During the weeks of November 18, and December 2, 2013, work crews will be in your area
drilling two small diameter groundwater monitoring wells in Ashmill Street to collect soil and
groundwater samples as shown on the figure below. Once completed, the small diameter wells will have
a flush-mounted metal cap that will match the asphalt grade in the street. The wells will be used as a
groundwater monitoring points for future sampling and analysis. This work is part of an ongoing
investigation of soil and groundwater conditions in an effort to identify potential impacts that may be
associated with previous hydrocarbon sheening observed in the Dominguez Channel.
This work is being managed by Resource Environmental L.L.C. (RELLC) under the regulatory
direction of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB).
Due to the nature of the equipment needed to drill the boreholes, it will be noisy at times near the
drilling site. We will do our best to minimize any inconvenience or nuisance to the neighborhood.
Drilling operations will partially block access on Ashmill Street, and will be conducted only between
9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to minimize disturbance to residents. Only residences at 1236 Ashmill Street
may have their driveways temporarily blocked during these hours. Otherwise, street access will not be
impeded.

Durante las semanas del 18 de noviembre y del 2 de diciembre del 2013, los equipos de trabajo
estarán en su área haciendo perforación a dos pozos, pequeños en diámetro, de aguas subterráneas de
monitoreo en la calle Ashmill para recoger muestras de suelo y agua subterránea como se muestra en la
figura de abajo. Una vez completado, los pozos, pequeños en diámetro, tendrán un casquillo metálico
