Bartlomiej L. Nierzwicki, DMD, MD, PhD has received his dental degree with high honors from Boston University
and his medical degree cum laude from University of Missouri-Kansas City. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Residency, as well as General Surgery Residency (PGY-1} were also completed at the University of Missouri.
In addition, educated in the European tradition of maxillofacial surgery, Dr Nierzwicki holds a doctorate in medical
sciences, with emphasis on radiation oncology of the head and neck. He also completed a sub-specialty fellowship
in Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at Children's Mercy Hospital.
Dr Nierzwicki was fortunate to begin his academic surgery career at the University of Missouri immediately
following his fellowship training. He served three valuable years of service as Assistant Professor at University
of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as Residency Program Director involved in
clinical and didactic instruction of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and students.
Dr Nierzwicki is a board-certified specialist, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,
European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, as well as National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is currently
a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and
American Dental Society ofAnesthesiology, and has been in practice since 1998.
Dr Nierzwicki's scope of practice is broad due to comprehensive training in maxillofacial surgical procedures and
encompasses all areas of oral and cranio-maxillofacial surgery. Doctor speaks fluent Polish and Spanish, and is
available to accommodate all referrals. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has published papers
on a variety of topics related to his areas of surgical interest. When not working, he enjoys spending time with
his family. His hobbies include snow skiing, snowboarding and scuba diving (PAD/ Divemaster).

Bartolome L. Nierzwicki, MD, DMD, PhD ha recibido su titulo dental con los mas altos honores de Ia
Universidad de Boston y su titulo en Medicina lo recibi6 con honores 11CUm laude" de Ia Universidad de
Missouri con sede en Kansas City. En Ia Universidad de Missouri completo su residencia en cirugfa oral y
maxilofacial asf como su residencia en Cirugfa General (PGY-1). Aunado a esto fue educado con Ia
tradicion europea de Ia cirugfa maxilofacial, Dr. Nierzwicki tiene un Doctorado en Ciencia Medica, con
enfasis en Radiacion Oncologica de cabeza y cuello. El tambien completo una sub-especialidad de Cirugfa
Plastica y Craneo-facial en el hospital pediatrico con una beca de investigacion.
Dr. Nierzwicki fue afortunado al empezar su carrera academica en cirugfa inmediatamente despues que
finalizo su beca de investigacion. El sirvi6 como asistente de profesor en Ia Escuela de Medicina y en Ia
Escuela Dental de Ia Universidad de Missouri con sede en Kansas City par tres valiosos anos, asf como
tambien fue Director del Programa de residentes donde estaba involucrado en Ia clfnica y en Ia
instruccion didactica de Ia cirugfa oral y maxilofacial.
Dr. Nierzwicki tiene certificacion de Ia especialidad del consejo directivo. Esta diplomado par Ia Directiva
Americana de Cirugfa Oral y Maxilofacial; par Ia Directiva Europea de Cirugfa Oral y Maxilofacial, asf como
tambien par Ia Directiva Dental Nacional de Anestesiologfa. El es actualmente miembro de Asociacion
Oral y Maxilofacial y de Ia Asociacion Dental Americana de Anestesiologfa. Dr. Nierzwicki se ha dedicado a
Ia practica de su carrera desde 1998.
Dr. Nierzwicki tiene certificaciones vigentes en: Reanimacion Cardiaca Avanzada; Reanimacion Pediatrica
Avanzada, y en Traumatismo de Soporte Vital Avanzado. Su campo de practica ha sido muy amplio,
abarca procedimientos quirurgicos en cirugfa maxilofacial y en todas las areas de cirugfa craneomaxilofacial. La practica de Dr. Nierzwicki consiste en: lmplantes
dentales, Patologfa oral, Cirugfa oral pediatrica, lnjerto en Ia
reconstruccion de huesos para Ia preparacion de implantes
de apoyo, Rehabilitacion protesica y Extraccion del tercer molar
(con anestesia local/ o anestesia general).
Su practica medica esta enfocada en: La correccton patologica
y oncologica de Ia cabeza y cuello, Reconstruccion y ortognancia
quirurgica de Ia mandfbula, trauma maxilofacial, gestion de Ia
articulacion temporomandibular (TMJ, articulacion de Ia mandfbula),
trastornos y enfermedades en Ia glandulas salivales, gestion
quirurgica en Ia obstruccion de Ia apnea del sueno, y anestesiologfa.
Dr. Nierzwicki es trilingue, el habla ingles, palaeo, y castellano
(espanol). El sera capaz de recibir a toda persona referida a el. El ha
