plus
enregistrer votre appareil
sous un autre compte.
4. Mise à jour de votre GolfBuddy CT2 en trois étapes

2.3 Configuración de la hora
La hora se configurará automáticamente una vez que el CT2 se haya conectado exitosamente al GPS
a través del satélite (tenga en cuenta que debe estar en el exterior para conectarse con los satélites),
sin embargo, las zonas horarias y el horario de verano tendrán que configurarse respectivamente.
Para configurar el reloj manualmente (desde la pantalla de la hora / fecha), mantenga pulsado el
botón (
) para entrar en modo de configuración de la hora. Pulse los botones ( 3 ) o ( ) para
cambiar la hora y, a continuación, pulse el botón ( 2 ) 4 veces para aplicar los cambios.

2.4 Medición de la distancia del lanzamiento
En el modo Jugar al golf, mantenga pulsado el botón ( 3 ) durante 2
segundos para iniciar la medición de la distancia del lanzamiento. El
modo de la distancia del lanzamiento regresará automáticamente a la
pantalla Jugar al golf y medirá las distancias en segundo plano. Una vez
que alcance la pelota, pulse otra vez el botón ( 3 ) para finalizar y ver la
distancia del lanzamiento.
*Nota: la pantalla de la distancia del lanzamiento regresará automáticamente
a la pantalla Jugar al golf después de 15 segundos.
2.5 Información sobre peligros y objetivos

5.2 Localización GPS

6. ACTUALIZACIÓN DEL SOFTWARE
El GolfBuddy CT2 fue cargado previamente con el último firmware y los mapas de campos de
todo el mundo disponibles en el momento de la fabricación, por lo que está listo para ponerlo
en funcionamiento una vez que lo saque de la caja. Para un mejor rendimiento y una mayor
duración del producto, le recomendamos que registre el producto y lo mantenga actualizado
con las últimas versiones de firmware. También puede añadir los últimos mapas de campos
y actualizarlos sin coste alguno una vez que haya registrado el producto. Las siguientes
instrucciones le proporcionarán una guía paso a paso acerca de cómo registrar y actualizar
el GolfBuddy CT2.
1. Descarga del software GolfBuddy Management (GB Manager) en su ordenador:
• Visite nuestra página web en www.golfbuddyglobal.com
• Haga clic en el panel denominado "Descargar gestor de campos de GB". Podrá ver una
pantalla con una opción para elegir entre el software basado en Windows o en Mac.
• Haga clic en la versión correcta de su ordenador. Una vez descargado, puede ejecutar la
aplicación para instalar el GB Manager en su ordenador.
• Una vez instalado, podrá ver un icono azul llamado "Gestor de campos del mundo GolfBuddy"
en su escritorio que utilizará para acceder al GB Manager una vez que se haya registrado.
2. Creación de una Id. de usuario:
• Abra la aplicación GB Manager haciendo clic en el icono azul de su escritorio.

2. ERSTE SCHRITTE
2.1 Ein- / Ausschalten
Zum Ein- bzw. Ausschalten des CT2 halten Sie die Taste (
3 Sekunden lang gedrückt.
2.2 Laden

Zum Laden stecken Sie den USB-Clip auf das Gerät
wie in den Abbildungen links gezeigt. Richten Sie
die Führungspins auf der Unterseite des Ladegeräts
an den Führungslöcher n auf der Rückseite des CT2
aus und drücken Sie es in
die vorgesehene Position.
Während des Ladens wird die
Batterieanzeige eingeblendet
(siehe

rechts).
Wenn die Batterie vollständig
aufgeladen ist, wird dies auf
dem Display angezeigt. Zum
Trennen des CT2 drücken Sie
den Ladeclip zusammen und ziehen ihn vom Gerät
ab.
2.3 Uhrzeit einstellen
Die Zeit wird automatisch eingestellt, sobald das CT2 eine Verbindung zum GPS-Satelliten aufgebaut
hat (Hinweis: Hierfür müssen Sie sich im Freien aufhalten). Zeitzonen und Sommerzeit müssen Sie
jedoch selbst einstellen. Um in der Ansicht Uhrzeit/Datum die Zeitanzeige manuell einzustellen,
halten Sie die Taste ( ) gedrückt, bis Sie im Modus zur Zeiteinstellung sind. Drücken Sie die Tasten
(
) oder (
) zum Ändern der Stundenanzeige. Drücken Sie dann die Taste (
) 4 Mal, um die
Änderung zu übernehmen.
*Hinweis: Die Minuten werden nach der Verbindungsaufnahme zum Satelliten automatisch
eingestellt. Es ist nicht möglich, sie manuell anzupassen.

gedrückt, um Ihre Schlaglänge zu messen. Vom Modus Schlaglänge
wird automatisch zurück zur Ansicht Golf spielen gewechselt. Die
Schlaglängen werden im Hintergrund gemessen. Wenn Sie Ihren Ball
erreicht haben, drücken Sie wieder die Taste ( 3 ), um die Messung zu
beenden und die Schlaglänge anzuzeigen.

das GPS-Signal gefunden ist, beginnt das Gerät automatisch mit der
Aufzeichnung. Sie können die GPS-Verfolgung anhalten, indem Sie die

) drücken. Zum Löschen der Aufzeichnung halten Sie die Taste

• Klicken Sie auf die richtige Version für Ihren Computer. Nach dem Herunterladen können Sie die
Anwendung ausführen, um den Kursmanager auf Ihrem Computer zu installieren.
• Wenn der Vorgang abgeschlossen ist, befindet sich auf Ihrem Desktop ein blaues Symbol mit
der Bezeichnung "GolfBuddy World Course Manager". Über dieses Symbol können Sie nach der
Registrierung auf den Kursmanager zugreifen.
2. Benutzer-ID erstellen:
• Öffnen Sie den Kursmanager, indem Sie auf Ihrem Desktop auf das blaue Symbol klicken.
• Sie sehen eine Anmeldeseite. Klicken Sie unten auf "Sign up for new user" (Neuen Benutzer anmelden).
Es wird eine Seite anzeigt, auf der Sie Ihre Benutzer-ID und ein Kennwort erstellen.
• Geben Sie alle erforderlichen Details ein (Pflichtfelder sind mit * gekennzeichnet). Bitte beachten
Sie, dass keine Großbuchstaben, Symbole und Leerzeichen zulässig sind und die Länge auf 4 bis 15
Zeichen beschränkt ist. Klicken Sie auf "Check Availability" (Verfügbarkeit prüfen), um zu überprüfen,
ob Ihre gewählte Benutzer-ID gültig und nicht bereits vergeben ist.
• Wenn Sie fertig sind, klicken Sie unten auf "Submit" (Senden).
• Damit haben Sie Ihre Benutzer-ID und Ihr Kennwort erstellt.
Notieren Sie diese für den Fall, dass Sie sie vergessen.

3. Ihren GolfBuddy CT2 registrieren:
• Verbinden Sie Ihren GolfBuddy über das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel mit einem USB-Anschluss Ihres
Computers.
• Nach kurzer Zeit wird auf dem Display Ihres GolfBuddy ein Symbol angezeigt, das bestätigt, dass Ihr
Gerät mit dem Computer verbunden ist.
Hinweise: Sie können alle Meldungen Ihres Computers zu benötigten Treibern ignorieren.
• Klicken Sie auf Ihrem Desktop auf das blaue Kursmanager-Symbol und öffnen Sie die Anmeldeseite.
• Geben Sie Ihre Benutzer-ID und Ihr Kennwort ein. Jetzt sehen Sie eine Seite, auf der angezeigt wird,
dass der Kursmanager nach dem Gerät sucht. Nach kurzer Zeit erscheint "Connection Established"
(Verbindung
hergestellt).
Nun ist Ihr Gerät unter
dem von Ihnen erstellten
Benutzerkonto registriert.
Sie können es nicht mehr
unter
einem
anderen
Benutzerkonto registrieren.
4. Aktualisieren Sie Ihren GolfBuddy CT2 in drei Schritten
