Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich als Stirnleuchte vorgesehen. Jeder andere Gebrauch ist
bestimmungswidrig.
1.4
Gewährleistung
Es gelten unsere Allgemeinen Verkaufsbedingungen in der jeweils gültigen Fassung. Davon
abweichende Vereinbarungen schränken die gesetzlichen Rechte des Käufers nicht ein.
Eine darüber hinausgehende Garantie bedarf der vertraglichen Form und schließt Vandalismus
an Bauteilen, Software-Updates sowie Verbrauchsartikel aus.
Wichtige Hinweise:
Die Instandsetzung des Produkts darf nur durch Gebrüder Martin oder durch eine von
Gebrüder Martin ausdrücklich dazu ermächtigte Person oder Firma durchgeführt werden.
Erfolgt die Instandsetzung durch eine von Gebrüder Martin autorisierte Person oder Firma, so
wird der Betreiber des Produkts aufgefordert, vom Instandsetzer eine Bescheinigung über Art
und Umfang der Instandsetzung zu verlangen. Diese Bescheinigung muss das Datum der
Ausführung sowie die Firmenangabe mit Unterschrift aufweisen.

Falls die Instandsetzung nicht vom Hersteller selbst durchgeführt wird, müssen instand
gesetzte Produkte zusätzlich das Kennzeichen des Instandsetzers erhalten.
Bei unsachgemäßen Eingriffen oder Veränderungen durch Dritte während der Verjährungsfrist
erlöschen jegliche Gewährleistungsansprüche. Nicht autorisierte Aktionen am Produkt führen
zum Verlust des Haftungsanspruchs gegenüber Gebrüder Martin.

Überprüfen Sie die Lieferung sofort nach Empfang auf Vollständigkeit und Unversehrtheit.

Hinweise zu dieser Gebrauchsanweisung
Bei Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung besteht die Möglichkeit einer
schweren oder sogar tödlichen Verletzung des Patienten oder des Anwenders!
Sorgen Sie dafür, dass die folgenden Hinweise verstanden und beachtet werden!
•
Jeder Anwender muss die Gebrauchsanweisung vollständig lesen und beachten.
•
Insbesondere alle Vorsichts-, Warn- und Gefahrenhinweise beachten.
•
Die Gebrauchsanweisung muss dem Anwender jederzeit zugänglich sein.
•
Der Anwender ist dafür verantwortlich, dass der Patient über die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung genannten Abwendungs-, Vorsichts-, Warn- und Gefahrenhinweise informiert ist
und diese verstanden hat.

HINWEIS
Die LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire® ist ein mit LEDs betriebenes Gerät. Bitte beachten
Sie, dass LEDs ein kühles und hellweißes Licht ausstrahlen und so in einer anderen Lichtfarbe
als andere alternative prozedurale Lichtquellen scheinen. Daher sollten Sie sich auf den
Farbunterschied, den die LEDs in Ihrem angeleuchteten Zielbereich erzeugen, einstellen.

Wichtige Sicherheitsvorschriften
Eine Nichtbeachtung dieser sehr wichtigen Gebrauchsanweisung kann zu Verletzungen,
unvorhergesehenen Folgen aufgrund einer missbräuchlichen Verwendung, zu Produktausfall
und zu einem Erlöschen des Garantieanspruchs führen. Bitte lesen Sie sich diese Anweisungen
sorgfältig durch, bevor Sie die LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire® verwenden und bewahren
Sie sie für zukünftige Referenzwecke an einem sicheren Ort auf.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie dieses Produkt nur entsprechend den lokalen Bestimmungen als elektronisches
Gerät.
Allgemeine Sicherheit
Leuchten Sie mit dieser Stirnleuchte nicht direkt in die Augen des Patienten. Halten Sie
niemals Lupen oder andere optische Systeme vor die Stirnleuchte.
VORSICHT
Blendgefahr!
Die LED-Lichtquelle ist intensiv und hat aufgrund ihrer Blendwirkung ein hohes sekundäres
Gefährdungspotenzial. Es können eine temporäre Beeinträchtigung der Sehschärfe und
Nachbilder auftreten, die je nach Situation zu Irritationen, Ärgernissen, Sehstörungen und
sogar Unfällen führen können.
Sichere Verwendung
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, wenn Sie das Gerät nicht verwenden. Die Blende der Stirnleuchte
darf während der Verwendung nicht mit einem Tuch oder einem ähnlichen Material bedeckt
sein, denn sie könnte sonst unangenehm warm werden.
Allgemeiner Anwendungshinweis
Bitte wenden Sie sich an den Hersteller oder Ihren autorisierten Händler, wenn Unklarheiten
hinsichtlich der Anwendung bestehen.
Hinweis zu zahnärztlichen Anwendungen
Möglicherweise müssen Sie einen Gelbfilter verwenden, um eine vorzeitige Aushärtung des
Verbundmaterials zu verhindern.

Ladeanweisungen
4.1
Ladezeiten
•
Laden Sie die Akkus vor der ersten Verwendung 16 – 24 Stunden auf, ansonsten
6 Stunden oder über Nacht.
Weitere Informationen finden Sie in Kapitel 6 „Akkunutzung”, Seite 13 und Kapitel 9
„Rheostat-Bedienungsanleitung”, Seite 16.
4.2
Laden mit dem Ladegerät
•
Das Ladegerät befindet sich in dem Koffer der LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Stecken Sie den Mikro-B-USB-Stecker (2) des Ladekabels in die Buchse (3) unterhalb des
linken Akkupacks.
•
Stecken Sie den USB-Stecker (1) des Ladekabels in die USB-Buchse (4) des
Steckernetzteils.
•
Stecken Sie das Steckernetzteil in eine Steckdose.
•
Alternativ können Sie die Akkus laden, indem Sie den USB-Stecker des Ladekabels in eine
USB-Buchse an einem PC stecken.

Ladehinweise
•
Laden Sie die Akkus, wenn das Gerät nicht in Gebrauch ist. Entfernen Sie die Akkus vor
einer längeren Lagerung. Akkus verlieren im Laufe der Zeit Kapazität.
•
Schalten Sie das Gerät während der Ladung aus (Hebel ganz nach unten).
•
Verwenden Sie zum Laden nur das Ladegerät für die LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Der Ladegerätanschluss (USB-Buchse unter dem linken Akkupack) lädt alle eingelegten
Akkus, also beidseitig. Das Ladegerät kann je nach Seriennummer und Chargennummer
variieren.
WARNUNG
Um Personen- und Sachschäden durch z. B. elektrischen Schlag oder Feuer zu
vermeiden:
•
Benutzen Sie zum Betrieb der LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire® nur die mitgelieferten
Akkus und Ladegeräte.
•
Der Akku darf weder geöffnet, in einem Feuer entsorgt, umgekehrt eingelegt oder mit
gebrauchten oder anderen Arten von Akkus oder kurzgeschlossenen Akkus gemischt
werden – er könnte sich entzünden, explodieren, auslaufen oder über 100 °C erhitzen und
so Verletzungen verursachen.
•
Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder auslaufenden Akkus. Entsorgen Sie diese
entsprechend der geltenden Entsorgungsvorschriften.
•
Verwenden Sie das Ladegerät nur an trockenen Orten. Halten Sie das Gerät fern von
Regen, Schnee oder übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit.
•
Schließen Sie Ladegeräte niemals an ein Verlängerungskabel an.
•
Verwenden Sie das Ladegerät nicht, wenn es beschädigt ist.
•
Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Netz, bevor Sie es warten oder reinigen.

Bedienung
Bitte lesen Sie das Kapitel 4 „Ladeanweisungen”, Seite 10 durch, bevor Sie dieser
Bedienungsanleitung folgen:
•
Stellen Sie das Stirnband auf Ihre Kopfgröße ein.
Platzieren Sie dazu das Gerät auf Ihrem Kopf und passen
Sie dessen Breite an, indem Sie den hinteren Knopf
drehen und die Höhe, indem Sie den oberen
Klettverschluss (1) anpassen.
•
Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den Hebel (2)
etwas nach oben drehen. Schauen Sie nach unten,
während sich die Stirnleuchte auf Ihrem Kopf befindet und
stellen Sie die gewünschte Helligkeitsstufe ein, indem Sie
den Hebel (2) so weit wie nötig nach oben drehen.
•
Stellen Sie die Richtung des Lichtstrahls mit Hilfe der
beweglichen Scharniere (3) der Stirnleuchte ein.
•
Stellen Sie die Lichtfeldgröße mit Hilfe des Reglers oben
auf dem Lampengehäuse (4) ein.
HINWEIS
Risiko von Augenschäden
Leuchten Sie nicht direkt mit der LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire® in Ihre Augen. Wenn
der Lichtstrahl direkt auf Ihre Augen zeigt, drehen Sie den Kopf vom Lichtstrahl weg.

Seite 16.

Akkunutzung
Die LED-Stirnleuchte MedLED Sapphire® ist mit einer Ladezustandsanzeige, einem zentralen,
beide Akkus versorgenden Ladeanschluss und benutzerfreundlichen, Hot-Swap-fähigen Akkus
ausgestattet.
•
Laden Sie die Akkus vor der ersten Verwendung 16 – 24 Stunden auf, ansonsten
6 Stunden.
Die nachfolgend angegebenen Punkte werden Ihnen dabei helfen, die LED-Stirnleuchte
MedLED Sapphire® richtig zu laden, so dass Sie sie mit maximaler Leistung betreiben können.
6.1
Anzeige des Akkuladezustands
Auf dem linken Akkupack befinden sich fünf grüne Status-LEDs (1) – (5). Jede Status-LED
entspricht einem Teil der verbleibenden Akkulaufzeit.
HINWEIS
Ungenauigkeiten bei der Anzeige
Das Messgerät liest den Ladezustand von Zeit zu Zeit ungenau aus. Es empfiehlt sich daher,
die Ladezeiten (siehe Kapitel 4.1 „Ladezeiten”, Seite 10) und die Ladehinweise (siehe
Kapitel 4.3 „Ladehinweise”, Seite 11)zu beachten.

6.2
Austausch der Akkus
HINWEIS
Akkulebensdauer
Während des Ladevorgangs müssen die Akkus vollständig in die Akkufächer des Stirnbands
geschoben sein. Wenn die Akkus nur noch schwer einzulegen oder zu entfernen sind, haben
die Akkus wahrscheinlich das Ende ihres Lebenszyklus erreicht. Kontaktieren Sie Ihren
Vertreter, um Ersatzakkus zu kaufen und entsorgen Sie verbrauchte Akkus entsprechend der
geltenden Entsorgungsvorschriften.
Zum Wechseln der Akkus, ziehen Sie diese vorsichtig aus den Akkufächern des Stirnbands
heraus. Werden die Akkus nicht vorsichtig entnommen und eingelegt, kann das Gerät
dauerhaft beschädigt werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die vier Goldkontakte beim Einlegen der
Akkus nach vorne mit den Etiketten nach innen zeigen.
6.3
Akkus ersetzen
Für eine optimale Leistung wird empfohlen, die Akkus alle 12 – 24 Monate zu ersetzen.
Entsorgen Sie gebrauchte Akkus unverzüglich und ordnungsgemäß.

Allgemeine Pflegeanweisungen
Reinigung
Das Gehäuse des Instruments kann mit einem weichen Tuch, das mit Alkohol oder einer nicht
aggressiven Desinfektionslösung benetzt ist, gereinigt werden. Tauchen oder sprühen Sie es
nicht in oder mit Desinfektionsmittel ein. Die schwarzen Polsterbänder können zu Reinigungszwecken entfernt werden, indem die Schnappverbindungen auseinandergezogen werden. Wir
empfehlen jedoch, die Polster beim Reinigen angebracht zu lassen. Die Polster können auf die
gleiche Weise gereinigt werden. Tauchen oder sprühen Sie auch diese nicht in oder mit
Desinfektionsmittel ein.

Rheostat-Bedienungsanleitung
Der Rheostat (1) befindet sich an der MedLED Sapphire® über Ihrem rechten Ohr. Zwischen
Aus (Hebel unten) und voller Leistung (Hebel ganz oben) können Sie jede gewünschte Leistung
stufenlos einstellen.

the Headlight MedLED Sapphire®, and keep the manual in a safe place for your future
reference.
Disposal
Dispose of this product only as an electronic device and in accordance with the local
regulations.
General safety
Do not shine the headlight's beam directly into the patient's eyes. Never hold magnifying
glasses or other optical systems in front of the headlight.

Danger: glare hazard!
The LED light source produces an intense beam that can cause glare and thus has a high
secondary hazard potential. Temporary impairment to visual acuity can occur, as can afterimages that may cause distraction, irritation, visual impairment or even accidents, depending
on the situation at hand.
Safe usage
Switch off the device when you are not using the unit. Do not cover the headlight's aperture
with a cloth or similar material while it is being used, since this could cause it to become
uncomfortably warm.
General information on usage
Please contact the manufacturer or your authorised dealer if you need answers to any
questions about using the device.
Using the device for dental treatment
It is possible that you will need to use a yellow filter in order to avoid premature curing of
composite materials.

Charging instructions
4.1
Charging times
•
Before first use, charge the batteries for 16 – 24 hours; otherwise charge for 6 hours or
overnight.
Further information is given in chapter 6 "Battery usage", page 27 and chapter 9 "Rheostat
operating instructions", page 30.
4.2
Charging using the charging unit
•
The charging unit can be found in the Headlight MedLED Sapphire® case.
•
Insert the Micro-B USB plug (2) on the charging cable into the socket (3) underneath the
left-hand battery pack.
•
Insert the USB plug (1) on the charging cable into the USB socket (4) on the wall plug
adapter.
•
Plug the wall plug adapter into a mains socket.
•
Alternatively, you can also charge the batteries by plugging the charging cable's USB plug
into a USB port on a PC.

4.3
Charging process
•
Charge the batteries when the device is not being used. Remove batteries before periods
of prolonged storage. Rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time.
•
Switch off the device during charging (lever all the way down).
•
When charging, always use the charging unit designed for the Headlight MedLED
Sapphire®.
•
The charging port (USB socket under the left-hand battery pack) loads all inserted
batteries, i.e. on both sides. The charging unit may vary according to device serial and lot
number.

To avoid personal injury and damage to property (e.g. via electrical shock or fire):

Always use the rechargeable batteries and charging units supplied to operate the

The battery must not be opened, disposed of in fire, have its polarity reversed, or mixed

Do not use any batteries that are damaged or leaking. Dispose of these in accordance
with the applicable disposal regulations.

Operation
Please read chapter 4 "Charging instructions", page 24, before continuing to read these
operating instructions:
•
Adjust the headband to fit your head size. To do so, first
place the device on your head. Now adjust the width by
turning the knob at the back and the height by adjusting
the Velcro fastener on the top (1).
•
Switch on the device by pushing the lever (2) upwards
slightly. While wearing the headlight on your head, look
down and adjust the brightness level as desired by
pushing the lever (2) upwards as far as necessary.
•
Adjust the orientation of the light beam by using the
headlight's movable pivot joints (3)
•
Adjust the size of the light field by using the control knob
on the top of the lamp casing (4)
NOTE
Risk of eye damage
Do not shine the Headlight MedLED Sapphire® directly into your eyes. If the light beam is
pointing directly at your eyes, turn your head away from the light beam.

Battery usage
The Headlight MedLED Sapphire® is equipped with a battery charge indicator, a central
charging port that routes power to both batteries and user-friendly, hot-swappable
rechargeable batteries.
•
Before first use, charge the batteries for 16 – 24 hours; otherwise charge for 6 hours
The sections given below will help you to charge the Headlight MedLED Sapphire® correctly, so
that you will be able to experience maximum performance when using the device.
6.1
Battery charge indicator
Five green status LEDs (1) to (5) are located on the left-hand battery pack. Each status LED
represents a portion of the remaining battery life.
NOTE
Inaccuracies in the display
Occasionally, the check circuitry will read an incorrect charge. We therefore recommend
observing the charging times (see chapter 4.1 "Charging times", page 24) and the charging
instructions (see chapter 4.3 "Charging process", page 25).

6.2
Changing the batteries
NOTE
Battery lifetime
During charging, the batteries must be fully inserted into the battery compartments in the
headband. If you have difficulty inserting or removing the batteries, then the batteries have
probably reached the end of their useful life. Contact your dealer to purchase replacement
batteries and dispose of the used batteries in accordance with applicable waste disposal
regulations.
To change the batteries, pull them carefully out of the battery compartments in the headband.
If the batteries are not removed and replaced carefully, then the device can suffer permanent
damage. When inserting the batteries, ensure that the four gold contacts are to the front, with
the labels pointing inwards.
6.3
Replacing batteries
To ensure optimum performance, we recommend replacing the batteries every 12 – 24
months. Dispose of used batteries in the proper way and as soon as possible.

General care information
Cleaning
The instrument casing can be cleaned using a soft cloth that has been moistened with alcohol
or a non-aggressive disinfectant solution. Do not immerse or spray the device in or with a
disinfectant solution. To make cleaning easier, the black padded straps can be removed by
gently pulling apart the press stud fasteners. However, we recommend leaving the padding in
place for cleaning. The padding can be cleaned in the same way. The padding must also not be
immersed in or sprayed with a disinfectant solution.

Rheostat operating instructions
On the MedLED Sapphire®, the rheostat (1) is located above your right ear. You can configure

Suministro
Lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire® incl. paquete de baterías (2 baterías VARTA Microbattery
EZPACK XL), cable de carga USB, unidad de alimentación con cuatro adaptadores
(EU / US / UK / AU) y maletín de trasporte.
1.3
Utilización según las prescripciones
La lámparas únicamente deben utilizarse para la finalidad correspondiente a su tipo de
construcción:
iluminación de un campo operatorio o de exploración por cirujanos, médicos y el
personal asistente debidamente formado.
Las lámparas de quirófano sólo deben utilizarse en estancias de uso sanitario cuya instalación
eléctrica cumpla con los requisitos de la norma DIN VDE 0100, parte 710, en vigor desde el 1
de noviembre de 2002 (sólo en la República Federal de Alemania) o las correspondientes
normativas del país en donde se exploten!
1.4
Garantía
Son aplicables nuestras condiciones generales de venta en su versión válida respectiva.
Acuerdos que difieran de éstas no limitan los derechos legales del comprador.
Una garantía que vaya más allá de estas condiciones generales de venta requiere de la forma
contractual y excluye el vandalismo en componentes, las actualizaciones de software, así como
los artículos consumibles.
Notas importantes
La reparación del producto sólo debe ser realizada por Gebrüder Martin o por una persona o
empresa expresamente autorizada por Gebrüder Martin.

Si la reparación es realizada por una persona o empresa autorizada por Gebrüder Martin, será
necesario que el propietario del producto exija del técnico de servicio un certificado sobre el
tipo y la envergadura de la reparación. Este certificado deberá llevar la fecha de ejecución, así
como la indicación de la empresa con la firma correspondiente.
En el caso de que la reparación no sea realizada por el fabricante, los productos reparados
deberán obtener adicionalmente una identificación por parte del técnico de servicio.
Intervenciones o modificaciones inadecuadas realizadas por terceros durante el plazo prescriptivo implicarán la pérdida de todo derecho de prestaciones por razones de garantía. Acciones
no autorizadas en el producto conducen a la pérdida del derecho de hacer efectiva una responsabilidad frente a Gebrüder Martin.

Elimine este producto exclusivamente en conformidad con las disposiciones locales sobre
aparatos electrónicos.
Indicaciones generales de seguridad
No ilumine directamente los ojos del paciente con esta lámpara frontal. No sostenga nunca
lupas u otros sistemas ópticos delante de la lámpara frontal.
¡Peligro de deslumbramiento!
La fuente de luz LED posee una alta intensidad y un alto potencial de peligro secundario
debido a su efecto deslumbrante. Se pueden producir perjuicios temporales de la agudeza
visual e imágenes residuales que en determinadas circunstancias pueden provocar
irritaciones, trastornos de la vista e incluso accidentes.
Uso seguro
Desconecte el aparato cuando no lo utilice. La pantalla de la lámpara frontal no se puede cubrir
con un paño u otro material similar durante el uso, ya que en este caso podría calentarse
indebidamente.
Indicación general de uso
En caso de dudas sobre el uso, diríjase al fabricante o a su distribuidor autorizado.
Aviso sobre aplicaciones odontológicas
Probablemente tenga que utilizar un filtro amarillo para evitar un endurecimiento prematuro

Indicaciones de carga
4.1
Tiempos de carga
•
Cargue las baterías entre 16 y 24 horas antes de la primera aplicación, y en los demás
casos durante 6 horas o por la noche.
Encontrará más información en los capítulos 6 "Uso de la batería" (página 41) y 9
"Instrucciones de uso del reóstato" (página 44).
4.2
Carga con el cargador
•
El cargador se encuentra en el maletín de la lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Enchufe el conector micro USB B (2) del cable de carga en el puerto (3) situado debajo de
la batería izquierda.
•
Enchufe el conector USB (1) del cable de carga en el puerto USB (4) de la unidad de
alimentación enchufable.
•
Conecte la unidad de alimentación enchufable a una caja de enchufe.
•
Como alternativa, puede cargar las baterías enchufando el conector USB del cable de carga
en un puerto USB de un PC.

4.3
Indicaciones de carga
•
Cargue las baterías cuando no se esté utilizando el aparato. Saque las baterías antes de un
almacenamiento prolongado. Las baterías pierden capacidad con el paso del tiempo.
•
Desconecte el aparato durante la carga (palanca totalmente hacia abajo).
•
Para la carga, utilice solo el cargador especial para la lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire®.
•
La conexión del cargador (puerto USB situado bajo la batería izquierda) carga todas las
baterías colocadas, es decir, a ambos lados. El cargador puede variar según los números
de serie y lote.
Para evitar daños personales y materiales debidos a descargas eléctricas o al fuego:
•
Utilice la lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire® exclusivamente con las baterías y el cargador
incluidos.
•
La batería no se puede abrir, arrojar al fuego para su eliminación, colocar invertida o
mezclar con otros tipos de baterías cortocircuitadas, ya que podría inflamarse, explotar,
perder líquido o calentarse por encima de los 100 °C y causar así lesiones.
•
No emplee baterías dañadas o que pierdan líquido. Elimínelas conforme a las normativas
vigentes correspondientes.
•
Utilice el cargador solamente en lugares secos. Mantenga el aparato alejado de la lluvia,
la nieve o la humedad excesiva.
•
No conecte nunca cargadores a un cable alargador.
•
No utilice el cargador si está dañado.
•
Desconecte el aparato de la red antes de realizar en él tareas de mantenimiento o
limpieza.

Funcionamiento
Por favor, lea detenidamente el capítulo 4 "Indicaciones de carga" (página 38) antes de seguir
estas instrucciones de uso:
•
Ajuste la cinta al tamaño de su cabeza. Para ello, coloque
el aparato en la cabeza y ajuste su anchura girando el
botón trasero y la altura ajustando del cierre de velcro
superior (1).
•
Conecte el aparato girando un poco la palanca (2) hacia
arriba. Mire hacia abajo mientras la lámpara frontal se
encuentra en su cabeza y ajuste el nivel de brillo deseado
girando la palanca (2) todo lo necesario hacia arriba.
•
Ajuste la dirección del rayo de luz con ayuda de la bisagra
(3) de la lámpara frontal.
•
Ajuste el tamaño del campo de luz con ayuda del
regulador situado en la parte superior de la carcasa de la
lámpara (4).
INDICACIÓN
Riesgo de lesiones en los ojos
No ilumine directamente sus ojos con la lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire®. Si el rayo de luz
se dirige directamente a sus ojos, gire el botón hacia afuera del rayo de luz.

Uso de la batería
La lámpara frontal MedLED Sapphire® está provista de un indicador del estado de carga, dos
baterías que se pueden sustituir sin interrumpir el funcionamiento y una conexión central de
carga que suministra a ambas baterías.
•
Cargue las baterías entre 16 y 24 horas antes de la primera aplicación, y en los demás
casos durante 6 horas.
Los siguientes puntos le ayudarán a cargar correctamente la lámpara frontal MedLED
Sapphire®, de modo que pueda obtener de ella un máximo rendimiento.
6.1
Indicador del estado de carga de la batería
En la batería izquierda se encuentran cinco LED de estado verdes (1) – (5). Cada LED de
estado se corresponde con una parte del tiempo restante de la batería.
INDICACIÓN
Imprecisiones del indicador
De vez en cuando, el dispositivo de medición lee el estado de carga de forma imprecisa. Por
ello, se recomienda respetar los tiempos de carga (véase capítulo 4.1 "Tiempos de carga",

Sustitución de las baterías
INDICACIÓN
Vida útil de la batería
Durante el proceso de carga, las baterías deben deslizarse por completo en los
compartimentos de la cinta. Si resulta difícil introducir o extraer las baterías, es probable que
estas hayan alcanzado el final de su vida útil. Póngase en contacto con su representante
comercial para adquirir baterías de repuesto y elimine las baterías usadas conforme a las
normativas vigentes correspondientes.
Para cambiar las baterías, extráigalas con cuidado de los compartimentos de la cinta. Si las
baterías no se retiran y colocan con cuidado, el aparato puede resultar dañado
permanentemente. Asegúrese de que, al introducir la batería, los cuatro contactos dorados
apunten hacia adelante con las etiquetas hacia dentro.

Sustitución de las baterías
Para un rendimiento óptimo se recomienda sustituir las baterías cada 12–24 meses. Elimine las
baterías usadas de inmediato y de forma reglamentaria.

Instrucciones generales para el cuidado del aparato
Limpieza
La carcasa del instrumento se puede limpiar con un paño suave humedecido con alcohol o una
solución desinfectante no agresiva. No la sumerja en desinfectante ni la rocíe con él. Las
bandas negras acolchadas se pueden retirar para la limpieza separando los botones de cierre a
presión. Sin embargo, recomendamos dejar puestos los acolchados durante la limpieza. Los
acolchados se pueden limpiar del mismo modo. Tampoco los sumerja en desinfectante ni los
rocíe con él.

Instrucciones de uso del reóstato
En el MedLED Sapphire®, el reóstato (1) se encuentra sobre su oreja derecha. Podrá ajustar
sin escalonamientos la potencia deseada entre la desconexion (palanca totalmente hacia
abajo) y la potencia máxima (palanca totalmente hacia arriba).

Consignes importantes de sécurité
Un non-respect de la présente notice d'utilisation peut entraîner des blessures, des
conséquences imprévues dues à une utilisation abusive, une panne du produit ainsi qu'une
annulation du droit à la garantie. Veuillez lire attentivement la présente notice d'instructions
avant d'utiliser la lampe frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire® et la conserver en lieu sûr pour
toute consultation ultérieure.
Mise au rebut
Veuillez uniquement éliminer ce produit conformément aux dispositions locales relatives aux
appareils électroniques.
Sécurité générale
Veillez à ne pas orienter la lampe frontale directement dans les yeux du patient. Ne tenez
jamais de loupes ou d'autres objets optiques devant la lampe frontale.
Risque d'éblouissement!
La source de lumière à LED diffuse une lumière intense et présente, du fait de son effet
éblouissant, un risque potentiel secondaire élevé. Il peut en résulter une dégradation
temporaire de l'acuité visuelle ainsi qu'une apparition de post-images pouvant, selon la
situation, être à l'origine d'irritations, d'énervements, de troubles visuels et même
d'accidents.
Utilisation sûre
Éteignez l'appareil lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas. Ne pas recouvrir l'écran de la lampe frontale
d'un chiffon ou d'un objet semblable durant son utilisation afin d'éviter qu'elle ne chauffe.
Consigne générale d'utilisation
Veuillez contacter le fabricant ou votre revendeur agréé lorsque des doutes subsistent quant à
l'utilisation.
Consigne relative aux applications dentaires
Vous serez éventuellement amené à utiliser un filtre jaune afin d'empêcher tout durcissement
prématuré du matériau composite.

Instructions relatives au chargement
4.1
Temps de chargement
•
Chargez les accus pendant 16 à 24 heures avant la première utilisation, pendant 6 heures
le reste du temps ou durant la nuit.
Vous trouverez davantage d'informations au chapitre 6 "Utilisation des accus", page 54 et au
chapitre 9 "Notice d'utilisation du rhéostat", page 57.
4.2
Chargement à l'aide du chargeur
•
Le chargeur se trouve dans le coffret de la lampe frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Insérez le connecteur USB Mikro B (2) du câble de chargement dans la prise femelle (3)
située en dessous du bloc d'accus gauche.
•
Insérez le connecteur USB (1) du câble de chargement dans la prise femelle USB (4) du
bloc d'alimentation secteur.
•
Insérez le bloc d'alimentation secteur dans la prise de courant.
•
Vous avez également la possibilité de charger les accus en insérant le connecteur USB du
câble de chargement dans la prise femelle USB d'un PC.

Consignes relatives au chargement
•
Charger les accus lorsque l'appareil n'est pas en service. Évitez de stocker les accus durant
une période prolongée. La capacité des accus diminue au fil du temps.
•
Éteignez l'appareil durant le chargement (levier tourné entièrement vers le bas).
•
Pour procéder au chargement, veuillez uniquement utiliser le chargeur de la lampe frontale
à LED MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Le raccord du chargeur (prise femelle USB située sous le bloc d'accus gauche) permet de
charger l'ensemble des accus insérés, des deux côtés donc. Le chargeur peut varier en
fonction du numéro de série et de lot.
Que faire pour éviter les dommages corporels et matériels via choc électrique ou
incendie p. ex.?
•
Veuillez uniquement utiliser les accus et chargeurs fournis pour faire fonctionner la lampe
frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Ne jamais ouvrir l'accu, le jeter au feu pour l'éliminer, l'insérer de manière inversée ou le
mélanger avec des accus usagés, court-circuités ou des accus autres – il risquerait en
effet de s'enflammer, d'exploser, de fuir ou de se chauffer au-delà de 100°C et
occasionner ainsi des blessures.
•
N'utilisez aucun accu endommagé ou présentant des fuites. Veuillez les éliminer dans le
respect des prescriptions en vigueur.
•
Utilisez uniquement le chargeur en lieu sec. N'exposez jamais l'appareil à la pluie, à la
neige ou toute humidité excessive.
•
Ne reliez jamais les chargeurs à une rallonge.
•
N'utilisez pas le chargeur lorsque celui-ci est endommagé.
•
Débranchez l'appareil avant de procéder à sa maintenance ou de le nettoyer.

Commande
Veuillez lire le chapitre 4 "Instructions relatives au chargement", page 51 avant de suivre la
présente notice d'utilisation:
•
Adaptez le bandeau à la taille de votre tête. Placez pour
cela l'appareil sur votre tête et adaptez sa largeur en
tournant le bouton arrière et sa hauteur en adaptant la
fermeture velcro supérieure (1).
•
Allumez l'appareil en tournant légèrement le levier (2)
vers le haut. Regardez vers le bas, lampe frontale posée
sur votre tête, et procédez au réglage de la luminosité
souhaitée en tournant le levier (2) autant que nécessaire
vers le haut.
•
Réglez l'orientation du rayon de lumière à l'aide des
charnières mobiles (3) de la lampe frontale.
•
Réglez la taille du champ lumineux à l'aide du régleur
situé sur la partie supérieure du boîtier de la lampe (4).
REMARQUE
Risque de dommages pour les yeux
N'orientez jamais la lampe frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire® directement sur vos yeux.
Lorsque le rayon lumineux est directement orienté sur vos yeux, tournez immédiatement la
tête.

Utilisation des accus
La lampe frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire® est équipée d'un indicateur de charge, d'une prise
de chargement centrale alimentant les deux accus et d'accus compatibles Hot Swap faciles à
utiliser.
•
Chargez les accus pendant 16 à 24 heures avant la première utilisation, pendant 6 heures
le reste du temps.
Les points mentionnés ci-dessous sont censés vous aider à charger correctement la lampe
frontale à LED MedLED Sapphire® de manière à ce que vous puissiez bénéficier d'une
performance maximale.
6.1
Affichage du niveau de chargement des accus
Le bloc d'accus gauche est équipé de 5 LED de statut vertes (1) – (5). Chaque LED de statut
correspond à une partie de la durée de fonctionnement restante des accus.
REMARQUE
Imprécisions au niveau de l'affichage
Il peut arriver que l'appareil de mesure lise l'état de charge de manière imprécise. Il est par
conséquent recommandé de respecter les temps de chargement (voir chapitre 4.1 "Temps de
chargement", page 51) ainsi que les consignes de chargement (voir chapitre 4.3 "Consignes
relatives au chargement", page 52).

Remplacement des accus
REMARQUE
Durée de vie des accus
Durant le processus de chargement, veiller à ce que les accus soient entièrement insérés
dans les compartiments à accumulateurs du bandeau. Si les accus s'insèrent ou se retirent
difficilement, ils ont sans doute atteint la fin de leur cycle de vie. Contactez votre revendeur
pour faire l'acquisition d'accus de rechange et éliminez les accus usagés conformément aux
prescriptions en vigueur en matière d'élimination.
Pour remplacer les accus, veuillez les retirer avec précaution des compartiments du bandeau.
Si les accus ne sont pas insérés ou retirés avec précaution, vous risquez d'endommager
durablement l'appareil. Lors de l'insertion des accus, veuillez-vous assurer que les que les
contacts dorés soient orientés vers l'avant et les étiquettes vers l'arrière.
6.3
Remplacement des accus
Afin de garantir une performance optimale, il est recommandé de remplacer les accus tous les
12 – 24 mois. Éliminez les accus usagés immédiatement et de manière conforme.

Consignes générales d'entretien
Nettoyage
Le boîtier de l'instrument peut être nettoyé à l'aide d'un chiffon doux imbibé d'alcool ou de
désinfectant non agressif. Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans un produit désinfectant ou ne
pulvérisez jamais de désinfectant sur celui-ci. Pour le nettoyage, il est possible de retirer les
bandes rembourrées noires en défaisant les connexions à encliquetage. Nous recommandons
cependant de ne pas les retirer durant le nettoyage. Les rembourrages peuvent être nettoyés
de la même manière. Ne les plongez jamais dans un produit désinfectant ou ne les pulvérisez
jamais de désinfectant.

Avvertenze importanti:
Le operazioni di riparazione del prodotto possono essere effettuate esclusivamente da parte
dell’azienda Gebrüder Martin oppure da parte di personale o di una ditta espressamente autorizzati dall’azienda Gebrüder Martin.
Nel caso in cui la riparazione venga eseguita da parte di personale o di una ditta autorizzati
dall’azienda Gebrüder Martin, il gestore del prodotto è tenuto a farsi consegnare dal personale
di manutenzione un'attestazione relativa al tipo e all'entità della riparazione effettuata. Il certificato deve contenere la data di esecuzione della riparazione, nonché i dati relativi alla ditta e
la firma.
Qualora le operazioni di riparazione non vengano eseguite direttamente da parte del produttore, è inoltre indispensabile che i prodotti sottoposti a riparazione vengano dotati del contrassegno della ditta responsabile della riparazione.

Indicazioni relative alla istruzioni d’uso
In caso di mancata osservanza delle istruzioni per l’uso il paziente o l’operatore
possono riportare ferite gravi o addirittura mortali.
Fare quindi attenzione che le seguenti indicazioni vengano comprese e rispettate!
•
Ciascun utente deve leggere e osservare integralmente le istruzioni per l’uso.
•
In modo particolare occorre rispettare tutte le indicazioni relative alla precauzione, alla
cautela ed ai pericoli.
•
L’utente deve poter acceder in qualsiasi momento alle istruzioni per l’uso.
•
Spetta all'utente assicurarsi che il paziente sia stato informato sulle indicazioni d'uso,
precauzionali, di avvertimento e di pericolo riportate nelle presenti istruzioni per l'uso e che
le abbia correttamente comprese.
•
Il presente testo si riferisce in misura eguale a persone di entrambi i sessi. Si è rinunciato
intenzionalmente alla distinzione tra i sessi solamente ai fini di una migliore lettura del
testo.
AVVERTENZA
La lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® è un apparecchio a LED. Si prega di tenere presente
che i LED emanano una luce fredda di colore bianco brillante, diversa rispetto a quella di altre
sorgenti luminose procedurali alternative. È bene quindi essere preparati alla differenza di
colore che i LED generano nell'area illuminata.

Norme di sicurezza importanti
La mancata osservanza delle presenti istruzioni per l'uso, estremamente importanti, può
causare lesioni, conseguenze impreviste dovute ad un uso indebito, guasti al prodotto nonché
il decadimento del diritto alla garanzia. Leggere attentamente le istruzioni per l'uso prima di
utilizzare la lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® e conservarle in un luogo sicuro per eventuali
consultazioni future.
Smaltimento
Smaltire il prodotto come apparecchio elettronico conformemente alle disposizioni locali.
Sicurezza generale
Non rivolgere il raggio luminoso della lampada frontale direttamente negli occhi del paziente.
Non tenere mai lenti d'ingrandimento o altri sistemi ottici davanti alla lampada frontale.
Pericolo di abbagliamento!
La sorgente luminosa a LED è intensa e possiede un potenziale di rischio secondario elevato
per via dell'effetto abbagliante. Può causare una temporanea riduzione dell'acuità visiva e la
visione di immagini postume, con conseguenti irritazioni, fastidi, disturbi della vista e persino
incidenti a seconda della situazione.
Utilizzo sicuro
Spegnere l'apparecchio quando non viene utilizzato. Durante l'uso evitare di coprire il vetro
della lampada frontale con un panno o materiale simile, in quanto potrebbe diventare
spiacevolmente caldo.
Avvertenza d'uso generale
In caso di dubbi concernenti l'utilizzo dell'apparecchio rivolgersi al produttore o al proprio
rivenditore autorizzato.
Avvertenza per l'uso in campo dentistico
È possibile che si debba utilizzare un filtro giallo per evitare un indurimento precoce del
materiale composito.

Istruzioni di carica
4.1
Tempi di carica
•
Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchio per la prima volta caricare le batterie per 16 – 24 ore,
altrimenti per 6 ore oppure tutta la notte.

4.2
Utilizzo del caricabatterie
•
Il caricabatterie è compreso nella fornitura della lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire®.
•
Inserire il connettore USB Micro-B (2) del cavo di carica nella presa (3) sotto la batteria
sinistra.
•
Inserire il connettore USB (1) del cavo di carica nella presa USB (4) dell'alimentatore a
spina.
•
Inserire la spina dell'alimentatore in una presa di corrente.
•
In alternativa è possibile caricare le batterie inserendo il connettore USB del cavo di carica
in una presa USB di un computer.

4.3
Avvertenze sulla carica
•
Caricare le batterie quando l'apparecchio non viene utilizzato. Rimuovere le batterie prima
di riporre l'apparecchio per periodi prolungati. Con il tempo le batterie perdono di capacità.
•
Spegnere l'apparecchio durante la carica (levetta completamente verso il basso).
•
Utilizzare esclusivamente il caricabatterie fornito con la lampada frontale MedLED
Sapphire®.
•
La presa di collegamento del caricabatterie (presa USB sotto la batteria sinistra) serve a
caricare tutte le batterie inserite, cioè su entrambi i lati. Il caricabatterie può variare a
seconda del numero di serie e del numero di lotto.
Per evitare lesioni personali e danni materiali dovuti ad es. a scossa elettrica o
incendio:
•
Per il funzionamento della lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® utilizzare esclusivamente
le batterie e i caricabatterie inclusi nella fornitura.
•
Le batterie non devono essere aperte né bruciate per lo smaltimento, inserite a rovescio o
utilizzate congiuntamente a batterie usate, di tipo diverso o cortocircuitate. In caso
contrario potrebbero incendiarsi, esplodere, perdere liquido o surriscaldarsi oltre 100 °C
provocando lesioni.
•
Non utilizzare batterie danneggiate o che perdono liquido. Smaltirle conformemente alle
norme di smaltimento vigenti.
•
Utilizzare il caricabatterie soltanto in luoghi asciutti. Tenere l'apparecchio lontano da
pioggia, neve o umidità eccessiva.
•
Non collegare mai i caricabatterie a una prolunga.
•
Non utilizzare il caricabatterie se danneggiato.
•
Scollegare l'apparecchio dalla rete prima di eseguire la manutenzione o la pulizia.

Impiego
Leggere il Capitolo 4 "Istruzioni di carica", pagina 63 prima di seguire le presenti istruzioni per
l'uso:
•
Regolare la fascia frontale in base alle dimensioni della
testa. A tal proposito posizionare l'apparecchio sulla testa
e adattarne la larghezza ruotando la manopola posteriore
e l'altezza adattando la chiusura con velcro superiore (1).
•
Accendere l'apparecchio ruotando leggermente la levetta
(2) verso l'alto. Con la lampada frontale posizionata in
testa guardare in basso e regolare il livello di luminosità
desiderato ruotando la levetta (2) verso l'alto quel tanto
che basta.
•
Regolare la direzione del raggio luminoso con l'ausilio
delle cerniere mobili (3) della lampada frontale.
•
Regolare la grandezza del campo di luce con l'ausilio del
dispositivo di regolazione in alto sul corpo della lampada
(4).
AVVERTENZA
Rischio di lesioni oculari
Non rivolgere il raggio luminoso della lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® direttamente negli
occhi. Qualora dovesse accadere, volgere la testa altrove.

Utilizzo delle batterie
La lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® è dotata di un indicatore dello stato di carica, una
presa di carica centralizzata per l'alimentazione di entrambe le batterie nonché di pratiche
batterie hot swap.
•
Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchio per la prima volta caricare le batterie per 16 – 24 ore,
altrimenti per 6 ore.
I punti riportati di seguito suggeriscono come caricare correttamente la lampada frontale
MedLED Sapphire® in modo tale da poterla utilizzare alla massima potenza.
6.1
Indicatore dello stato di carica delle batterie
Sulla batteria sinistra si trovano cinque LED di stato verdi (1) – (5). Ogni LED di stato
corrisponde a parte dell'autonomia residua delle batterie.
AVVERTENZA
Inesattezze dell'indicatore
Di tanto in tanto lo strumento di misura legge lo stato di carica in modo inesatto. Si consiglia
quindi di osservare i tempi di carica (vedere Capitolo 4.1 "Tempi di carica", pagina 63) e le
avvertenze sulla carica (vedere Capitolo 4.3 "Avvertenze sulla carica", pagina 65).

6.2
Sostituzione delle batterie
AVVERTENZA
Durata delle batterie
Durante il processo di carica le batterie devono essere completamente inserite nei vani
batteria della fascia frontale. Qualora risulti difficile inserire o rimuovere le batterie, significa
probabilmente che queste hanno raggiunto la fine del loro ciclo di vita. Contattare il proprio
rappresentante per l'acquisto di batterie sostitutive e smaltire le batterie esauste
conformemente alle norme di smaltimento vigenti.
Per sostituire le batterie, estrarle con cautela dai vani batteria della fascia frontale. Se le
batterie non vengono estratte e inserite con prudenza, l'apparecchio può subire danni
permanenti. Durante l'inserimento delle batterie assicurarsi che i quattro contatti dorati siano
rivolti in avanti con le etichette verso l'interno.
6.3
Sostituzione delle batterie
Ai fini di un rendimento ottimale si consiglia di sostituire le batterie ogni 12 – 24 mesi.
Smaltire le batterie esauste immediatamente e in conformità alla normativa vigente.

Istruzioni di cura generali
Pulizia
Il corpo dello strumento può essere pulito con un panno morbido bagnato con alcool o con una
soluzione disinfettante non aggressiva. Non immergerlo né spruzzarlo con il disinfettante. Le
fasce imbottite nere possono essere rimosse per la pulizia aprendo i collegamenti a scatto.
Tuttavia, si consiglia di effettuare la pulizia con le imbottiture applicate. Il metodo di pulizia per
le imbottiture è lo stesso. Come per il resto dello strumento, non immergerle né spruzzarle con
il disinfettante.

Istruzioni per l'uso del reostato
Il reostato (1) si trova sulla lampada frontale MedLED Sapphire® sopra l'orecchio destro.
Consente di regolare in continuo qualsiasi potenza desiderata compresa tra Off (levetta in
basso) e Massima potenza (levetta completamente in alto).
