GOD’S HEALING JUSTICE
An old expression holds that the sun-warmed stone
heals. Perhaps. But Malachi explains that only dark, sunless
days are in store for those who do not find a place for God
in their lives. Conversely, he tells us that the warmth and
light of God’s healing justice await those who fear the Lord.
That’s a pretty comforting notion—especially now in the
already short and growing even shorter days of November.
It’s the sun-warmed stone, and then some.
Paul speaks to us of justice as well, but points out that it
is not a passive thing. To be treated justly, we need to do
our fair share. If we are diligent and persevere we will be
rewarded with and by the fruits of our labor. Lastly, Luke,
too, tells us to persevere—in faith, this time—and our lives
will be secure in God regardless of how we are treated by
our enemies.

WELCOME BISHOP TYSON!
This coming weekend, November 19th
and 20th, Bishop Tyson will be with us to
celebrate a special Installation Mass for
Father Mauricio. The bilingual Mass will
take place on Saturday at 5:30pm, with
the 7:00 pm Spanish Mass canceled until
the following week. Please help us welcome Bishop! Let’s thank him for sending
us Father Mauricio, who is a blessing to
our Parish.

AUCTION SUCCESS!!
THANKSGIVING MASS
The 33rd annual Saint Rose Catholic School grossed
nearly $162,000. More than 300 people gathered to
show their support for our school. Father Mauricio
said it best, “We are humbled by the generosity of this
amazing community.”
A special Mass will be celebrated on Thanksgiving
day at 9:00 am in English and at
11:00 am in Spanish at the Church.
Let us give thanks to God for the
many special blessings in our lives.
MASS FOR DECEASED PRIESTS
PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO HELP IN MASS
A special Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul Cathedral on November 22nd in honor of our deceased
brothers in the priesthood. It will be
followed by a shared meal. Mass will
begin at 5:30 pm. For more information,

We are in need of volunteers for Mass! Please consider
becoming a Lector, a Eucharistic Minister, a Greeter, or
an Usher. Encourage your children to volunteer as
Acolytes. If you have any questions, contact the Parish

MASS SCHEDULE CHANGE
After the weekend of November 19th and 20th,
the Saturday 5:30 pm bilingual Mass will convert into an English only Mass and a 7:00 pm
Spanish Mass will be added.

We need many hands to make this special event
happen! We especially need gentleman to help

LA JUSTICIA SANADORA DE DIOS
Una antigua expresion sostiene que las piedras calentadas por el sol curan. Tal vez. Pero el profeta Malaquías explica que a aquellos que no encuentran un lugar para Dios
en sus vidas solo le esperan días oscuros, sin sol. El profeta
nos dice que, a la inversa, el afecto y la luz de la justicia sanadora de Dios aguardan a aquellos que temen al Senor.
Esa es una nocion bastante consoladora –especialmente
ahora durante los días breves, cada vez mas breves, de noviembre. Es la piedra calentada por el sol, y mucho mas.
Pablo, igualmente, nos habla de justicia pero senala que
esta no es algo pasivo. Para ser tratados con justicia, debemos aportar nuestra parte. Si somos diligentes y perseveramos, seremos recompensados con y por los frutos de
nuestra labor. Finalmente, Lucas tambien nos llama a perseverar –en la fe, esta vez– y nos dice que nuestras vidas
estaran aseguradas en Dios no importa como nos traten
nuestros enemigos.

Este próximo fin de semana, el 19 y 20 de
noviembre, el Obispo Tyson estará con
nosotros para celebrar una Misa especial
de Instalación para el Padre Mauricio. La
Misa bilingüe se llevará a cabo el sábado a
las 5:30 pm. La Misa en español a las 7:00
pm será cancelada hasta la semana siguiente. Por favor ayúdenos a dar la bienvenida al Obispo! Vamos a darle gracias
por el envío del Padre Mauricio porque es
un bendición a nuestra Parroquia.

EL ÉXITO DE LA SUBASTA
MISA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS
La subasta numero 33 de la Escuela Catolica Sta. Rosa
de Lima recaudo aproximadamente $162,000. Mas de
300 personas fueron para mostrar su ayuda para la
Escuela. El Padre Mauricio dijo, “Nos sentimos bendecidos por la generosidad de esta comunidad.”
Una misa especial se celebrara el día de Accion
de Gracias a las 9:00 am en Ingles
ya las 11:00 am en espanol en la
Iglesia. Demos gracias a Dios por
las muchas bendiciones especiales
en nuestras vidas.
VOLUNTARIOS PARA LA MISA
MISA PARA SACERDOTES FALLECIDOS
Necesitamos voluntarios para la Misa! Por favor
considere si puede ayudar como Lector, Ministro de
Eucaristía, dando la Bienvenida, o con la colecta.
Anime a sus hijos para ser voluntario como acolitos.
Si usted tiene alguna pregunta, pongase en contacto
con la Oficina Parroquial. Gracias por considerar si
usted puede llenar un papel importante durante la
Misa.
Una Misa especial sera celebrada en la catedral
de San Pablo el 22 de noviembre en honor de
nuestros hermanos sacerdocio difuntos. Sera
seguida por una comida en comunidad. La Misa
