Reunir experiencia sobre colaboraciones público-privadas (PPPs) en el ámbito de la
salud pública para explorar su papel en el contexto genómico, analizando la forma de
promocionar el establecimiento de PPPs Europeas en el ámbito genómico. El
aumento de proyectos a gran escala haciendo uso de bases de datos de secuenciación
poblacionales coexiste con los intereses comerciales. Estos proyectos están asociados
con un alto nivel de inversión, incluyendo equipamientos científicos, recursos basados
en el conocimiento e infraestructuras electrónicas de las que podrían beneficiarse
instituciones públicas y privadas. No obstante, estos proyectos también plantean
cuestiones éticas, legales y sociales que deben ser abordadas de forma rigurosa.
