Saludo al XIX Congreso del Partido Comunista de Grecia
Estimados camaradas:
reciban un fraternal y caluroso saludo internacionalista y proletario de los y las comunistas de
España, en nombre del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de los Pueblos de España y en el
mío propio.
Su 19 Congreso es un acontecimiento muy importante para la clase obrera y el pueblo
trabajador de Grecia pero, al mismo tiempo, es un evento muy importante para el conjunto del
Movimiento Comunista Internacional, puesto que su ejemplo de lucha, de valentía y de
claridad ideológica es admirado y estudiado por los y las comunistas de muchos otros países.
No es ningún secreto que la crisis capitalista está situando a los y las comunistas ante un
desafío de gran importancia. Nos encontramos en un momento en que el sistema capitalista en
su conjunto está dando muestras de sus límites históricos, un momento en el que las
enseñanzas de Marx, Engels y Lenin se están viendo demostradas con absoluta claridad ante
los ojos de la clase obrera y los sectores populares en Grecia, en España y en muchos otros
países. Es un momento en el que los y las comunistas tenemos que poner todo nuestro
esfuerzo, todo nuestro trabajo, en desarrollar al máximo la lucha de masas contra el poder de
la oligarquía y de los monopolios.
Al mismo tiempo, es en estos momentos cuando se recrudecen los ataques de nuestro
enemigo de clase contra nosotros, utilizando todos los medios a su alcance, promocionando a
organizaciones oportunistas y a organizaciones fascistas con el objetivo de apartar a la clase
obrera del único camino que garantiza su emancipación, que no es otro que el derrocamiento
del poder de los monopolios y la construcción del socialismo-comunismo.
¡No hay otro camino que la Revolución Socialista! ¡No hay otra alternativa que el poder obrero!
Esas son las directrices que han de guiar el trabajo de un Partido Comunista, los objetivos
estratégicos a los que no se puede renunciar jamás, a los que ninguna apuesta táctica debe
renunciar jamás, y sabemos perfectamente que son las directrices que guían el trabajo
cotidiano del Partido Comunista de Grecia.
Nos sentimos orgullosos de compartir muchos análisis y posiciones con ustedes a nivel
internacional. Defendemos la necesidad de que los partidos se mantengan firmes en la defensa
del marxismo-leninismo, del centralismo democrático, que se estrechen cada vez más los lazos
con las masas trabajadoras y que el Partido Comunista sea verdaderamente una organización
de la clase obrera, ajena a las trampas de la política burguesa. Estamos convencidos de que el
trabajo conjunto de nuestras organizaciones, junto con otras muchas, ayudará a clarificar las
posiciones en el Movimiento Comunista Internacional y a fortalecer las posiciones marxistasleninistas, particularmente en Europa, donde están seriamente amenazadas u olvidadas en
muchos partidos que han sido víctimas del triunfo de las posiciones oportunistas y revisionistas
y que se han convertido en meras comparsas de la socialdemocracia, llegando incluso a
participar en gobiernos que no hacen otra cosa más que gestionar las migajas del capitalismo.
Camaradas, me gustaría aprovechar la ocasión para saludar el inmenso trabajo colectivo que
su Partido ha realizado de cara a este 19 Congreso. Las tesis del Comité Central para el 19
Congreso son un documento de gran valor político-ideológico que serán muy útiles a otros
partidos comunistas y obreros para las luchas que enfrentamos.
Quiero, por último, enviar un caluroso saludo fraternal a todos aquellos camaradas que hoy en
Grecia afrontan juicios o que son perseguidos por el único delito de defender los derechos de la
clase obrera y de los sectores populares frente a los lacayos del capital. También, en nombre
de todos mis camaradas, un saludo de lucha, solidaridad y resistencia a todos los trabajadores

y trabajadoras de Grecia, indistintamente de su país de procedencia, que se oponen con sus
luchas diarias a los planes de la oligarquía para esclavizarnos y condenarnos a la miseria.
Camaradas, les deseamos todos los éxitos en este 19 Congreso.
Sepan que los y las comunistas de España están con ustedes.

Greeting message to the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of Greece
Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the Central Committe of the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain and my own
please receive the fraternal and warmest internationalist and proletarian salute from the
communists from Spain,
Your 19th Congress is a very important event for the working class and people of Greece but, at
the same time, it is a very important event for the whole International Communist Movement,
as your example of struggle, courage and ideological clarity is admired and studied by the
communists of many other countries.
It is no secret that the capitalis crisis is putting the communists in face of a very important
challenge. We live in a moment when the capitalist system as a whole is expressing its
historical limits, a moment when the teachings from Marx, Engels and Lenin are being
vindicated with absolute clarity in face of the eyes of the working class and the popular strata
of Greece, Spain and many other countries. This is a moment in which the communists have to
put all our efforts, all our work, in the maximum development of the mass struggle against the
power of the oligarchy and the monopolies.
At the same time, in moments like this one it is when the attacks of our class enemy against
us become more fierce, using all the means they can, promoting opportunist and fascist
organizations with the aim of detaching the working class from the only possible path that can
guarantee their emancipation, which is no other than the overthrow of the power of
monopolies and the construction of socialism-communism.
There is no other path than Socialist Revolution! There is no other alternative than workers'
power! These are the guidelines that must drive the work of a Communist Party, the strategic
goals we can never renounce to, the goals that no tactical choice should never make us
renounce to and we know perfectly that these are the guidelines that drive the daily work of
the Communist Party of Greece.
We are proud to share with you many analysis and positions at the international level. We both
defend the need for the parties to be firm in the defence of Marxism-Leninism, of democratic
centralism, to strengthen the ties with the toiling masses and to have a Communist Party
which is truly an organization of the working class, alien to the traps of bourgeois politics. We
are convinced that the joint work of our organizations, together with many others, will help to
clarify the positions in the International Communist Movement and to strengthen the MarxistLeninist positions, particularly in Europe, where they are serioulsly threat or forgotten in many
parties that have been victim of the triumph of the opportunist and revisionist policies and who
have become simple puppets of social-democracy, even participating in governments that do
nothing else but managing the leftovers of capitalism.
Comrades, I would like to take advantage of this moment to salute the immense collective
work that your Party has developed for this 19th Congress. The theses of the Central Committe
for the 19th Congress have a great political and ideological value and they will be very useful
for other communist and workers' parties in the struggles we are facing.
Finally, I would like to convey warm fraternal greetings to all those comrades in Greece who
are facing trials or are being persecuted for the only crime of defending the rights of the
working class and the popular strata against the lackeys of capital. At the same time, on behalf
of all my comrades, I convey greetings of struggle, solidarity and resistance to all the workers

in Greece, irrespective of their country of origin, who are opposing with their daily struggle the
plans of the oligarchy to enslave us and condemn us to misery.
Comrades, we wish you every success in this 19th Congress.
