library classes. Students are learning how to search

Early Release Schedule
The character trait for the month of October is
cooperation. A simple definition we use to
teach students about cooperation is working together. This month’s assembly will be the annual soccer game between 6th graders and Centennial Staff Members. The game will be from
2:30-3:00 on Thursday, October 31st. Parents
are welcome to attend. The game will take
place on the north playground.

Come for a night of SpookSpook-tacular Fun,
including a Halloweenie Dinner, MadMad-cap
Movies, Kid Games, and a Costume Parade
for all. Food items available: Hotdog $2,
Chips, Drinks, cookies, popcorn,
fruitfruit-byby-thethe-foot $1 each,
and Giant Candy Bar $2.

Parents School Safety Zone Tips
Picture Day
If your child did not have his or her
picture taken, you will have another
opportunity to do so on Picture Retake Day,
which will be Thursday November 7.
Information about retakes will be sent home
closer to the date.
Student Tutoring/ESL Classes For Adults
Centennial will begin their early evening
student tutoring and adult ESL classes. This
program will take place on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursdays from 5:00-5:30
pm. Students will work in the library,
comple(ng their homework, reading, and
playing math games. Parents will help one
of the three nights per week with the
students and will be provided with ESL
classes the other two nights. Parent ESL
classes will be in the Tech Lab. This program
will run from mid-October through the end
of March. Interested Centennial parents
should call the school at 428-6138 and
speak with Ms. Macedo or Mr. Stroosma.
Space in this program is limited.

Thanksgiving Break
November 28-29
La Escuela Centennial iniciará después de la
escuela, la tutoría para estudiantes y las
clases de Inglés para Adultos. Este programa será los dias martes, miércoles, y
jueves de 5:00-5:30 pm. Los estudiantes
trabajarán en la librería haciendo su tarea,
leyendo, y jugando juegos de matemá(cas.
Los padres ayudarán una de las tres noches
por semana con los estudiantes y las otras 2
noches recibirán las clases de Inglés. Las
clases de Inglés para padres serán en el
laboratorio de tecnología. Este programa
durará de los mediados de Octubre hasta el
final de Marzo. Los padres de Centennial
que estén interesados deben de llamar a la
escuela al 428-6138 y hable con la Sra.
Macedo o el Sr. Stroosma. El espacio en este
programa es limitado.
