BAPTISM
The baptism of children of registered
parishioners is celebrated on the last Sunday of
each month. Baptisms are not celebrated during
the season of Lent. Parents must attend a prior
formation session and a rehearsal.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
This sacrament is celebrated once a year during
weekend Masses and is available at other times
on request.
PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK
Our Parish Care Givers bring the Eucharist to
those who are sick in hospitals, nursing homes
or in their own residences.
MARRIAGE
Couples contemplating this sacrament must
contact the Parish office at least 6 months prior
to their desired wedding date.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Our Lord, before returning to the Father, promised His followers
the Holy Spirit and charged them with being His “witness in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth” (Acts1:8).
At Baptism, we too were called to be Christ’s witnesses. We are to
share our faith with those around us, and to support, in prayer and
sacrifice, the work of missionaries who bring the “Good News” of
Jesus to faraway places – to Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands,
and remote regions of Latin America.
On World Mission Sunday, celebrated on October 19, the
Catholics of the world unite at Mass to recommit ourselves to this
Baptismal vocation to be missionaries. As we pray and respond
here at home, we are replicating what is also taking place in every
parish and chapel in every corner of the globe. Your generosity
through the Society for the Propagation of the Faith will reach
those who await the “Good News” of Jesus, who long to
experience His hope and love.
More than 1,150 young churches in the Developing World count on
your generous response the World Mission Sunday. Please also
continue to pray that all of us in the Archdiocese of Miami may be
eager and effective witness of Jesus, as He asked us to be.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,
Nuestro Señor antes de regresar al Padre, le prometió a Sus
seguidores el Espíritu Santo y les dio el mandato de ser Su
“testigo en Jerusalén, y en toda la Judea y Samaria, hasta los
confines de la tierra” (Hechos 1:8)
En el Bautismo, nosotros también fuimos llamados a ser testigos
de Cristo. Debemos compartir nuestra fe con ésos alrededor de
nosotros, y para apoyar, en oración y sacrificio, el trabajo de
misioneros que traen la “Buena Nueva” de Jesús a lugares lejanos
– África, a Asia, a las Islas del Pacifico y a las regions apartadas
de Latinoamérica.
En el Domingo Mundial de la Misiones, celebrando, este ano el 19
de octubre, los católicos del mundo se unen en Misa para
comprometernos a esta vocación Bautismal de ser misioneros.
Orando y respondiendo aquí en casa, nosotros replicamos lo que
también sucede en cada parroquia y capilla en todos los rincones
del globo. Su generosidad por la Sociedad de las Propagación de
la Fe alcanzará los que esperan la “Buena Nueva” de Jesús, que
desean experimentar Su esperanza y amor.
Más de 1,150 iglesias jóvenes en los países en vías de desarrollo
esperan su respuesta generosa este Domingo Mundial de la

tuition for the year is $110.00, but, if you cannot afford
the total amount, you can give a partial donation towards
one. Please contact Lucy Bird at 954-961-7777 or come
by the Office. You can also place your sponsorship
money in the Collection Basket, clearly identified. May
God bless you abundantly for helping His children grow
closer to Him.
"From Violence To Wholeness" is a ten part
process in the spirituality and practice of active
non-violence. If you are interested in learning
about the spirituality of being non-violent towards
yourself and all others, I invite you to come to a
meeting on October 6th at 7:00 pm in the Tapestry
Room.

NEXT MEETING: Thursday, November 13th
from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm in the Social Hall
Country Fair ride tickets are now available for purchase
at the Pavilion after the masses or in the office during
the week. Prices are: $60 for all four days of
the fair, $30 for all day Saturday or Sunday,
$20 on Thursday or Friday all day. Buy
them now they will cost more after the fair
starts. We are taking ticket donations for
children who otherwise would not be able to attend the
fair. Maybe you could be the one to bring miles of
smiles to a child.
We are also asking for donations of:
Bingo – Prizes,
Christmas/Handmade – Wreaths, decorations, any
handmade towels, aprons, etc.
Basket Booth – Basket prizes Gift Cards
Kids Games – Small toys or stuffed animals for prizes,
Cake Booth - Chocolate or yellow cake mixes only. We do
not need any frostings.
Bar – Unopened rum, vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon, scotch
wine and beer,
