We hope to re-schedule at a later date. ~THE HOLY DOOR~ The Celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis, begins on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. The Year of Mercy can be a time of great grace for all of us. During special Jubilee Years, members of the faithful are encouraged to pass through a Holy Door, such as the one in Rome, because it represents a pilgrimage for each of us, reminding us of the journey that we make in this life. There is a “Holy Door” at St. Eugene’s, which is reserved for occasions such as this. Although there are a number of churches within the diocese that have been designated as pilgrimage sites, the Cathedral will be the only venue within our diocese with a Holy Door through which Pilgrims may pass during this Jubilee year. Please join us at the 8:00 am Mass, Dec. 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Holy Day of Obligation), where we will begin with a procession and the opening of the Holy Door. The Holy Father, calls us all especially during this year, to examine our lives and renew our commitment to become actively involved in our local community and parish. After Mass, Women of The Word cordially invite all to attend a breakfast and a reflection on the Year of Mercy with Bishop Vasa in the Brinker room of the Becker Center. The program ends with a mini-boutique. Please join us! For more information, phone Ellen 539-2772. Please see our calendar for more Mass times. ~OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE~ Saturday, December 12th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. No niños.
