NOATUM acquires 100% of Agemasa NOATUM, formerly Dragados SPL, is the leader in port operations and services in the Spanish market Madrid, 8 April 2011-. NOATUM, the leading operator in of port terminals in Spain, through its affiliate Marmedsa, has signed an agreement to acquire the 50% of the company that was previously held by its Portuguese partner, the Orey Group. As of now, the parties involved will commence the relevant procedures to gain clearance for the acquisition. According to Douglas Schultz, CEO of NOATUM, “the acquisition of the Orey share of Agemasa demonstrates Noatums interest in investment opportunities in Ports infrastructure and our commitment to our investments in the Port of Bilbao. The services, strategic location and resources of Agemasa are an important part of our operations in the Port." Agemasa is a multi-purpose terminal well equipped with new, modern machinery and storage facilities, as well as the latest IT systems and the facility specializes in handling steel products, general and project cargo.
