Stem-Changing Verbs Sentence Creation Dice Activity
For this activity, you will be practicing conjugating stem-changing verbs and writing
your own sentences. Work with your partner to write sentences in Spanish using words
from this chapter and previous chapters. (No translators or dictionaries!) You may use
your vocab sheets if necessary. Edit your work before turning this in via Classroom.
Rules:
Roll the dice. The first roll is for the subject.
1 = Yo
2 = Tú
3 = Él, Ella or Ud.
4 = Nosotr@s
5 = Ell@s
6 = Uds.
Roll the dice again. The second roll for the verb.
1 = jugar
2 = querer
3 = dormir
4 = competir (e-i, to compete)
5 = poder
6 = perder
Conjugate the verb to match the subject.
For example: if I rolled a 2 (Tú form) on the first roll and a 6 (perder) on the
second roll I would write “pierdes”
Use the verb in a sentence.
Example: Tú pierdes a veces. ( You lose sometimes)
Edit your sentences and make corrections.
Work with your group to write 10 sentences.
