faith, vision and knowledge to take a leadership role in
the establishment, formation and execution of the
cradle to grave Faith Formation Ministry for our large
multi-cultural community. The candidate should hold a
Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Theology,
Catechetics, Youth Ministry or Religious Studies, and
have strong organizational skills, with the ability to
recruit and delegate. The focus is to bring all ages to a
closer understanding and involvement as part of the
Body of Christ. The successful candidate will have
strong interpersonal skills including the ability to
communicate effectively and work with a variety of
constituents, including children, and will treat all with
respect and compassion. Bi-lingual skills (EnglishSpanish) are needed.

AGRADECIMIENTO DE EL~SHADDAI
El~Shaddai desea agradecer a los Padres Paw y Avelino, al igual
que al personal administra vo de la oficina de San Pío V por su
apoyo en el pasado Re ro de Iniciación de Adolescentes del 26
al 28 de Agosto.
Igualmente, agradecemos a cada uno de los servidores de
El~Shaddai, por su gran colaboración al ofrecer de su empo,
sus dones, y sobre todo su caridad a beneficio de los
adolescentes de nuestra comunidad de San Pío V.
Nuestro agradecimiento a aquellos padres de familia que
supieron persuadir a sus hijos adolescentes, sabiendo de
antemano los beneficios espirituales que sus hijos recibirían
durante el re ro. Tal como lo expresó una de las madres
agradecida:
“Muchas gracias por tan linda labor, nuestros hijos necesitan
esa inyección de amor que los acompañe permanentemente
para toda su vida. Espero y confió que la semilla que ha sido

At St. Pius V Catholic School, God is part of our daily curriculum and we partner with parents as
the primary educators of their children. We enhance the learning environment with technology
and we work to design an educational program to meet the needs of the individual student.
Students opened the day with a formal flag ceremony, reflection and prayers in remembrance of 9/11. Later, in
classrooms, teachers discussed the events of the day on an age-appropriate level. One first grade classroom made
hand flags and wrote about what a hero is and who their heroes are.
Let us pray . . . O Lord our God, in your mercy and
kindness, no thought of ours is left unnoticed, no
desire or concern ignored. You have proven that
blessings abound when we fall on our knees in
prayer, and so we turn to you in our hour of need.
Surrounded by violence and cries for justice,
we hear your voice telling us what is required . . .
“Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to
walk humbly with your God” (Mi 6:8).
Fill us with your mercy so that we, in turn,
may be merciful to others.
Strip away pride, suspicion, and racism so that we
may seek peace and justice in our communities.
Strengthen our hearts so that they beat only to the
rhythm of your holy will. Flood our path with your
light as we walk humbly toward a
future filled with encounter and unity.
Be with us, O Lord, in our efforts, for only by the
prompting of your grace can we progress toward
virtue. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
