THE PASTOR
Happy New Year!
Today we begin Advent. Today we begin a new year in the church
calendar. It is a time for newness and change. Where will Jesus lead
us in this coming year? I don’t really know. But it will surely be a
wonderful adventure!
I think this coming year will be very exciting! I think our parish community will explode with all the energy and talent that we have. We must find new and creative ways to share with one another and with others outside our parish all
the wonderful gifts we have.
The key? We must do it together! We must do it in solidarity – a unity that respects and treasures our diversity. We
must be like the group of original disciples gathered around Jesus – ready to be sent out on mission. With the help of
the Holy Spirit every challenge will become a new opportunity.
I would like to personally encourage all English-speaking members of our community to participate in the annual
Christmas Concert and Party organized and presented by our own musical group, “Rivers of Living Water” on Saturday evening, December 3. It is particularly designed to entertain our children. There will be a sing-along of Christmas songs in English. There will be candy and food and fun. And there will be piñatas! I will be there! Will you!
I am coming home this week! I can hardly wait to get back. I have missed you all!

DE EL PASTOR
FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!
Hoy comenzamos el Adviento. Y también comenzamos un nuevo año en el
calendario Litúrgico de la Iglesia. Este es un tiempo de renovación y cambio. ¿ Dóde nos dirige Jesús en el año venidero? Realmente no lo sé. Pero
estoy seguro que será una aventura maravillosa.
¡Pienso que el año que viene será muy interesante! Creo que la comunidad
va a explotar con toda su energía y talentos que tenemos. Creo que encontraremos nuevas y creativas formas de compartir los unos con los otros fuera
de nuestra parroquia, todos los maravillosos dones que tenemos.
¿La clave? ¡Debemos hacerlo solidariamente! – en la unidad que respeta el tesoro de nuestra diversidad. Deberíamos
ser como el grupo original de apóstoles reúnidos alrededor de Jesús-listos para ser enviados a su misión. Con la ayuda
del Espíritu Santo cada desafío será una nueva oportunidad.
Personalmente quiero invitar a la comunidad de habla inglés a participar en el Concierto Navideño del Grupo Ríos de
Agua Viva, el Sábado 3 de Diciembre. El concierto está diseñado especialmente para entretener a nuestros niños.
Habrá musica Navideña en Inglés. Habrán dulces y diversión. ¡Y también habrá piñatas! ¡ Yo iré! ¿Irás Tú?
¡Regresaré esta semana! No me aguanto por regresar. ¡ Los he extrañado!
