Go Your Way, and Sin No More
uring a religion class, a little child was once asked, “What is adultery?” After
giving it some thought, the child finally spoke up and said: “I think adultery
is the sin of the adults, three adults. That is why it is called adulthree!”
Anyway, when it comes to an adulterous relationships, three persons are
involved here especially if the other party is a married one. That is why this little
child called this relationship as ‘adult three.’ It is wrong for a man and a woman
to think that this illicit relationship is just between the two of them. It is because
sin is not just a personal but a social one. Every time we commit sin, others are
also affected. There is no such thing as a private sin. When we commit sin God
is hurt, another person is hurt too as well as the sinner.
In today’s gospel, the Pharisees brought to Jesus an adulterous woman in order
to trap Him. Identifying ourselves not with the Pharisees but with the woman
herself, we begin to see the story for the good news that it really is. Like the
woman, we “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Like her we all deserve death, “for the wages of sin is death”. (Romans 6:23). But
when Jesus comes into the picture, he overturns our death sentence. He sets us
free with his words of absolution: “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and
sin no more” (John 8:11). The story shows how Jesus stands up for sinners
before the law. In doing so he draws upon himself the hostility of the teachers of
the law, who will eventually arrest him and give him a taste of their justice. The
church puts this story before us today so that we can see ourselves in this sinner
woman whom Jesus saves from sure death at the risk of attracting death to
himself.
Question: Why do gorillas have big nostrils?
Answer: Because they have big fingers.
In today’s Gospel (Jn. 8, 1-11), fingers do a lot of talking. On one hand are the
accusing fingers of the Scribes and the Pharisees pointed toward the woman
caught in adultery; and on the other is the finger of Jesus writing on the ground.
Take a look at your hands. Do you have accusing, condemning fingers or do you
have welcoming, pardoning and approving fingers? Do you have clean hands
that share, reach out, console and often are folded before God in prayer? Your
fingers and hands say a lot.
Let us today pray in the words of Peter Marshall:
Lord, when we are wrong, make us willing to change.
And when we are right, make us easy to live with.

Rekolekcje to nie tylko spotkanie z ciekawym człowiekiem,
dobrym mówcą, ale przede wszystkim z Bogiem. Będą one na tyle
owocne, na ile sami się w nie zaangażujemy. Jeżeli już podjęliśmy
trud, by na nich być, trzeba zadbać, by nie skończyło się na samym
słuchaniu, chociaż słuchanie głosu Boga jest początkiem nawrócenia.
Zachęceni słowem Bożym komentowanym przez rekolekcjonistę,
musimy zadać sobie pytanie: co Bóg chce mi w tych rekolekcjach
powiedzieć? Rekolekcje są dobrym czasem, żeby przyjrzeć się
naszemu codziennemu życiu. Pomyślmy, co zrobiliśmy źle, jak
możemy uczynione zło naprawić. Módlmy się także o dobre, Boże
natchnienia, aby po rekolekcjach lepiej żyć w codzienności.
Sprawdzianem owocności rekolekcji jest większe rozmodlenie,
większa gorliwość w życiu sakramentalnym i bycie lepszym dla
bliźnich.
Bóg przemawia do nas na różne sposoby: przez drugiego
człowieka,wydarzenia z życia, ale szczególnie w ciszy. Dzięki
rekolekcjom może uda się „załatwić” wiele spraw nie tylko z
Bogiem, ale i ze współmałżonkiem, rodzicami i dziećmi.
Życzę wszystkim, i sobie, owocnego przeżycia naszych rekolekcji
wielkopostnych.

CONSEJOS PARA VIVIR BIEN LA CUARESMA
•
Despréndete de tantas palabras huecas y sin sentido: llénate de la Palabra de DIOS.
•
Abona tu FE con la participación diaria en la Eucaristía. Un peregrino, no puede llegar al final de su
trayecto, sin saber por qué o por quién lo hace.
•
Carga tu conciencia con la rectitud del Espíritu. No caigas en la tentación de pensar que, tu conciencia, es
aquello que te da la posibilidad de realizar o pensar lo que creas conveniente. Deja que Dios la eduque.
•
Vive con sobriedad estos días. No por tener mucho se es más feliz. La felicidad la da el uso correcto y
sensato de las cosas, no el despilfarro ni la simple apariencia.
•
Busca, insistentemente, un espacio de silencio. Para lo que queremos no hay inconvenientes ni cansancio.
Una iglesia puede ser la mejor sauna para el cuerpo y el espíritu.
•
Recapacita sobre quién necesita de tu comprensión o de tu perdón. Si estás enojado con alguien, derriba
esos muros que les separan. Si, por el contrario, otros están distantes de ti, no dudes en pedir perdón.
•
Lee, cada noche, un trozo de la Palabra de Dios. ¿De qué nos sirve una mesa si no se sirve comida? ¿Para
qué una valiosa joya si nunca se luce? La Biblia es la perla más preciosa y, no siempre la más codiciada, en
un hogar cristiano.
•
Haz oración. No pienses que es difícil. Es cuestión de ponerse. Si fueras a un médico, te diría que el
funcionamiento del corazón es muy difícil de explicar. Pero, el paciente sin saber tanto, siente que en su
interior se mueve con dos movimientos. La oración es el palpitar de Dios con el hombre y del hombre con
Dios.
•
Bríndate generosamente. Haz algo, aunque sea pequeño, en favor de alguna causa. Pero, sobre todo,
cuando lo realices ofréceselo a Dios. No te conviertas en un simple miembro de una “ong”. Como cristiano,
la fuente de tu hacer el bien, está en Dios y no el altruismo.
•
Busca la paz. Trabaja por ella en lugares tan cercanos como el trabajo o la familia. ¿De qué nos sirve
añorar la paz en el mundo si, luego, somos incapaces de conseguirla en nuestros pequeños campos de
batalla?
•
Si hace tiempo que no frecuentas el sacramento de la confesión, haz un esfuerzo. Nuestra vida necesita un
contraste, un consejo, una palabra oportuna. Alguien que, en nombre de Jesús, vaya el fondo de nosotros,
nos cure y nos perdone. A veces, hasta una copa limpia, necesita de una mano que la deje resplandeciente.
•
Guarda vigilia y ayuno. Nunca como hoy está tan de moda, diversas recetas para adelgazar: no comer.
Pero, la Cuaresma, nos dice que para hacer fuerte el espíritu, es necesario –en el nombre de Jesús- estos
signos que denotan algo muy importante: LO HACEMOS PORQUE JESUS SUBE A LA CRUZ. Lo
contrario, en el fondo, es debilidad de fe.
•
No te avergüences de ser católico y cristiano. ¿Por qué todo el mundo dice lo que quiere y nosotros hemos
de ser tan prudentemente peligrosos con nuestro silencio? ¿Por qué tan tolerantes con otras religiones y,
tan poco respetuosos con la nuestra? Las raíces de nuestra tierra, recuérdalo, revívelo y manifiéstalo, son
cristianas. ¡De ti depende!
•
Si vives bien y, además, arropado por el dinero, piensa que es una bendición de Dios. Comparte, algo por
lo menos, con los necesitados. Una organización católica, tu parroquia, etc., serán el mejor cauce y el más
seguro camino, para –no solamente hacer limosna- sino, además promover la justicia.
•
Siéntete a gusto en tu Iglesia. Pide por ella. Por el Papa, los obispos, los sacerdotes. En medio del desierto
que estamos viviendo, también el maligno nos invita a dudar, a abandonar engañándonos. Ni sus
representantes son tan buenos como quisieran ni, por supuesto, tan mediocres como algunos nos los
pintan. Ama a tu Iglesia. Da la cara por ella. (aporte de P. Javier Leoz)
Rincón Parroquial
PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA PARROQUIA EN ESPAÑOL
Misas en español:
Los domingos a las 12:00 pm. Todos los jueves a las 7 de la noche. Cada
primer jueves del mes se celebra la misa para los enfermos donde pedimos la
sanación física y espiritual para los participantes.
Hora Santa:
Un momento de adoración al Santísimo Sacramento todos los viernes a las 7:00
p.m. en la Iglesia. Cada segundo viernes del mes tenemos la Hora Santa de
Sanación pidiendo a Jesús sacramentado sanación espiritual y corporal.
Únicamente los primeros viernes del mes la adoración tiene lugar en la Capilla
de la Adoración al lado de la Casa parroquial.
Confesiones:
Tienen lugar siempre media hora antes de la misa los jueves en el horario de
6:30- 7:00 pm. Además el viernes durante la adoración del Santísimo
Sacramento de 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Despacho Parroquial:
Suministra toda la información relacionada con los sacramentos, celebraciones y
todas las actividades que se realizan en la Parroquia San José Obrero.
Bautizos de los niños:
Inscripciones para Bautizos son de lunes a viernes en el horario de la oficina de
9:00 am.- 4:45 pm
Presentación de los niños:
Se pide a los padres anunciar con anticipación en el despacho parroquial
(oficina) o antes de la misa el deseo de presentar sus hijos/as en la misa de
domingo. Todo eso para tomar los datos del niño o la niña ponerlo en la oración
y mencionarlo en la misa.

Celebration of the Feast of the Divine Mercy
April 3, 2016
“My Heart overflows with great mercy for souls, and especially for
poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers
to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My
Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the
tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow My graces upon souls”

“On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out
a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My
mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion
shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day
all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no
soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.” #699
Novena to The Divine Mercy which Jesus instructed me to write down
and make before the Feast of Mercy. It begins on Good Friday. “I desire
that during these nine days you bring souls to the fount of My mercy,
that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever
graces they need in the hardships of life and, especially, at the hour of
death.” #1209
Soon, we will celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy which was established by Jesus Christ Himself
through Saint Faustina. The Divine Mercy is the great love of God for us, who shows His mercy for
human misery, who desires to embrace us again and give us his abundant love, which is our true and
everlasting happiness.
Jesus directly asked Saint Faustina to start the novena on Good Friday before the Feast of Divine
Mercy. He also dictated intentions for each day of the novena.

“Serce Moje jest przepełnione miłosierdziem wielkim dla dusz, a
szczególnie dla biednych grzeszników. Oby mogły zrozumieć, że Ja
jestem dla nich Ojcem najlepszym, że dla nich wypłynęła z Serca
Mojego Krew i Woda, jako z krynicy przepełnionej miłosierdziem, dla
nich mieszkam w tabernakulum, jako Król miłosierdzia, pragnę
obdarzać dusze łaskami”. #367
“W dniu tym otwarte są wnętrzności miłosierdzia Mego, wylewam
całe morze łask na dusze, które się zbliżą do źródła miłosierdzia
Mojego; która dusza przystąpi do spowiedzi i Komunii św., dostąpi
zupełnego odpuszczenia win i kar. W dniu tym otwarte są wszystkie
upusty Boże, przez które płyną łaski; niech się nie lęka zbliżyć do
Mnie żadna dusza, chociażby grzechy jej były jako szkarłat”. #699
“Nowenna do Miłosierdzia Bożego, którą mi nakazał Jezus napisać i
odprawiać przed świętem Miłosierdzia. Rozpoczyna się w Wielki
Piątek. – Pragnę, abyś przez te dziewięć dni sprowadzała dusze do
zdroju Mojego miłosierdzia, by zaczerpnęły siły i ochłody i wszelkiej
łaski, jakiej potrzebują na trudy życia, a szczególnie w śmierci
godzinie.” #1209
Już niebawem będziemy obchodzić Święto Miłosierdzia Bożego które zostało ustanowione przez
samego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa, za pośrednictwem świętej Faustyny.
Boże Miłosierdzie to ogromna miłość Boga do nas, który okazuje miłosierdzie wobec ludzkiej nędzy,
pragnie nas na nowo przygarnąć do siebie udzielając nam obficie swej Boskiej Miłości, która jest
naszym prawdziwym i ostatecznym szczęściem.
Pan skierował do Siostry Faustyny słowa prosząc aby w Wielki Piątek rozpocząć nowennę przed
świętem Bożego Miłosierdzia. On sam również podyktował jej intencje na każdy dzień tej nowenny.
