Saint Gerard Majella is the patron of
expectant mothers. His feast day was
October 16th. In our day and age, many are
tempted to make use of technological
advances in order to have a child. In some
cases, these methodologies involve the
creation of multiple human lives that are
frequently discarded. Perhaps this week we
can pray for mothers who are having
difficulty conceiving or carrying a child to
term. Let us ask God that they will have the
grace to conceive and if incapable of
bringing life into the world physically, that
they come to recognize their call to
maternity in caring for others that are in
need. May God bless you.
San Gerardo Majella es el patrón de las
mujeres embarazadas. Su fiesta fue 16 de
octubre. En nuestros días, muchos son tentados
a hacer uso de los avances tecnológicos con el
fin de tener un hijo. En algunos casos, estas
metodologías implican la creación de múltiples
vidas humanas que frecuentemente se
desechan. Tal vez esta semana podemos orar
por las madres que tienen dificultades para
concebir o en Xxque el bebe llegue a completo
desarrolloXX. Vamos a pedirle a Dios que ellas
tengan la gracia de concebir y que si son
incapaces de dar vida físicamente, que lleguen
a reconocer su vocación a la maternidad en el
cuidado de aquellos que están en necesidad.
