GOD’S MERCY
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
From the rich Eucharistic themes to be drawn from today’s second
reading, one stewardship theme stands out: The Eucharist is Christ’s gift to
us. Good stewards are grateful for this gift and realize that no matter their
station in life, they are welcome to come to the table and receive the body and
blood of Christ. If Jesus could break bread
with his betrayer, Judas, his denier, Peter,
and the other ten who deserted him, then
he will welcome us. Do we truly appreciate
what a tremendous gift it is to approach the
Lord’s table? Do we accept the transforming
power of the gift of Christ’s body and blood?
UPCOMING EVENTS
Spiritual Adoption Program:
There is still time to participate in the
“Spiritual Adoption Program”. If you are
interested in praying for a baby being
threatened by abortion, please stop by
the parish office to obtain an “Adoption
Packet” to begin. Please remember that
at the end of the nine months, we will
host baby shower. Details coming soon.
Eucharistic Adoration:
All are invited to spend time with Jesus
in the Eucharist. We offer Eucharistic
Adoration on Friday mornings from
8:45 to 11:45.
Fathers’ Day Intentions
If you wish to have your father, either
living or deceased, remembered in the
9 am or 11 am Mass on Father’s Day
(Sunday, June 19) please obtain a
Father’s Day Mass intention envelope
in the back of church, place your
donation in it, and drop your sealed
envelope in any parish collection or at
the office. Please indicate which Mass
the intention is for.
The last day to submit your intention is
Monday, June 13, 2016.
Father’s Day cards available in the office.
Feast of St. Anthony Celebration:
Join us Monday, June 13, 2016 at the
12:10 Mass. We will celebrate the
Feast of St. Anthony with Mass and a
reception. St. Anthony bread will be
distributed during Mass. All welcomed!
Memorial Day:
The parish office will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Please note: there
will be no 12:10 om Mass that day.
Social Apostolate:
We will be collecting non-perishable food
items the weekend of June 4/5. Please place
your donation in the bins in the Church.

PARISH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS
Our parish wedding anniversary Mass for those
parishioners who are celebrating a wedding
anniversary in 2016 that is divisible by five
(e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20 years, etc.) will be held on
Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the 11 a.m. Mass.
This special liturgy is an inspiring and joyful
celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage.
If you and your spouse plan to participate, please
fill out the following form and return it to the
parish office no later than Friday, June 3.

Synod Assessment Survey
As a result of the Archdiocesan Synod,
we are asking our parishioners to fill out
a survey which assesses the performance
of our church. This is a confidential review
of what our church is doing well and addresses areas in which we can improve.
Please obtain a survey from the rear of
the church then return it to the either the
basket provided in the rear of the church
or to the parish office. You may also
choose to have it emailed to you by completing the signup sheet on the information table in the church. The survey is
lengthy so you can fill out as much or as
little of the survey as you choose.

Solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y la Santísima Sangre de Cristo
De los valiosos temas de la Eucaristía que se desprenden de la segunda lectura
de hoy, destaca un tema de corresponsabilidad: la Eucaristía es el don de Cristo para nosotros. Los buenos corresponsables están agradecidos por este don y
conscientes de que sin importar la etapa de su vida, ellos
son bienvenidos a la mesa a recibir el cuerpo y la sangre de
Cristo. Si Cristo partió el pan con quien lo traicionó, Judas,
con quien lo negó, Pedro, y con los otros diez quienes lo
abandonaron, entonces, Él nos acogerá. ¿Apreciamos nosotros verdaderamente cuán grande y maravilloso don es el
