This summer, become a part of Miami-Dade Public Library System’s
Reading Ready Early Literacy Program for parents and caregivers
of children birth-five years of age.
Use this guide to explore the public library with your child and learn all the services that are available.
Make time to attend a Reading Ready Storytime and access the Tumble Books Library, on-line. Bring your
library card application so your child can receive their very own library card.

Library Scavenger Hunt

1. Fill out your library application and
take it to the library to get a library card.

2. Find the Children’s section
in the library.

3. Find a book about animals.
❏
4. Sit down somewhere and read the book.
❏
5. Find all the different animals in the book and say their names.
❏
6. How many animals can you find?
❏
7. See if you can make the sound for each animal.
❏
8. Put the book back on the shelf.
❏
9. Select another book to check out
and take home.

Sistema de Bibliotecas Públicas de Miami-Dade para padres y encargados de
niños desde el nacimiento hasta los cinco años de edad.
Utiliza esta guía para explorar la biblioteca pública con tu hijo y enterarte de todos los servicios que están
