As you know, it was selected to be the new site for the education of men preparing for the Permanent Diaconate. Because it needed a major renovation to serve that purpose, the Archbishop approved of the expenditure of a very large sum of money to enable that renovation. You may have noticed the new windows being installed throughout the major portion of the building. Very soon, a new heating/cooling system will be in place, the restrooms redone, and new lighting installed in the cafeteria and classrooms along the main corridor. The work is progressing nicely and we hope to be able to get back into the newly renovated areas by the first of the year. Yes, we will be sharing the building with the Diaconate Training Program. How do we say “Thank you?” The best way, I suggest, is by responding to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal, which 156 of us have done. But if you have not yet fulfilled your pledge, I urge you to do so as soon as possible. Our goal for this year was set at $37,100.00. At this point, outstanding pledges amount to $22,118.51. It would be wonderful to meet — even exceed — our goal by December 30th., just about the time we hope to enter our newly renovated school. Not a bad exchange, is it? —Fr. Jerome, C.P. CONSOLAR AL QUE ESTA TRISTE Consolad, consolad a mi pueblo -dice vuestro Dios- (Is 40,1). P. Alberto, C.P. Page 4
