Through baptism, each one of us
become configured to Jesus Christ. In a
sense, each one of us had a star stop and
come to rest over the place where we
were baptized, for in that instant, we
become Christ for others. As we
celebrate the Solemnity of the Epiphany
of the Lord, let us be attentive to the great story of the Magi
from the East. Let us pray that the presence of Christ will be
manifested through us to a world longing for justice and
peace.

Adult Faith Formation
On this, the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the
Lord, may we all join in one song of praise to the
Lord for the wondrous gift he has given: “We
saw his star at its rising and have come to do him
homage.”
This week’s adult faith activities are:
English Bible Study Every Sunday, 9:15 – 10:45 am (Adult Faith
Formation/Family Life Center)
The Gospel of St. Luke (English only), led by Mark Drogin. Tuesday,
7:00 – 8:30pm, Adult Faith Office (FLC)
St. Paul Reading Group (English only), led by Therese Frank. We will
be reading and discussing Romans chapters 9 – 11. New members are
always welcome. Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm, Adult Faith Office (FLC)
Adult Faith Formation Sessions conducted in English will begin
Saturday, January 19, 9:30 – 11:30 am.
RCIA/RICA This week’s topic will be the Sacraments, with special
attention given to Baptism.” For English, come to ‘Mother Theresa.
RCIA for Children 8 and older
Year I and 2, Parents Classes will resume this week - January

Esta semana las actividades para la Formación de adultos son:
Formación para Adultos. Este mes empiezan las segundas series. Las
clases en Español empiezan en Enero 8, 2008 de 7-9 p.m. en la cafetería
de la escuela. Tema: “Los siete sacramentos.”Recordarse de traer una
Biblia, si tiene.
RICA-El tema de esta semana, será el de los sacramentos, con una
atención especial hacia el bautismo. Para Español en Tomas Aquino y en
ingles en el salón de la Madre Theresa (las dos en el Centro de Vida
Familiar)
Las clases /RICA para niños de 8 años en adelante,
Año I y II: Papas las clases continuaran esta semana 8 de Enero, 2008 a
las 4:30 y 7 de la tarde.
Adolescentes, jueves 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. en el salón Juan Diego
Kenosis- no abra clases el 30 de Diciembre. Se reiniciaran el 6 de Enero
de 2 a 3p.m. en el Cuarto Juan Diego

Children and Youth Faith Formation
Promoción Y Conocimiento Vocacional
CCD Classes resume this week, January 6th – 9th, 2008. We look
forward to seeing you back in faith formation class. May your New Year
2008 be filled with joy, peace, and love.
Dear All,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the honor and joy of
being with you as St. Luke’s Vocations Coordinator. You have left many
beautiful memories in my heart. After much prayer, discernment and
dialogue, I have asked to resign from St. Luke’s Vocations Office as of
December 21st 2007.
First Reconciliation for students preparing for First Eucharist begin
on Saturday, January 12th and January 19th at 1:00 p.m. Please meet
in the Church. Middle School and High School students will have First
Reconciliation on Saturday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m., please meet in
the Family Life Center.
The Vocations Chalice program and First Thursday Adoration will
continue yet we need a volunteer to step forward to coordinate its
functionings. Please contact Father Clair or Father Jorge if you wish to
give of your time and talent.

Formación Religiosa Para Niños y Jóvenes
Las clases del catecismo empiezan nuevamente el 6 de Enero y el 9 de
Enero 2008 respectivamente. Esperamos verlos a todos de nuevo en las
clases nuevamente. Que este nuevo año 2008 esté lleno de alegría, paz y
amor.
Querida comunidad:
Me gustaría tomar esta oportunidad para agradecerles a todos por el honor
y la alegría de estar entre ustedes como coordinadora vocacional aquí en
San Lucas. Han dejado muchas experiencias hermosas en mi corazón.
Después de rezar mucho, de discernimiento y dialogo, he pedido retirarme
de la oficina de Vocaciones de San Lucas el 21 de Diciembre 2007.
La primera confesión para estudiantes que se preparan para la
primera comunión, empiezan el día 12 de Enero, y el 19 de Enero a la
1de la tarde. Favor de ir directamente a la Iglesia. Los estudiantes de
preparatoria y educación media tendrán su primera confesión el día
sábado 26 de enero a la 1 de la tarde, favor de ir directamente al Centro
de Vida Familiar, Gracias!
El Cáliz vocacional y su programa y la adoración eucarística el primer
jueves continuaran sin embargo todavía necesitamos voluntarios
entregados para coordinar estas actividades y su funcionamiento. Les
pedimos por favor de contactar al padre Clair o padre Jorge, si están
interesados de dar su tiempo y sus talentos. Gracias!
