MostLEDmanufacturerssuggesttheirproductstobedrivenusingaconstantcurrentsource,
notaconstantvoltagesource.Thisisbecause,usingaconstantvoltagedriving,smallvariations
intemperatureorvoltageattheLEDscancauseanoticeablechangeintheirbrightness.
Brightnesscontrolwithvoltageisalsoverydifficultbecauseofthenon-linearityofbrightness
withvoltage.Onthecontrary,thebrightnessisapproximatelylinearwithcurrent,sobydriving
theLEDswithaknowncurrent,intensitycontrolislinear.
Thisstrobecontrollerhasasingle,programmable,constant-currentpulsedoutputwithcurrent
rangingfrom5mAto17.0Aoverthreecurrentranges:
