The Intermountain Catholic Quota for October 2016 to
September 2017 is 700 subscribers. The individual subscription
rate this year will remain the same: $25.00. The amount the
parish will pay this for subscriptions is $17,500. Please send your
$25.00 to Saint Rose or place it in the Collection Basket.

Do you know that Catholics contribute about half as much to
their parish as Protestants contribute to their congregations (1.1 to
1.2 percent of household income for Catholics, 2.2 to 2.5 percent
for Protestants). To put this in context, if the typical Catholic
household contributed at the same rate as the typical Protestant
household U.S. Catholic parishes would receive an additional $8
billion in contributions annually. Or to put it another way, each
parish would see its annual contributions double.

Lord to serve in ministry. We are asking all of you to pray and
reflect to see if you have a call to serve as a Lector, Eucharistic
Minister, Choir member, Cantor, Ministry of Hospitality and Altar
Server. We are in need of your service in our liturgies. If you are

Due to the addition of the Life Teen Mass at 6pm on
Sundays, we now have weekend Masses available at that
time. If you would like to request a Mass, please come to
the office and request the 6pm Mass.

We are now accepting Mass Intentions for 2017. If you are
interested in having a Mass Intention on a special day, please
come to the office and fill out a form. All Mass Intentions must
be paid for at the time of request. A Mass Intention is ten dollars
per Mass. Masses are filled on a first come; first served basis,
so if you want that special day come early. Weekends are
usually the first Masses to go. Just a reminder that if we have a
funeral scheduled the day you requested, you will be contacted
and your Mass Intention will be rescheduled. If you have any

Final/Late Registrations
for Christian Formation Classes
Parents and Guardians, Christian Formation will have final/late
registrations for families that still have not enrolled for the year
2016-2017 of Christian formation.
Final/Late Registrations begin Monday, September 19th and
ends Tuesday, September 27th, on Mondays and Tuesdays
only from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Education Center.
Registrations will not be taken
the first week of school.
Registration Fees and Requirements:
 Tuition is $40.00 per student and $95.00 for three or more
children. Payment is due at the time of registration. There
is a $5.00 fee per student added at Final/late registrations,
unless you are new to the parish. If there is difficulties
with payment contact Kristie Ruth, Director, at 801-9289437 or email her at [email protected].
 Copy of Birth Certificate
 Copies of all Sacramental Certificates
 Preschool students must be 4 years old by September
14th to enroll.
 Students preparing for a Sacrament, who have attended
classes last year at another parish, are required to have a
letter from that parish stating their attendance, grade and
course of study.
 YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED PARISHONER AT SAINT ROSE
OF LIMA TO ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN IN CHRISTIAN
FORMATION. To register in the parish please come to the
office, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. If you are
unavailable during parish office hours, special
arrangements can be made after hours, contact the office
at 801-544-4269. CHRISTIAN FORMATION ENROLLMENTS
WILL NOT BE TAKEN IN THE PARISH OFFICE.
The 2016 Diocesan Development Drive funds
ministries in the areas of charity,
evangelization and worship
The DDD impacts each parishioner and visitor to our
Diocese every week through the area of worship. In
addition to the ongoing formation of the Priests and
Deacons currently serving in our Diocese, the DDD funds
education for our future Priests and Deacons. The DDD
also supports three college Campus Newman Centers.
Please take some time to prayerfully consider your gift to
the 2016 DDD. Remember no gift is too small.

para Clases de Formación Cristiana
Padres y tutor legal, Formación Cristina va a llevar a cabo las
últimas inscripciones, después de inicio de clases. Para familias
que todavía no se han matriculado para el año 2016-2017 de
Formación Cristiana
Las ultimas inscripciones se llevaran a cabo después de
inicio de clases desde lunes, 19 de Septiembre y terminan
martes, 27 de Septiembre, solamente los lunes y los martes
de 5:00pm-7:00pm en el Centro de Educación.
No se realizarán inscripciones
las primeras dos semanas de clases.
Costo de Inscripción y Requisitos:

La inscripción es de $40.00 por estudiante y $95.00 por tres o
más estudiantes. El pago se tendrá que hacer en el momento
de la inscripción. Inscripciones después de inicio de clases
tendrán un costo extra de $5.00. A excepción sea un nuevo

Fondos ministeriales en las áreas de caridad,
evangelización y adoración de la
Campaña de Desarrollo Diocesano 2016
Cada semana a través del área de la adoración, el DDD
impacta a cada feligrés y visitante a nuestra Diócesis.
Además de apoyar la continua formación de los Sacerdotes
y Diáconos que sirven actualmente en nuestra diócesis,
estos fondos de educación de DDD también apoyan a
nuestros futuros Sacerdotes y Diáconos. El DDD también
apoya tres Campus Newman Centers. Por favor tome un
momento en oración y considere hacer su donación al DDD
del 2016. Recuerde que cualquier donación no es
demasiado pequeño.

Please come and join Catholic Conversations this week for our
guest speaker Dennis Kelsch, the Director of Homeless Services
for Catholic Community Services of Utah. His topic is "Mercy is
a Verb, not a noun" and the discussion will include Pope
Francis' comments on mercy and the work of Catholic
Community Services in response to the call to mercy.
Come share in the conversation. We will meet in the Social
Center on Thursday September 15th at 6:30pm. Please bring a
dish to share and your enthusiasm.

Cub Scout Pack 86 will be having their annual family bingo on
Friday, September 16th at 6:00pm in the Social Center. Come
join us for fun, good food, and prizes. The cost is $7 per person.
Children 4 and under get in FREE! We will also be having a
balloon pop for $5. Tickets will be sold after all Masses. Tickets

The Knights of Columbus are having their annual “Coats for Kids”
Drive. Please donate money, coats or both. We accept used
coats, gloves, hats, scarves etc. This will continue until the end of
September. All money goes to purchase new coats. Any questions
