Not a long time ago I went to several discount stores, looking for a new washing machine. The prices
were lower than they used to be, but still too high for me. I explained the problem to Roland, my
shopping adviser.
“I know the cheapest store in town”, he said. “You name it, the ‘garbage store’ has it.” By
“garbage store”, he meant the pile of non-burnable garbage that people put out every week.
Digging around in people’s garbage would be embarrassing, but I was in a hurry to get a washing
machine. I had been washing by hand for a very long time. I suggested that we go early in the morning
so that no one would see us.
On the next non-burnable garbage day, well before sunrise, I met Roland at my subway station.
We started walking through my neighbourhood. I had high hopes, but after an hour of searching the only
thing I found was a useless wooden tray. Then, just as I was already leaving, I saw it – a washing
machine!
It was near a garbage collection place, outside an apartment building. Even in the darkness, I
could tell that the washing machine was garbage because it was dirty. The people in the apartment
building had probably been too lazy to carry it all the way to a collection place and just left it where it
was.

CRITERIOS ESPECÍFICOS DE CORRECCIÓN

En la corrección de la prueba es necesario tener en cuenta tanto la comprensión del texto escrito en
inglés como la producción escrita de dicho texto en lengua española. Se tendrán en cuenta por igual los
aspectos gramaticales (morfológicos y sintácticos) y los léxicos, así como un equilibrio entre la expresión
limitada por la estructura y la expresión más libre del alumno.
Es necesario valorar lo siguiente:

Construcción correcta y ordenada de las oraciones.
•
Dominio suficiente del vocabulario y riqueza del léxico.
•
Reexpresión, reescritura o traducción exacta y adecuada del sentido.
La puntuación total del examen es de 10 puntos.
