Si el ciclo presentado en EneroFebrero, “La Aristocracia del
Flamenco” fue un homenaje a
la Historia de este Arte, “BARCELONA FLAMENCA” es y será,
un homenaje al presente y
futuro del flamenco.
If the cycle presented in January-February, “The
Aristocracy of Flamenco”, was a tribute to the
history of this art, “BARCELONA FLAMENCA” is
and will be a tribute to the present and future of
the flamenco.
Muy pocas veces en un escenario, y
nunca en un Tablao, se habrán reunido tal lujo de prestigiosos profesionales como desfilarán a lo largo de
estos en Cordobés. Ganadores de
los más imporantes Premios Nacionales de Córdoba, La Unión, Cádiz,
Giraldillo de la Bienal de Sevilla….
All of this in the light of Barcelona, the city that today is
an undeniable force in the flamenco. Reality is stubborn,
despite those who consider it’s not “politically correct”,
but the truth is that our city is a undisputed lighthouse
in the flamenco.
Todo ello a la luz de Barcelona, la ciudad que hoy por hoy es una indiscutible potencia en el flamenco. La realidad es tozuda y, mal que les pese
a quienes no lo consideran “políticamente correcto”, nuestra ciudad es
un referente en el flamenco.
Porque la lista de los flamencos más ilustres está llena de catalanes: Miguel
Poveda, Montse Cortés, Duquende etc, sin citar ya a los innumerables artistas que Cataluña da a este arte, sin que casi nadie se haga eco de ello.
Porque el número de aficionados barceloneses y catalanes al flamenco crece
cada día a pie de calle. Proliferan conciertos flamencos en centros cívicos,
discotecas, teatros, restaurantes…
Porque, gracias también a Cordobés, que durante 40 años viene siendo escuela de la mayoría de los flamencos catalantes y punto de encuentro de los
mejores flamencos de toda España.
Partly because the list of the most famous flamenco figures is full of Catalans: Miguel Poveda, Montse Cortés,
Duquende etc, without mentioning all the countless artists that Catalonia got and that are completely anonymous
and ignored by the public since one and a half century ago.
And finally, also partly, because of that the number of fans in Barcelona and Catalonia is growing every day. We
can see every day flamenco concerts proliferate in community centres, clubs, theatres, restaurants ...
Partly because Barcelona has become a cultural power, thanks to the strength of the increasing tourism, which
allows us to work with the most important artists of Spain.
Very few stages, and never in a Tablao, have had the
luxury to gather so many prestigious professionals as
we will during the next few months on our stage. All of
them are winners of the most important National Awards
of Córdoba, La Unión, Cádiz, El Giraldillo of the Biennial
of Seville...

An artistically high-voltage program, a minimalistic show, focused on two of the best
soloists from each show of the super production “Barcelona Flamenca” at the Cordobes. (*)
A space that will be covered -and this can only happen at the Cordobes- by the best
artists in both disciplines. (*)

Master Classes
La Fundación Tablao Cordobés iniciará un ciclo de clases
magistrales de guitarra, cante y baile a cargo de las figuras que van a ir sucediéndose en nuestro escenario.
The Tablao Cordobes Foundation will start a cycle of Master classes on
guitar, flamenco song and dance by the great figures that will be appearing
on our stage.
