Mi Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,
¡Feliz Día de las Madres!
Mientras estamos celebrando el Día de las Madres este fin de semana también
se celebra la Ordenación de cuatro nuevos sacerdotes aquí en la Arquidiócesis
de Miami. Yo también fui ordenado en la semana del Día de las Madres y creo
que la conexión es hermosa. El día de la ordenación, como el día de bodas, es
un momento en que elegimos libremente vivir para que otro (u otros) tengan
vida - amar como Jesús nos ha amado. Esto es posible en gran parte gracias a
nuestras madres. Como María estaba con Jesús, también nuestras madres están
con nosotros. El estar con nosotros durante toda nuestra vida - especialmente
cuando nuestras cruces son pesadas - nos da fuerza y nos sostiene a medida que
crecemos y nos esforzamos por vivir la vida que el Señor ha preparado para
nosotros. Les debemos mucho a ellas. Como el cuarto mandamiento dice
"Honra a tu padre y a tu madre". El día de las Madres es un día en que hacemos
eso. Reconocemos y agradecemos a nuestras madres por su amor con un poco
de atención especial.
La conexión con el día de Ordenación es aún más conmovedora para nosotros
este año. Volveremos a ser bendecidos al recibir a un sacerdote recién
ordenado a nuestra familia parroquial. El P. Elvis González, ordenado la
mañana del sábado, va a venir a Nuestra Señora de Lourdes como vicario
parroquial. El P. González ya nos conoce - por lo menos un poco. Como
seminarista pasó un año con el Padre Alejandro en Santa Catalina de Siena y
tuvo la oportunidad de visitarnos de vez en cuando. El sábado por la mañana
algunos de nosotros pudimos estar en su ordenación para darle la bienvenida y
hacerle saber lo contentos que estamos de que viene aquí. Usted puede
encontrar más información sobre él en el Florida Catholic.
¡Así que estos son días buenos! Pronto tendremos la oportunidad de dar la
bienvenida formalmente al P. Gonzalez a Nuestra Señora de Lourdes. Por
ahora, vamos a orar por él y dirigir nuestra atención a nuestras madres. Vamos
a llenarlas con afecto hoy y aprovechar cada oportunidad que el Señor nos da
con el paso de los años para darles un poco de la comodidad y el consuelo que
nos dan. Vamos a aliviar algunas de las preocupaciones y trabajos de la vida
por ellas, para que puedan entrar en el gozo del Señor, incluso ahora - mientras
que todavía están entre nosotros.

Serve as a volunteer in the piscines, train station, airport, accueil, dining-housekeeping, kitchen and experience Lourdes in
the best way possible, as a Volunteer!
If you are interested in being a Volunteer at the Sanctuary of Lourdes, France, or for more information,

The Rite of Blessing of a Child in the Womb
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is celebrating the Rite of Blessing of the Child in the Womb at all Masses this
Mother’s Day, May 12, 2013.
This blessing rite includes fathers and other family members who should be present, as they await the birth of the
child in the womb.
The Rite of Blessing of a Child in the Womb was formally approved for use in the United States and was made
part of the Book of Blessings on December 8, 2011.

Rito de Bendición de Una Criatura en el Vientre Materno
La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes celebrará el Rito de Bendición del Niño en el Vientre Materno, en todas las Misas el Dia de las Madres, Mayo 12, 2013
Este rito de bendición incluye a los padres y otros miembros de la familia presente. Pueden participar de
esta bendición mientras esperan el nacimiento del niño en el vientre.
El Rito de la Bendición de un niño en el vientre / Rito de Bendición de Una criatura en el
vientre materno fue formalmente aprobado para su uso en los Estados Unidos y pasó a

Then “Joyful Again” may be what you need!
Joyful Again is a two (2) day retreat program for men and women of all ages who have been widowed and
are seeking to renew hope and joy in their lives.
