Las roturas de los dientes pueden
deberse a la práctica de deportes
llamados ”de contacto” y de deportes
sin contacto. Así, se producen roturas
dentales en la práctica de deportes tales
como boxeo, artes marciales, lucha
libre, rugby, baloncesto, hockey sobre
ruedas, hockey sobre hielo y hockey
sobre hierba (deportes de contacto).
El 83% de los accidentes bucales se
producen entre los dientes superiores
centrales y los incisivos.
Pero también se producen roturas por
ejemplo en el futbol, por choque contra
una portería. O en otros deportes como
equitación, motorismo, atletismo, balonmano, volleyball y un largo etcétera.
En realidad, los problemas no son
sólo de roturas de dientes, sino también
de heridas en encías, desplazamiento
de mandíbulas y desplazamiento de
dientes. El riesgo de sufrir accidentes
en la boca durante el deporte, depende
no sólo del tipo de deporte que se está
practicando, sino de la edad y experiencia del deportista, de su posición dentro
del equipo y cual sea la anatomía dental
de cada jugador, así como su género.
Pero con todo, el riesgo mayor con
que el deportista se enfrenta como
consecuencia de un golpe en la cara,
es la conmoción cerebral, como
lamentablemente hemos tenido que ver
en ocasiones, incluso en campos de
futbol. Efectivamente, el golpe recibido,
si no se ha prevenido con la protección
adecuada, se transmite desde el punto
de impacto directamente al cerebro, por
las mandíbulas. Los protectores bucales
ejercen la función preventiva necesaria
para intentar evitar esa transmisión,
absorbiendo el impacto que queda bloqueado en el protector bucal y evitando
su transmisión.
No todos los protectores bucales
ofrecen el mismo nivel de protección, ni
se comportan por igual ante cualquier
situación. Así mismo, el nivel de confort
puede variar enormemente, entre diferentes protectores bucales.
The breaking of a tooth can be due to
the practice of sports called “sports with
contact” and of sports without contact.

when practicing sports such as boxing,
martial arts, free-style wrestling, rugby,
basketball, roller wheels, ice hockey and

the same way in the front of any situation. Likewise, the level of comfort can
enormously vary, among different mouth
guards.

Ainsi, il y a des ruptures dentaires dans
la pratique de sports de tels comme
boxe, arts martiaux, lutte libre, rugby,
basket-ball, hockey sur roues, hockey
sur glace et hockey sur gazon (sports
de contact). Le 83% des accidents
buccaux sont causés entre les dents
supérieures centrales et les incisives.
Mais des ruptures se produisent aussi
par exemple dans le football, par choc
contre une loge. Ou dans d’autres
sports comme équitation, motocyclisme,
athlétisme, handball, volleyball et un
long etcetera.
En réalité, les problèmes ne sont
pas seulement les ruptures de dents,
mais aussi les plaies dans les gencives,
déplacement de mandibules et déplacement de dents. Le risque de souffrir des
accidents dans la bouche pendant le
sport, ne dépend pas seulement du type
de sport qui est pratiqué, mais de l’âge
et expérience du sportif, de sa position
dans l’équipe et l’anatomie dentaire
de chaque joueur, aussi bien que son
genre.
Mais tout ensemble, le risque le plus
grand que le sportif affronte comme
conséquence d’un coup dans le visage,
c’est la commotion cérébrale comme
lamentablement nous avons vu dans
des occasions, même dans les champs
de football. Effectivement, le coup reçu,
si on ne l’a pas prévu avec la protection adéquate, est transmis depuis le
point d’impact directement au cerveau,
par les mandibules. Les protecteurs
buccaux exercent la fonction préventive
nécessaire pour essayer d’éviter cette
transmission, en absorbant l’impact qui
semble bloqué dans le protecteur buccal et en évitant sa transmission.
Pas tous les protecteurs buccaux
offrent le même niveau de protection, ni
se comportent de la même façon devant
n’importe quelle situation. De même, le
niveau de confort peut varier énormément entre de différents protecteurs
buccaux.

Aber es ergeben sich auch Brüche zum
Beispiel beim Fuβball, wegen des Aufpralls gegen ein Tor. Oder bei anderen
Sportarten wie Reiten, Motorsport,
Leichtathletik, Handball, Volleyball und
so weiter.
In Wirklichkeit sind die Probleme
nicht nur Zahnbrüche, sondern auch
Verletzungen am Zahnfleisch, Kieferverschiebungen und Zahnverlagerungen.
Das Risiko während des Sporttreibens
einen Zahnunfall zu haben, hängt nicht
nur von der Sportart ab, die man gerade
macht, sondern auch vom Alter und der
Erfahrung des Sportlers, von seiner Position innerhalb der Mannschaft und von
der Zahnanatomie und dem Geschlecht
des Sportlers.
Trotzdem ist das gröβte Risiko, dem der
Sportler gegenübersteht, die Folge eines
Schlages ins Gesicht, EINE GEHIRNERSCHÜTTERUNG, wie wir das leider
sogar schon in Fuβballstadien sehen
mussten. Tatsächlich wird der bekommene Schlag, wenn nicht mit dem
geeigneten Schutz vorgebeugt wurde,
vom Aufprallpunkt direkt über das Kiefer
zum Gehirn übertragen. Der Zahnschutz
übt die nötige Vorbeugung aus, um
diese Übertragung zu vermeiden, indem
er den Aufprall absorbiert, der vom
Mundschutz abgefangen wurde, und so
ein Weiterleiten verhindert.
Nicht jeder Zahnschutz bietet den
gleichen Grad an Sicherheit, noch
verhalten sich alle gleich in verschiedenen Situationen. Ebenso kann das
Komfortniveau je nach Zahnschutz sehr
unterschiedlich sein.
