Parents to a District-Wide Meeting
Do you have a student who will enter kindergarten in the fall of 2015? If so, please mark your
calendar to attend the parent informational meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 5 at 6:30
PM in the Kenowa Hills Central Elementary Café, 4252 Three Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids, MI
49534. Registration information, details about building level kindergarten orientation, and
general information about the kindergarten experience will be discussed. Superintendent of
Schools, Gerald Hopkins; Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Mike Burde; and all
elementary principals will be available to share information and answer questions.
Kindergarten orientation will be held on April 20 at Alpine Elementary, April 23 at Central
Elementary and April 21 at Zinser Elementary.
New Age Requirements: Beginning with the 2015/2016 school year, children MUST BE 5
YEARS OLD ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 to enroll in kindergarten.

para todos los padres de nuevos estudiantes de kinder
¿Tiene un niño/a que está en edad de empezar kinder en el otoño del 2015? Si es asi, entonces debe poner este
día en su calendario para asistir a una reunión para padres. La reunión para darle mas información a padres
acerca de kinder será el jueves, 5 de marzo a las 6:30 de la tarde en la escuela primara Central en el
4252 Three Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids MI 49434. Se dará información sobre detalles de inscripción,
orientación de kinder en cada escuela e información general sobre la experiencia en kinder. El Sr. Gerald
Hopkins; director general de administración, El Sr. Mike Burde; director de plan de estudios e instrución asi como
todos los directores de las escuelas estarán presentes para compartir información y contestar preguntas. La
orientacion de kinder será el 20 de abril en la escuela Alpine (Alpine Elementary), el 23 de abril para la escuela
Central (Central Elementary) y el 21 de abril para la escuela Zinser (Zinser Elementary).
