Ernesto, jefe de una familia clase media, ha sido suspendido de la
empresa donde trabaja y queda en la calle al no poder pagar el
alquiler. El Gordo, su amigo y compañero de desgracia, logra
ubicarlo en una choza en lo alto de una colina desde donde se ve el
pueblo. Las artimañas del Gordo, más experto en sobrevivir, harán
que esa “casita” tenga todo lo necesario para la subsistencia. Pasa
el tiempo y Ernesto no consigue un trabajo que le permita cumplir
su mayor ilusión: llevar a los chicos a conocer el mar. Padres e
hijos tratan de aportar algo a la debilitada economía familiar y
después de muchos inconvenientes inician la gran aventura de sus
vidas: el viaje que les permitirá escuchar el ruido de las olas, jugar
con el agua y descansar en la orilla.
Ernesto, head of a middle-class family, has been suspended from the
company he works for and finds himself homeless, as he cannot pay the
rent. Gordo, his friend and companion in misfortune, finds him a place to
live in a shack at the top of a hill that overlooks the village. Gordo, more
expert in surviving, knows all the tricks of the trade and makes sure the
little “house” has everything necessary for survival. Time goes by and
Ernesto can’t find a job that will let him satisfy his biggest dream; to take
his children to see the sea. Parents and children try to contribute
something towards the weakened family economy and after a lot of
hitches they start out on the big adventure of their lives; the journey that
will let them hear the sound of the waves, play in the water and relax on
the shore with the satisfaction of having achieved their goal.
