Directions for Use

Cheek Expander - Sterilizable.
Caution: U.S. Federal Law restricts this device to
sale by or on the order of a Dentist or Orthodontist.
Sterilization Method: Sterilize for
30 minutes at 250°F (121°C).
Indications for Use: Spring wire support for
lip and cheek retraction that provides consistent
and adjustable force for improved access to the
posterior teeth.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Place the cheek expanders in the patient’s
mouth. The side of the cheek expander with
the hole will be on the outside of the patient’s
mouth.
Contraindications: None known
Warnings: Always ensure that wire expander
endcaps are firmly in place as loss could result in
the exposure of sharp edges.
Precautions: Sterilize product according to
method indicated on label only. Use of cold
sterilization on products designed for heat
sterilization may result in damage to product.
2. Place the wire around the patient’s head with
the arch of the wire around the back of the
patient’s neck.
3. Slide the wire through the hole in the side of
the cheek expander.
4. To provide more force to further expand the
cheeks, move the wire further up the neck.

Attention : Conformément à la législation
américaine, cet appareil ne peut être vendu que
par un dentiste/orthodontiste ou sur prescription
médicale.
Indications d’utilisation : Soutien à fil à
ressort destiné à la rétraction des lèvres et des
joues qui offre une force constante et réglable pour
améliorer l’accès aux dents postérieures.
Contre-indications : Aucune connue
Mises en garde : Toujours s’assurer que les
bouchons de l’extenseur à fil sont bien en place car
leur perte pourrait entraîner l’exposition de bords
tranchants.
Méthode de stérilisation : Stériliser pendant
30 minutes à 121°C (250°F).
Instructions détaillées :
1. Placer les extenseurs de joue dans la bouche
du patient. Le côté de l’extenseur de joue
comportant le trou sera placé à l’extérieur de
la bouche du patient.
2. Placer le fil autour de la tête du patient en
disposant l’arc du fil autour de l’arrière du cou
du patient.
3. Engager le fil à travers le trou sur le côté de
l’extenseur de joue.
4. Pour obtenir davantage de force et développer
encore les joues, remonter le fil le long du cou.
Précautions d’emploi : Stériliser le produit
conformément à la méthode indiquée sur l’étiquette
uniquement. Le recours à la stérilisation à froid sur
des produits conçus pour être stérilisés à la chaleur
risque d’endommager le produit.

Istruzioni per l’uso: il supporto metallico a
molla per la retrazione di labbra e guance fornisce
una forza costante e regolabile che consente di
migliorare l’accesso ai denti posteriori.
Controindicazioni: nessuna nota.
Avvertenze: accertare sempre che i cappucci
terminali dell’espansore metallico siano saldamente
in posizione in quanto la loro assenza potrebbe
determinare l’esposizione di bordi taglienti.
Precauzioni: sterilizzare il prodotto
esclusivamente secondo il metodo indicato
sull’etichetta. L’uso della sterilizzazione a freddo
su prodotti per cui è indicata la sterilizzazione a
caldo potrebbe danneggiare i prodotti.
Metodo di sterilizzazione: sterilizzare per
30 minuti a 121 °C (250 °F).
Istruzioni dettagliate:
1. Collocare l’apribocca nella bocca del
paziente. Il lato dell’apribocca con il foro
si troverà sul lato esterno della bocca del
paziente.
2. Posizionare il filo attorno alla testa del
paziente con l’arco del filo attorno alla nuca
del paziente.
3. Fare scorrere il filo metallico attraverso il foro
nel lato dell’apribocca.
4. Per fornire una forza aggiuntiva ed espandere
maggiormente le guance, spostare il filo nella
parte superiore della nuca.

Wangen-Expander - sterilisierbar
Achtung: Laut US-Bundesgesetz darf dieser
Artikel nur an Zahnärzte oder Kieferorthopäden
oder auf deren Anweisung verkauft werden.
Verwendungszweck: Federdraht-Haltegerät
zur Retraktion von Lippen und Wange mit
konsistenter und einstellbarer Haltekraft für einen
verbesserten Zugang zu den hinteren Zähnen.
Kontraindikationen: Keine bekannt
Warnhinweise: Stets sicherstellen, dass die
Endkappen des Drahtexpanders korrekt sitzen. Die
Endkappen bieten Schutz vor scharfen /spitzen
Drahtenden. Diese Enden liegen bei Verlust der
Endkappen frei und stellen ein Verletzungsrisiko dar.
Vorsichtshinweise: Das Produkt darf nur
mit der auf dem Produktetikett angegebenen
Sterilisationsmethode sterilisiert werden. Eine
Niedrigtemperatursterilisation von Produkten, für
die eine Sterilisation mit Hitze vorgesehen ist, kann
zur Beschädigung des Produkts führen.
Sterilisationsmethode: 30 Minuten lang bei
121 °C (250 °F) sterilisieren.
Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung:
1. Setzen Sie den Wangen-Expander in den
Mund des Patienten ein. Das Ende des
Wangen-Expanders, das mit einem Loch
versehen ist, soll sich dabei außerhalb des
Mundes des Patienten befinden.
2. Legen Sie den Draht um den Kopf des
Patienten, wobei sich der gebogene Draht im
Nackenbereich des Patienten verlaufen soll.
3. Schieben Sie den Draht durch das Loch, das
sich seitlich am Wangen-Expander befindet.
4. Bewegen Sie den Draht im Nackenbereich
weiter nach oben, wenn eine größere Kraft
aufgebracht werden soll, um die Wangen
weiter aufzudehnen.

Indicaciones de uso: Soporte de alambre tipo
resorte para retraer los labios y las mejillas que
ejerce presión constante y regulable para acceder

Contraindicaciones: Se desconocen
Advertencias: Asegúrese siempre de que las
cubiertas de los extremos del dilatador de alambre
estén fijados con firmeza ya que su falta podría
resultar en exposición a bordes filosos.
Precauciones: Solamente esterilice el producto
como se indica en la etiqueta. La esterilización
en frío de productos diseñados para esterilización
con calor puede dañar el producto.
Método de esterilización: Esterilice a
121 °C (250 °F) durante 30 minutos.
Instrucciones paso a paso:
1. Introduzca el dilatador de mejillas en la boca
del paciente. El lado del dilatador de mejillas
con el orificio debe orientarse hacia la parte
exterior de la boca del paciente.
2. Coloque el alambre alrededor de la cabeza
del paciente, con el arco de alambre
alrededor de la nuca.
3. Deslice el alambre por el orificio lateral del
dilatador de mejillas.
4. Si desea hacer más presión para expandir las
mejillas aún más, mueva el alambre de la nuca
hacia arriba.
