ISAT 2.0
Spring is the time of year for growth
and new beginnings. For us, that also
means a time for students to show what
they have learned and mastered
throughout the school year. April is our
testing month, where students in grades
3rd, 4th and 5th will take ISAT 2.0, also
known as Idaho Student Achievement
Test 2.0.
Idaho has partnered with the Smarter
Balanced Assessment Consortium to
develop online assessments aligned to the
Idaho Core. The format of the
assessments are the same as the tests
students took last year as part of the field
test, which we referred to at the SBAC.
This year its a similar test with a new
name, ISAT 2.0.
The work of Smarter Balanced is
guided by the belief that a high-quality
assessment system can provide
information and tools for teachers and
schools to improve instruction and help
Bellevue Parents Auxiliary
BPA is our school parent
organization. We embrace parent
volunteers and appreciate the services
they provide to our students.
all students succeed—regardless of
disability, language, or background.
The tests will measure how well
students are progressing toward readiness
for college and careers. They offer
improvements over tests of the past,
including: writing at every grade;
expanded features to meet the needs of
all students; and performance tasks that
ask students to demonstrate an array
skills including; research, writing, and
problem.
This year we will receive student
scores back from the ISAT 2.0. These
scores will not be comparable to the tests
of the past, as the types of questions and
the formats vary greatly. Instead this year
will be a measure of where each student
is in meeting the Idaho Core Standards.
Student scores will be shared with
families later this Spring.
Thank you to all the families that
brought in treats for the staff. The

Appreciation Week is coming the
first week of May. We are looking
for volunteers to be part of
planning for this special week. It’s
the time of year for Mileage Club.
We need parent volunteers to help
with this great event during lunch
on Fridays in April. Please contact
Mr. G if you would like to help.
Buddy Bench
On Earth Day we will have a public celebration of our newest addition to our playground...the Buddy Bench. The idea
was brought forward by 3rd grader, Jaime Carpenter, who heard about the buddy bench at other schools. After brining
the idea to the school, the Cub Council members were looking for a meaningful way to commemorate Nolan
Kreczkowski and his compassionate personality. The students worked with teachers and our parents auxiliary to bring
the idea to reality. Our fall auction fundraiser organized by our PTA, help raise the funds to purchase and install the
bench. All the classes are working together to grow flowers that will be planted in the bench’s planters and to celebrate
the purpose of the bench: compassion, camaraderie and support for one another.
Buddybench.org explains the concept of the buddy bench as “a simple idea to eliminate loneliness and foster friendship
on the playground.” The Buddy Bench is a place for students to go during recess if they are lonely or don’t have
someone to play with. They simply sit on the bench signaling to other students to be inclusive and invite the classmate
on the bench to join in their play. The bench is another way for all students to feel accepted and included. As Bellevue
Bears we are Always a Good Neighbor!
A Night at the Gallery
Bellevue Elementary Students invite you and all our community to our school gallery
on April 9th from 5:30-6:30 pm. We will be featuring student writers, poets, and
artists. The night will resemble a gallery walk with visitors touring the building to see
the work on display. Students will be hosting guests, offering tours and sharing their
own contributions to the gallery.
YMCA Kids Club Registration
The YMCA after school Kids Club will be at Bellevue
starting next school year. The program will be each school
day from 2:30-6:00 pm for students in grade K-3.
Registration is on Thursday, April 9th at Bellevue
Elementary from 5-6:30 pm. You can pick up a registration
packet at the front office. There are only a limited
number of spaces, that will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
Perfect Attendance
In March we celebrated our students who had perfect attendance in 2nd
Trimester! Way to go! Please support your students’ learning by helping
them establish the routine of regular attendance. We recognize that some
absences and illnesses are unavoidable. The more regularly a student
attends, the more success they find in their learning and social
development.

El Centro de Atención
ISAT 2.0
La primavera es la época del año para
nuevos comienzos y crecimiento. Para
nosotros, también significa un tiempo para
que los estudiantes puedan demostrar lo que
han aprendido y dominado durante el año
escolar. Abril es nuestro mes de exámenes,
donde los estudiantes del grado 3º, 4º y 5º
tomaran el ISAT 2.0 también conocido como
La Prueba del Logro Estandarizado de Idaho
2.0.
Idaho se ha asociado con Smarter Balanced
Assesment Conosortium para desarrollar
evaluaciones en línea con los Estándares
Esenciales del Estado de Idaho. El formato de
las evaluaciones son iguales a los exámenes
que los estudiantes tomaron el año pasado
como parte del examen en esa área, al cual
nos referimos como el SBAC. Este año es un
examen similar pero con un nuevo nombre,
ISAT 2.0.
El labor de Smarter Balanced es guiado por la
creencia de que un sistema de evaluaciones
altas en calidad pueden proveer información y
herramientas para las maestra y escuela para
mejorar instrucciones y ayudar a que todos los

El examen medirá que tan bien los estudiantes

mejoría sobre los exámenes en el pasado,
incluyendo escritura en todos los grados. Las
características han sido ampliado para
satisfacer las necesidades de todos los
estudiantes y hacer las tareas de rendimiento
que se le pida a los estudiantes que puedan
demostrar las habilidades, investigar, escribir y
como resolver un problema.
Este año si vamos a recibir las calificaciones de
los estudiantes para atrás de ISAT 2.0. Estas
calificaciones no serán comparadas con las de
años pasados, como el tipo de preguntas y los
formatos varean considerablemente. En
cambió este año las calificaciones medirán en
donde se encuentra cada estudiante en
alcanzar los Estándares Esenciales del Estado
de Idaho. Las calificaciones de los estudiantes
serán compartidas con las familias más
adelante en la primavera.
Gracias a todas las familias que trajeron la comida para nuestro almuerzo del personal. Todo nuestro personal está muy agradecido por su apreciación. La Semana de Apreciación a los maestros será la primera semana de Mayo. Estamos buscando voluntarios que sean parte de planear algo muy especial. Es la época del año para el Club de Millajes. Necesitamos padres voluntarios que nos ayuden con este evento durante el horario del almuerzo los viernes en Abril. Por favor póngase en contacto con el Sr. G si a usted le gustaría ayudar. Banca de Amigos
El Día de la Tierra tendremos una celebración publica de nuestra nueva adición a nuestro patio de recreo… la Banca de
Amigos. La idea fue presentada por nuestra estudiante Jamie Carpenter, de 3º grado, que escucho sobre la banca de amigos
en otras escuelas. Después de haber traído esta idea a la escuela, los miembros de Cub Council estaban buscando una
manera significante para conmemorar a Nolan K y su personalidad compasiva. Los estudiantes trabajaron con los maestros
y padres auxiliaras para traer esta idea a la realidad. Nuestra subasta de recaudación de fondos organizada por nuestro PTA,
ayudo a juntar los fondos para comprar e instalar nuestra banca. Todas las clases están trabajando juntas para crecer flores
que serán plantadas en masetas y celebrar el propósito de la banca: compasión, camaradería y apoyo uno a otro.
Buddybench.org explica el concepto de una banca de amigos como “una idea simple para eliminar soledad y fomentar la
amistad en el patio de recreo.” La Banca de Amigos es un lugar para que los estudiantes vayan durante el recreo si ellos se
sienten solos o no tiene con quien jugar. Simplemente se sientan en la banca señalándoles a los de más estudiantes de ser
inclusivos e invitar a sus compañeros a jugar. La banca es otra manera para que todos los estudiantes se sientan aceptados e
incluidos. Como Osos de Bellevue Siempre Somos un Buen Vecino.
Una Noche en la Galería
Los estudiantes de La Primaria de Bellevue lo invita a usted y a todo nuestra comunidad a
nuestra galería en la escuela el 9 de Abril de las 5:30-6:30pm. Habrá estudiantes escritores,
poetas y artista exponiendo sus obras de arte. Esta noche nuestros visitantes recorrerán el
edificio tomando un tour para ver el trabajo de nuestros estudiantes. Los estudiantes estarán
bienvenido a nuestro invitado, ofreciendo tours y compartiendo sus propias
piezas de arte que contribuyeron para nuestra galería.
Registración para el Club de Niños del YMCA
El Programa de niños después de la escuela del YMCA se
empezara el año escolar que viene en Bellevue. El programa será
cada día escolar de las 2:30-6:00pm para los estudiantes de K-3. La registración es
el Jueves, 9 de abril en La Primaria de Bellevue de las 5-6:30pm. Usted puede
recoger una forma de registración en la oficina de nuestra escuela. Solo hay un
límite de espacios, que se llenaran conforme se vayan registrado.
Asistencia Perfecta
¡En Marzo nosotros celebramos a nuestros estudiantes que tuvieron
asistencia perfecta el 2º Trimestre! ¡Muy bien! Por favor apoyen el
aprendizaje de sus hijos estableciendo una rutina regular de asistencia.
Nosotros reconocemos que algunas ausencias y enfermedades son
inevitables. Entre más regularmente un estudiante asista más éxito van a
encontrar ellos en su aprendizaje y desarrollo social.
