Living Stations presented by the Total Youth Ministry will be held on March 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the church. MORNING PRAYER - We will incorporate Morning Prayer into the 6:30am and 8:15am daily masses. The “Shorter Christian Prayer” books are available for $20 at the parish office. HOLY YEAR OF MERCY RECONCILIATION SERVICEConfession will be held March 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. LADIES RETREAT - March 4-6th at Visitation Monastery with retreat master Fr. Madden. PARISH RECONCILIATION SERVICE- Tuesday, March 15th, at 6:30p.m. We will combine the Holy Hour and Reconciliation Service and then follow with individual confessions. LENTEN REGULATIONS Lenten Regula ons: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast. One full meal and two lesser meals are allowed. NO eating between meals. Catholics from ages 18-60yrs. are bound by this law. Ash Wednesday and all of the Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence. NO meat is allowed. All Catholics who have completed their 14th year and older are bound by this law. August February16-August 28—March22 5 OUR SEMINARIAN Recently, the seminarians of our diocese were asked if they needed anything. Their overwhelming request was to be remembered in prayer by each person in the diocese. Each parish has been assigned a seminarian to pray for and the young man for St. Mary Church is John Daniel. The diocese also asks that we keep all the seminarians in our prayers. In the narthex of the church you will find a board with all the seminarians pictures and a special prayer that can be said for them. Also if you want to contact John Daniel, you can do so at [email protected]. The emails for the other seminarians can be found on the board in the narthex. SAINT MARY CHURCH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN The St. Mary CCW will meet Friday, March 4th at 9:15 a.m. in the PLC Café. The program features Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriff Ashley Bailey sharing information on women’s safety. Preceding the meeting, there will be the Holy Rosary at 7:40a.m and Mass at 8:15a.m. in the church. The Little Red Wagon item this month is boxed pasta. CCW EVENING GROUP The CCW Evening Group will meet March 4th at 5:30 p.m. for an hour of Adoration in the Chapel. Then, we go out for a fish dinner, fellowship, and an update on Council happenings. We will continue our Lenten Novena until Holy Thursday. SEW DAY MONDAY, MARCH 7, 2016 The Sew Day for the Li le Dresses for Africa will be held on Monday, March 7th at the PLC from 12 noon un l 5:00 p.m. You can stay a few hours or the whole me. Volunteers are needed for this project. We need you whether you can sew or not. New or gently used pillowcases of all sizes and colors and 2 ½ yard double fold bias tape (all colors) may be dropped off at the PLC or contact Vivian Green at 862-9704. Dear Men & Women of the Parish, The Men & Women’s CRHP Planning Teams are praying that your hearts and minds will be open to the possibility of participating in our parish’s Spring CRHP retreats. The men will meet April 2/3 and the women April 24/25. CALLING ALL CATHOLIC WOMEN The Pensacola-Tallahassee Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (CCW) will be holding their 41st Annual Conven on, Catholic Women Fully Alive in the Spirit, April 14-16 at the Sandes n Golf & Beach Resort-Bayside. Keynote speaker is Jane Carter, a creator of the NCCW Leadership Development Program and an inspiring woman who exemplifies this year’s theme. These three days are filled with speakers, workshops, liturgies, prayer, fellowship, fun and the presenta on of the annual Burse Club check to Bishop Parkes. All women of the diocese, whether a CCW member or not, are encouraged to a end. Registra on deadline is April 7th. Checks must be made to DCCR. CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL The school will be administering their Placement Test for students who want to register as Freshman for the 20162017 school year. The Placement Test will be given at 8:00a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in the CHS Media Center . The test will end by 11:30 a.m. Students should bring a completed Placement Test Pre-Registration Form (available on the Catholic High School website-www.pensacolachs.org), two #2 pencils, and the $15 test fee. Students will need to register for the Placement Test by contacting the CHS Guidance Department at 850-436-6400 ext. 122. Our Lady of Fatima Statue The Fa ma statue will be in the home of Canty and Chantal Grey this week. Llegaron por medio de un caudillo, Moisés, que cuando niño fue salvado de las aguas del Nilo, y ahora estaba pastoreando las ovejas de su suegro en el desierto. La zarza que ardía sin consumirse nos muestra que Dios es un misterio inagotable. El temor y respeto de Moisés están mezclados con una confianza conmovedora, cuando trata de averiguar el Nombre del Señor. Y Dios le responde dulcemente con un Nombre -YO SOY- que distingue al Dios de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob de los diosecitos de las naciones, que "no-son". Esos diosecitos de nada son impotentes e inútiles. Moisés tiene que avanzar hacia un futuro increíble, y Dios lo espera allí con mano poderosa y brazo extendido.
