160 p. bajos. Trab. encima 1 vta a p. cangrejo. Cortar el
hilo y rematar.
Coser uniendo los lados de cada pieza para formar el
bolso.
Con la aguja de ganchillo nº 6 mm. y col. marrón 19, trab.
sobre la parte superior del bolso 1 vta a p. bajo = 71 p.
bajos. Trab. encima 1 vta a p. cangrejo. Cortar el hilo y
rematar.
Coser cada extremo de una tira del asa por el interior a
la parte superior de la parte delantera del bolso (con el
bolsillo de cuadros) = a 7 p. desde cada costura lateral.
Coser la otra tira de la misma manera a la parte superior
de la parte trasera del bolso.
Coser el cierre a presión por el interior en el centro de la
parte superior del bolso.
NOTA: lavar en la lavadora a 40º con un programa largo.

CONFECCIÓN Y REMATE
Con la aguja de ganchillo nº 6 mm. y color turquesa 19,
trab. 1 vta a p. bajo sobre la parte superior del bolsillo
= 22 p. bajos. Trab. encima 1 vta a p. cangrejo con col.
turquesa. Cortar el hilo y rematar.
Coser el bolsillo de cuadros a una pieza col. marrón del
bolso, dejando la parte superior abierta = a 10 p. desde
cada lado y a 14 vtas desde el inicio de la pieza col.
marrón.
Con la aguja de ganchillo nº 6 mm. y col. marrón 19, trab.
en cada lateral de las tiras de los asas 1 vta a p. bajo =

INSTRUCTIONS
Using chestnut with knitting needles, cast on 44 sts. Work
St.St.
When piece measures 19 5/8” (50 cm), bind off (cast off)
all sts.
Make another piece the same.

FINISHING (MAKING UP)
Using turquoise with crochet hook, work 1 row in Single
Crochet along top edge of pocket [22 sc]. Then, using
turquoise, work 1 row in Backwards Crochet over previous
row. Cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew the pocket with squares to one chestnut piece of the
bag, leaving top part open, at 10 sts from each side and at
14 rows from the beginning of chestnut piece.
Using chestnut with crochet hook, work 1 row in Single
Crochet along each side of the shoulder straps [160 sc].
Then work 1 row in Backwards Crochet over previous row.
Cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew sides and lower edge of each piece together to form
bag.
Using chestnut with crochet hook, work 1 row in Single
Crochet over top edge of bag [71 sc]. Then work 1 row in
Backwards Crochet over previous row. Cut yarn, fasten off
and weave in ends.
Sew each end of one of the shoulder straps to the top
part of the front of the bag (the part with the pocket with
squares) on the inside, at 7 sts from each side seam.
Sew the other strap in the same way to the top part of the
back of the bag.
Sew snap fastener to inside in the center of upper part of
the bag.
NOTE: wash in washing machine at 40ºC/104ºF on a long
cycle. See page 31-32.

Shoulder straps:
Using chestnut with knitting needles, cast on 4 sts. Work
St.St.
When piece measures 53 1/8” (135 cm), bind off (cast off)
all sts.
Make another strap the same.
Pocket with squares:
Using fuchsia with knitting needles, cast on 7 sts, then
using green cast on 6 sts, using natural cast on 6 sts and
using turquoise cast on 7 sts [26 sts in total].
Work St.St for 10 rows with the above color distribution.
NOTE: when changing yarn, cross yarns on wrong side of
work to prevent holes.
Continue working St.St for 10 rows with the following
color distribution: 7 sts in green, 6 sts in natural, 6 sts in
turquoise and 7 sts in fuchsia.
Then work St.St for 10 rows with the following color
distribution: 7 sts in natural, 6 sts in turquoise, 6 sts in
fuchsia and 7 sts in green.
Then lastly work St.St for 10 rows with the following color
distribution: 7 sts in turquoise, 6 sts in fuchsia, 6 sts in
green and 7 sts in natural.
Bind off (cast off) all sts in the corresponding color.
